Derek was great to work with! He helped us to determine how to get the most cash out of our home. He was very professional, patient and knowledgeable unlike some of his competitors who really only wanted to make a commission and were very pushy and disrespectful to me and tried to make me feel like Derek wasn’t on the up and up. Derek presented several options to us and helped us to decide to complete a HELOC! We now have refinanced our second mortgage at a lower interest rate and have cash to pay off our other debt which was our ultimate goal!

I met Lawrence for the first time when I was refinancing my first home. At the time I had only ever worked with one other lender and kind of assumed they all worked the same way. I very quickly found out that this was not the case. Lawrence communicated with me every step of the way and truly helped me understand the entire process. Since then, I have purchased two additional homes and I would never think to use anyone other than Lawrence for a number of reasons. I have referred Lawrence to anyone I know who was looking to refi or purchase over the past couple of years and they have all had the same response. I went through west capital lending to attempt a refinance for my house. Initially everything was going great. They were very fast with response time and very helpful with thing I needed to take care of on my end to complete the process. About 2 weeks into the refinance things started heading south. It was difficult to get a response in a timely manner and if I did it was not with any useful information. I was initially told I was not going to have to pay for an appraisal due to the house being so new. I was also told I was approved for the loan I desired. After the appraisal came back, it was lower than anticipated. From that point on I received no reaching out to keep me informed or anything. I went days with no up to date info. I reached out multiple times and again was divine the answer of “I don’t know”. Finally I looked at my online portal and seen that the loan went completely inactive. It was dropped completely. I reached out to the finance officer and asked the reason behind it and he said he called the day before and left a voicemail. Which he did not. So basically if you’re wanting to waste a month of your time and $875 to get nothing accomplished and for them to just say “sorry we couldn’t make it work”, I would go through west capital lending. If you’re wanting to actually close on a loan and feel supported in trying to accomplish that goal I would highly suggest going through another lender.

We had a pleasure financing and closing our real estate purchase with Olga Kent from West Capital Lending. Olga was wonderful to work with! She is a very patient and detail oriented person, her communication were always on point. Very happy customers.

I couldn’t have had a worse experience with West Capital. We were working on a refinance of my home, and it seems like everything was a lie from the beginning. The loan was supposed to close within four weeks. We “locked” the rate, everything went well with the appraisal and we supplied all documentation almost immediately. While in underwriting (three weeks later), they tell me that the rate actually changed between the time I authorized the lock and when they sent the lock to the desk, but they just locked a new rate without notifying me. Then they tell me that they were actually wrong about the product that Rocket Mortgage was offering and that the LTV had to be reduced by 5%. The broker really just didn’t understand the product guidelines from the beginning. After that, they switched me to a new lender that wasted my time for two more months (Finance of America). I was skeptical of the new lender so I asked them not to cancel the Rocket loan. They cancelled it anyway and lied about it. Each time we submitted the due diligence the new lender requested, they would come up with a new diligence item out of nowhere. At one point they told me that THEY accidentally submitted the wrong tax transcript request form and they needed me to complete a new form for submission. I received a closing disclosure and then they requested ANOTHER DD item. Finally West Capital claimed they were still working on the loan and it would close after my tax transcript was received from the IRS. I just stopped contacting them and I never heard anything again. That whole place is a joke and Hunter Postell specifically is just a liar. The processor, Susie Lim, seems like a very nice person but the originator even lies to her. I would recommend staying away from them at all costs.

I initially received a mailer along with hundreds of others offering low rates. I usually pass over them but something compelled me to reach out to them to see what they could do with a cash out refi. I called up and spoke with Andy Varcoe. He made the process very easy, prior to pulling my credit he sent me some scenarios and all were very reasonable. I reached back out to him and chose the one that made sense. He mentioned that they can close fast. My last refinance took 60 days and I was worried if rates were going up they would not be able to close fast before I could lock them in. Needless to say, I applied on the third of March signed on the 17th and had money in the bank on the 22nd. By far, this was the smoothest and quickest closing I have been a part of. I would credit the fast closing with Andy’s team and more specifically, Elizabeth Rodriguez, running things in the back ground. She ensured the appraisal, title and everything else was set up for the smooth process. I would like to thank both them and West Capital Lending for making this process too easy. It almost makes me want to refinance every other month using them and their team. I highly recommend West Capital Lending, Andy and Elizabeth. - Jason H

Amazing, simple, and quick process! I did a cash out refi and this was the easiest process I've ever experienced in all my years of home buying/refinancing.
