They had a decent amount of CASH cars to choose from. I got a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with only 100k miles for $750. That was a steal! The process was easy and fairly quick since I wasn't financing. I wish they did a better job of "detailing" like they said they would but the outside was cleaned and shined up nicely.

This dealer is shady, good luck buying a vehicle from them. I offered full asking price for a vehicle if they fixed the tire light on the dash. They refused and lowered the price a few days later. I made several requests to speak to general manager and they would not get back to me.

If you’re considering South Chicago Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Inc. and haven’t committed yet, I have one word for you: RUN. I came to South Chicago Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Inc. to potentially trade in my vehicle on 9/7/2021. Roy, the salesman I spoke with, was beyond rude. He assumed that, because I am a disabled woman, I would be unable to afford any difference on a vehicle if I traded with them. He was visibly shocked to learn that I have excellent credit, and I was met with utter disbelief that I would be able to pay for a car in any capacity. His behavior was unacceptable, prejudicial, and downright offensive. When they finally pulled the car I was interested in around for me to inspect, multiple dashboard alert lights were on (including check engine), the van was filthy, and the taillights were literally smashed in. When I pointed these things out to Roy, and mentioned how different the car was from the images online, he said “So?” as though that would excuse it. My ultimate message is to avoid this dealer at all costs. They wasted my time - don’t let them waste yours.

Worst place ever. I wouldn't shop here. I called about a car and they said they are willing to negotiate price . I came to see a salesman who said they would not negotiate on the price. Then I called back and asked why they told me that and the woman I spoke to before said she was sorry to come back in and said now they were willing to negotiate the price. I went back in and they told me they wouldn't negotiate the price. They lie in this place.

i give it 2 stars only because they deceived me. i saw an 07 charger for 2000 dollars spoke with the sales agent and he said the car was still available so i told him im on my way. i gets there and he tell me he has bad news and tells me the car has mechanical problem's that it wont go over 20 miles an hour. waste of my precious time because he knew that when i spoke with him only got me there to try to sell me something else.

I can't speak for others but I purchased my first car from here back in 2012 and have always received good service. I personally feel its better to get your car serviced on the week day when it is less busy. Dave is awesome and hard working. The workers are always quick to acknowledge your presence and ask if you need anything. Some say dealerships are more pricey but I found out the hard way, I'd rather take my car here as opposed to a fly by night mechanic just to save an extra buck. keep up the good work guys

Traveled from Elkhart to Chicago to see a vehicle they had listed online for $7,000. Never actually got to see the vehicle because it was "a block away" and "needed some work." After explaining our situation and what we were looking for, the salesmen immediately wanted to put us into a vehicle which was far more than what we were looking for. Pulled the old "you need something reliable," card. Salesmen was kind, but we just got the feeling he was definitely more interested in HIS sale than our needs. Would not recommend working with this dealership based on this interaction.

This dealership lied to me....both on the price and the financing (tried adding $1300 once I got there), agreed to it before I drove 2.5 hrs with my wife and 18-month-old to get the vehicle (which they knew), and told me in person that the woman from the internet service team that I communicated with multiple times may or may not exist but that it doesn’t matter nor did it matter what we agreed to. “It doesn’t matter what she said.” Words from the GM. The internet service team part was just odd. The sales rep said Chrysler does unusual things with their internet team like it was a separate entity that was outsourced. Then wouldn’t answer when I asked if the woman was in the back (I wanted to get her involved to clear things up). At best, they were rude and have extremely poor practices that cost me a day and countless headaches. But my experience makes me think the folks I worked with were not honest and this was a shady tactic. I’d avoid this place or be sure to get every communication in writing (not sure if that would help). And they hit my credit twice without even agreeing to a price. I shouldn’t have filled anything out without getting everything in writing re price first. I could’ve avoided that but trusted them.

Darious is the absolute best go- to! He made everything so easy and quick. I was initially interested in a mustang but ended up driving out of the showroom with a 2019 Jeep renegade with only 10 miles on it!!!! I left super happy and when I found out a coworker of mine was on the lookout for a new car... of course I took him the nothing but the BEST! I would recommend this dealership there always very nice always friendly they try to get to you at a timely pace but it's busy in the I love Larry at the service desk he's always nice and goes out his way to do the best he can he will listen to explain what's wrong and if it's still not working he will tell you to bring it back in with know problem that's call get service. Now the cashier need a little training the are not people friendly but 90 percent of my experience was good.

These people are crooks!! They we're calling me for weeks telling me to come test drive a car that I was interested in so I finally decided to go and test drive the car and most likely buy it. I am reading the reviews and I am wondering if we all visited the same dealership? I called about a Dodge Ram pickup on 5/13/2019 11am. I was informed the dealership had the truck but could not sell it until a financial hold was removed. I asked "Eddie" to please call me when it was, I would come buy the truck. On 5/14 A follow call from dealership was received also inquiring if that was my price range, being the same amount of truck? I explained it was, and really had interest in the truck. On 5/17 I was called from Eddie stating the financial hold was removed, I could come get the truck. I asked if I could give them payment over the phone because I lived an hour and a half away and didn't want it gone before I got there. They stated they could not do that, that I should just get there...So, I left my house. Called and spoke to "Eric" I was on my way, told him the distance, offered payment yet again. At 7pm Eric called, I answered told him I'm approximately 20 minutes away 2 1/2 hours sitting in traffic/ driving there, he said he pulled the truck in front for me...I got there 730pm. Eric introduced himself, went for the keys...walked over to me and said, "Oh, I didn't know, my co-worker sold the truck".....No apology, no nothing....I said, "Thanks, I'll be sure to leave a review of my experience". Here it is...I did manage to make it to work by 1030pm...So I guess there's the highlight. To me, it was bad business. Readers can judge for themselves.

Spoke to associate Juan about a really good deal for a car. Went to this dealership to buy the car and I live an hour away so I called before I left TWICE and they confirmed the car was there. When I arrived they told me the car was sold HOURS ago. I was extremely upset to find out that I just wasted 2 hours. Very unprofessional dealership and I think they post really good deals to bait and switch customers.

Not nice at all, I have a perfect 800 credit score and these people didnt even get to see it because they wouldn't even consider discussing prices on a Dodge Charger. It had to be dug out of the snow to even test drive it and there were scratches on it but they wouldn't even entertain discussing price

Came to look at a Used Car they had in stock. Happy that they didn’t waste my time trying to put me in a different car. However, they did attempt to add a 3500 dollar “premium warranty” to my bill without my knowledge and get me to agree to a loan without telling me the interest rate or showing me the break down of what would be in the loan as far as fees and taxes. When I pointed this out and asked for a printed version of the break down, they weren’t very happy with me. Additionally, I had 3 inquiries into my credit after leaving there. I was expecting one. Just another thing they weren’t up front about. They left a residue from a sticker on the back driver side window. When I went to clean it off, I found that there were two tears in the tint as a result of them tearing the sticker with too much force. Additionally, the residue from their sticker is impossible to get off. The entire windows tint will have to be replaced. Finally, the after the test drive, a TPMS light came on as I was driving the car home. They had the tires inflated to 45 PSI when the tires should have been filled to 33 and 32 PSI. Overall, this place left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn’t send anyone to this dealership unless they were willing to bring their own inspection tools and were ready to peruse their loan terms and charges with a magnifying glass. Salesmanship is one thing; but trying to sneak a premium warranty that is worth 23% of the cars price is damn near theft.

Reliable and responsive took my Jeep in and had it serviced and a couple repairs done. This was completed expeditiously had my Jeep back in a day. Wasn’t quite satisfied with the way the car was felt at high speed talked to the services guys and they agreed to balance the tires and check for structural integrity, which they did now the car feels great and I can testify to their commitment to customer service. Came here for an oil change. Specifically told them to use a specific kind and instead, they used a cheaper one. At check out, I noticed the price was significantly lower. So after waiting for 2 hours, I had to wait for them to fix the mistake that they made.

My experience was awesome, I was drawn to South Chicago for their great black Friday deals. I'm so glad I decided to go to. The salesman ( Darnell Brown) was so helpful and friendly, he made the whole process go really smoothly although it was 6am and the store was packed but he wasn't rushing me he was intent on helping me. Worse service I have ever experienced. Very unprofessional, rude and all about a dollar! I came in inquiring about a car and their only concern was how much money I had. I was suppose to wait 1 day for an answer, never heard back from anyone after a full week. Spoke to the general manager TOM and he is as rude and lifeless as they come! My credit was ran illegally twice with no authorization. It doesn't take 3 credit inquires to obtain 1 score! Nothing was done for my inconvenience, not even an apology! I will be reporting this dealership to the BBB, as well as obtaining an attorney because it is clear South Chicago Dodge thinks my personal information is a joke. Will never recommend a soul to this place. Don't think you have to settle with incompetence and ignorance just because you lack less than a perfect credit score. There are plenty of dealerships that will be happy to assist you with some respect. Be careful!

[True story] I found a Toyota Rav4 2017 listed online for $17,000 and i called them to negotiate about the price over the phone because i live about 150 miles away and wanted to have everything done over the phone so when i get to the dealership i can only view the car and pay the price that we made a deal about. over the phone the guy called Karl made the deal with me about the car for $15,500+tax+..etc. I decided to take the trip, the car had many damages that they never told me about and they have an accident that wasn't reported on the Car-fax report, the front bumper was painted (cheap labor) with a color that doesn't match the body. i was okay with all that , i was thinking that i'm going to spend couple more thousands so i get the car to be in a nice shape. we decided to buy the car and asked for the full price including taxes and everything. they lied about the price they gave me over the phone and told me that $17,000+tax... is the lowest we can get to and the car will be sold out of the door for $19,000. I was so upset and they didn't even care that i drove over 150 miles to get there. they were trying to bring me to see the car and sell it for a different price. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO PEOPLE? overall, I've had this bad experience with them and wanted to share it with everybody so you would be aware of the I promise that nobody paid me to write this review and all the information and events were real and happened on Saturday 11/24/2018, 2:30-4 PM.

I made an appointment to see a vehicle 2 days prior, I did not have an exact time but I did assured them that I was going. I had 3 different representatives call me in the morning on the day of my appointment!! I guess they are persistent, cannot blame them, it is their job. I did explained to them I was going today, plus I even called an hour before to let them know I was heading. Well... upon arriving it took about an hour and a half just to see the vehicle I was interested in. I was extremely displeased at the way the vehicle was presented!!!!! First of all the vehicle smelled disgusting, it was filthy!!!!! The tires had no thread on them!! The oil was dark brown and not honey brown!! There were many under scrapes on the vehicle!! Plus when I drove it it had a nasty sound on the bottom, and the vehicle did not have no brakes!!! If South Chicago was so persistent in calling me to make sure I was going to be present, at least make the vehicle look good!!! I made an offer but they rejected it, regardless I am so happy they did because that vehicle is not even worth what they are selling it for!!!

I phoned this dealer prior to visiting to find out more details on the vehicle of interest. I spoke to a sales associate by the name of John, who then asked his sales manager if the listed price of the vehicle was negotiable. Even after I was told no, I stated I would be coming to look at the vehicle in person and John would be there as a point of contact for me. I walked into the dealer and asked for John, another sales associate stated that they were unsure where he was but he would be able to assist in his place. I told him what vehicle I was looking for and the gentleman went to find out where the car was located on the lot. When the gentleman came back, he informed me that the vehicle has not been on the lot for the last three days due to issues with the engine. Upon hearing this I was infuriated, as I just drove 1.5 hours to see this vehicle and I even called beforehand to verify the car had not been sold. The salesperson deferred me to the manager at this point. When the manager addressed me, his first was reaction was to act in a playful regard as if it was ok that the vehicle was not on the lot as there are plenty to look at. Above this, he took zero accountability for providing misleading information. His behavior was distasteful and very insensitive. This dealership operates in poor taste, and should really consider reassessing it’s core values. Clearly, they do not hold customer service at the forefront of their foundations . Consumers have options, and South Chicago Dodge Chrysler Jeep is not it.

Had a great experience last time I bought a ram here. This time was much different. They put up an internet special for a ram warlock for 30k. I My wife went to check it out. Told her the lowest they could go was 40000 plus I would need a $5,000 down. This all took place while I was at work. They decided to go ahead and run my credit report without my permission not even bothering to call me and ask. Waste of time. This was b.s...Dodge said we can't believe everything they post on the internet they do that just to lure us in. The last truck I bought there with the same type of internet deal which they had no problem with. I just think if you're going to post a deal you need to hold yourself accountable and your dealership for it.

They must be writing their own reviews because Yelp has them at a much lower rating than Google. Wish I would've seen the reviews before I brought my vehicle. Friday night I dropped off my car. Towards the end of the day they had my vehicle on Saturday for a check engine light. When I turn on the car to leave the lot the same light came on again. I bring it back and in and they tell me I have to bring it back another day because it's too late in the day. We agreed I would bring it back today Wednesday early in the morning so they can have it ready the same day. That brings me to today... I drop it off at 7:30am when they open... apparently they only had one guy checking in vehicles because it literally took an hour for them to check me in and the cars behind me were blocking off the right lane on Western Ave. Did they apologize for this? No. Not a big deal. I just got off the phone with them at 5:40pm and they tell me the car is not ready. I said can I just pick it up and bring it back another day. The car was driveable... and they said it's taken apart right now so no. I asked for a rental and they flat out said no. I asked for a manager and the guy said the managers are gone. Did they call me to tell me it wasn't going to be ready? Absolutely not. I've been waiting around all day for my car for nothing. Talk about poor customer service. Well overall poor service too because it's the second time because they didn't resolve the issue on Saturday. Do yourself a favor and take your car elsewhere. Now I remember why I ended up not buying my car from them. Now I know to not bring it in for service as well. Should've known better.

I bought my vehicle on a Thursday 3/24 at 4:00 pm. My check engine light came on at 6:00 pm. The very next day Friday 3/25 morning I brought my vehicle back and let the service manager Louis know that the check engine light was on. He stated to bring my vehicle back in the following Monday 3/27. I arrived at dealership on Monday morning at 8:45 am. I wasn’t notified by my salesman until 12:00 pm to drive my vehicle into the garage. At 4:00 pm I went to the service department to see what was going on because no one told me anything. My vehicle stayed at dealership from MON 3/28 - FRI 4/1. I had to call on Friday 4/1 to check on my vehicle because days went by and no one called me with an update. My car was dropped off that Friday 4/1 afternoon. On Sunday 4/3 check engine light came on again and went off later that evening. On Tuesday 4/5 my vehicle shut off on me. When I turned it back on there was a funny smell, my vehicle was shaking and check engine light came on again. I called Louis and he had a tow company come and get my car. It’s Friday 4/8 and I had to call again to check on my vehicle because once again no one called to update me. According to the technician I will be without my vehicle for another two weeks or so. I asked Louis the manager for some sort of compensation for not having a vehicle to work and support my son and he said ‘’NO”. I have lost money and time and dealership does not care about any of this when I spent my hard earned money buying a vehicle from them. Please don’t shop there or you will regret it as I have. ********DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE********

I want to start by saying this place was hell on wheels. I purchased a car with them in July, my temp plates expired in august I was told since I reside in a different state that they’re only allowed to give me one temporary plate so I did not get my original plates until October so I couldn’t even drive a car I brought until October because they sold me a car without a title. The car they gave me was infested with bed bugs and when I made a complaint about it they made it seem like I was lying about the situation. I was also promised a free oil change after buying the vehicle and when I took the vehicle to them I was told that they did not give me free oil change option the sells rep Curtis did not seem like he cared at all instead he asked why I waited so long to get an oil as if coming early would of made the situation better. I am disgusted with their customer service I will never come back to this place and I don’t recommend anyone buying a vehicle here. They’re highly unprofessional and I’m surprised that they still have their license.

I contacted this dealer via their website and they insisted I come into their store to discuss the price. I haven't had a dealer refuse to work out a deal in advance in a really long time. They obviously didn't want my business, so I won't be shopping here. For anyone doing car shopping you should always work out the deal in advance either via email or the phone. It makes it easier to do comparison shopping. I also negotiate financing up front too.

SCAM ARTISTS!! the sales team here will tell you just about anything to get you to purchase a vehicle. I bought a 2020 Audi from here in March and was given 2 guarantees when I purchased: 1. If there’s anything wrong with the brakes, the dealership will pay for repairs 2. They will supply me with a spare tire. Reggie, the sales associate I was dealing with did not hold true to his word on either of these. 4 months has passed and thousands of dollars spent later, and he does not return any of my communication or tell me how I can get reimbursed. I never write reviews, but the Service here is genuinely awful. If you are looking to buy a car, I’d advise going literally anywhere else other than here (unless you like headaches and being lied to)

I scheduled a test drive for a specific car i saw online. We even called to confirm the same day. When we got there, the car was "down the street" because something was getting cosmetically fixed and they had no way to get it. The images online showed a car with no cosmetic damages. Traveled from Elkhart to Chicago to see a vehicle they had listed online for $7,000. Never actually got to see the vehicle because it was "a block away" and "needed some work." So I finally felt as though I was ready to purchase my first car. I was going in knowing I was pre-approved through Capital One Auto Financing and having already combed through their inventory online. Saw a Toyota Camry and told myself, that's the car for me! I walked in with my mom and asked to speak to Ian, who I had been in contact with for a few days to be sure everything would go smoothly for me. I was immediately approached by Jack (can't remember his last name) as I walked in and he sat me down after I asked for Ian. After asking a couple of questions (how much would I be able to pay if I was doing a down payment, how much did I want to pay a month, etc) he went back to speak with his manager. My mom and I began getting a little agitated because we thought the entire process would be dealt with Ian and before I put pen to paper, I requested to see Ian. Ian finally came out to introduce himself and assured me that I would be in good hands with Jack, who was the salesperson. Once I was reassured, Jack explained the process to me and I stalled at hearing he wanted to pull my credit and shop around for the best offers. I'm thinking, I'm young (24), my credit history isn't that long but I do have a decent credit score, and that shopping around for good offers would be something that only people with really good credit could afford to do. But after discussing it with Ian, he assured me that it was my best option. Long story short, I ended up getting the 2011 Camry I wanted same day with no money down and an awesome monthly payment well within my stated limits (300.00 a month!). I was extremely satisfied with my interactions with everyone (Jack, Raul, and Fred, who did my financing paperwork) and I am so happy to finally have my own car! It wasn't a very long process, either. It took less than 2 hours to do everything. Definitely glad I walked into this dealership!

Ok. First off let me say the salesman (Chris) that sold me my car was extremely friendly and very nice and helpful. Got me in the car I wanted and I left a very satisfied customer. However. I had gotten my car on May 9th. I had popped my tire on May 28th. I had called this dealer and countless others to see if they had my tire in stock. They didn’t and said they had to order it. That it would be there later that day and I can get it fixed the next day. After calling a few other places with no luck, I called back and they said it would take until Monday to get the tire. I couldn’t wait that long because I had to work the weekend. I ended up taking my car to a different dealer in Tinley park who had my tire in stock. That dealer ended up doing a poor job which resulted in my car making a noise when I drove. I came back to this dealer on Monday, 1. To see what the noise was and 2. To figure out why another one of my tires PSI went from 27 to 6 in a matter of 15 mins. I assumed it was a nail. I was correct. I explained to the mechanic what my issues were. He told me the noise was just because I had a new tire with “old” tires. My car wasn’t even a month old so I didn’t consider my tires to be “old” or at least so much so that it would cause my car to make a noise that it shouldn’t be making. I know nothing about cars but I know for a fact that the noise wasn’t from a new tire. The noise sounded like a popped tire scrapping against the floor. He fixed my other tire that had a nail in it. But completely ignored the noise coming from my car. I THEN I took my car to a mechanic in Streamwood that a friend recommended and they told me the noise was from my tire not being balanced and from careless people who didn’t change my tire right. This dealer was looted the day before I took my car. So I understand the frustration the workers might have had. BUT if you cannot do your job correctly or do not have time to fix it then let people know! You make yourself look very unprofessional and causes inconvenience to your customer. I’m very disappointed because he made it seem like I didn’t know what I was talking about and clearly I knew it wasn’t from a new tire. However the staff was friendly as always.

Why is zero stars never an option? I purchased a 2013 Dodge Caravan from this place because I was nearing the end of a bankruptcy and I was desperate. But please, never make any big purchases out of desperation. This was the biggest mistake I made. This place has always had bad reviews. They have a bunch of fake positive ones. However, one way you can always tell the difference is how vague the fake ones are and how specific the real ones are. I was even considering having someone come beat up one of their employees but I'm a mom for Pete's sake! Anyway, these people are very unprofessional once they get your money. In hindsight, they were quite unprofessional before they got my money. But again, I was desperate. They are liars. Service is always overpriced. I came in because I heard some ticking coming from my engine. which was covered by the warranty. The service rep claimed to have fixed the problem but couldn't help noticing another problem that wasn't covered under the warranty. I said no thanks and left. Everything seemed fine until I tried to drive again. That sound was still there. This time it was different though. Instead of rushing back, I continued to drive the vehicle. Until my heat stopped working out of the blue. That heat was my favorite thing about the van. However, when I come back he said the warranty was expired and I had to pay $775 for the repair! That seems a bit steep to fix the sensor? Don't you think? The warranty was a waste of money. I will never purchase even a snicker from their vending machine. Stay away!

Very disappointed wirh this dealership. I thought dealerships did 127 point inspections on the used cars they get in to sell. I just bought a car on Friday(Nov. 30th) and 20 miles away the low tire lights went on. Brought it to the neighborhood mechanic and needed 2 new tires. Also all the sensors in the tires dont work. What a joke, put 500.00 dollars in in 2 days. The manager wasnt in to talk to so I had to leave a message. Lets see if they call me back. Now its already going to be 380.00 for 4 sensors. Wow, wasnt ready for this. I will keep you posted if they dont return my calls. Well, they didnt call back, and also Tremain and Brian were good salesmen, but there is a phony post under my name in the reviews that i did not submit. Very shady. I will have to stick with buying cars in Northwest Indiana.

Overall good experience. Jorge the service consultant was very helpful and thorough. Although the repairs were minimal they could have offered or suggested having the headlight bulb replaced rather than just noting it on the invoice. I had to request that my car be brought to the front after I was told by the cashier that someone would bring it to the front. The employee who pulled the car around had terrible customer service, it was as if it was inconvenience.

My cousin used to work at this dealership so I went there to buy a 2015 Ford Explorer. Ray was my salesman and he was Excellent!!! He had the vehicle ready to test drive when I got there and answered all my questions. The finance team was Great!!! Tom and Fred got me a good rate and had me in and out. first off I want to thank everyone that works for south Chicago dodge for helping me out. I had been to several different car dealers and they all wanted a arm and a leg even for a put down payment and a really high monthly rate so this was my last stop before I just found something off craigslist. so I walked in and Mr. Brown asked what kind of car I was looking for. I really had no idea I just knew I wanted something nice and that's what he put me in something nice for a very good price. so I asked him how can I recommend someone to him for a very good business man he told me just write a review. I hope u seen this I kept my word like you kept yours thanks Darnell Brown for all the help.

The WORST experience I've ever had at a car dealer. I went to see a used car they had advertised for 2 weeks on their website and the CarGurus website. I liked the car and told the salesman I would buy it. He sat me down and told me he would be right back. When he came back he said he couldn't sell the car to me because there was still a lien on the title. Because the salesman was repeatedly interrupted during my visit I wasted 2 hours of time at this dealer plus 2 hours driving to the dealer and back home. They play games. Why advertise a car "FOR SALE" if they can't sell it? The car remained advertised afterward and I sent a sarcastic inquiry only to be told it had been sold the day before. I wouldn't waste my time at this miserable dealer. Sadly Google forces me to give them at least one star when they don't deserve any stars.

Horrible communication. Don’t expect to hear back from them unless you are a guaranteed sale. RJ assured me he would get back to me regarding financing no matter what the outcome. Not true. Doesn’t even respond to texts/emails/chat. Extremely dishonest and unprofessional way to do business. Plenty of dealers who are responsive and professional regardless of your financial status/credit score. Find a different dodge dealer if you are looking to buy.

I bought a Buick Lacrosse from here and I absolutely love it. My sales person was Terence Peaks and he did a great job helping me & he is very professional. Overall, he made me feel comfortable while I waited to sign paperwork. The location is clean and friendly. I will be back soon for my next vehicle.
