Wells Fargo Bank Monticello Ave, Williamsburg

Have been transferring my account after the death of my mother and they have been extremely helpful the whole time. Richard Gulledge was my banker today and was extremely helpful, understanding, and professional. Definitely an asset to the bank.

I opened an account online, I needed to bring my ID in. I didn't have an appointment but I was seen by Philip Jones. He was very courteous, he ask all the right questions, he was in no hurry trying to rush off. He answered all my questions and promises to follow up with a phone call for other questions I have. He was wonderful. Thank you Mr Jones. Keep up your awesome personality,great attitude.

This branch has EXCELLENT customer service, so the negative reviews are surprising. The staff members at the Monticello branch are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The manager(s) walk around often to make sure customers have their needs met and expedite service. They go above and beyond to help!

I have been banking with Wells Fargo for over 4 years now and I walked into the Monticello Ave location seeking some assistance with a problem I was having with an account. I had a nice experience with Jessica, the service manager. She helped resolve the issue I was having and made it right and the staff at this location was very kind and helpful. I am glad that I came to the Monticello location because the manager, Greg, at the Quarterpath Rd. location in Williamsburg was not willing to help me with this same issue. I was even told by another individual who works for Wells Fargo that Greg lied to me. It boggles me how one location (Monticello) can be so helpful while another (Quarterpath) could care less. It looks like I will be driving all the way across town to the Monticello branch if I have any more issues. Thanks Jessica and the team at the Monticello Ave branch.

General branch manager was very rude, incredibly slow service, after a failed attempt one of the staff members said "sir, Mr.Flynn's been here for quite a while, we should resolve this later." When the general branch manager replied, "I don't care, Mr.Flynn's time dosen't matter." NEVER AGAIN.

I truly hate this bank but I have great respect for the employees. Today I went to get uros for Europe. They always have foreign exchange. Other Banks they don’t give it the same day. The building could use some renovation. The employees keep me as a customer. I know they don’t get a lot of money yet they work like it’s their own entity.

Let’s start with the fact I hated WellsFargo for a long time because they fi their best to take my house. I do all my banking on line. I have a business account with Wells Fargo. I had to go in their store. The teller recognized me from a significant withdrawal. Then I proceed it to talk to a banker. Ran into the manager. I told him I needed something. Not only he didn’t at list ask me what I needed but he cut me twice from trying to talk to him and he left me waiting to get a banker to help me. I tried to call customer service later on to make a complain and praise the banker who went out of her way. Imagine if you can. Wells Fargo does not have a Department for such transactions. I was told they have one but the public can’t call. Unbelievable! I’m not giving up although it’s time consuming. Don’t you either. Remember 2008.

I've been with Wells Fargo since late 2014. So I'm a loyal customer, but we have been here waiting for more than 30 minuets to simply print off a piece of paper. I don't understand. It's always something with this branch. I come here because I work in the shopping center & live close. But might have to switch to another location, it's always something. Went to the one off of Warwick in Newport news a few times and it trumps this one in the dirt.

Lies on ATM deposits stating the funds will be available the next day. Then, when the funds aren't available when the ATM receipt, they refuse to give the check back. That is stealing. We must change our laws in this country.

Excellent first visit with Moses introducing himself as the manager! Great service from the teller. Second visit was superior and my teller was very welcoming to me to the bank and Williamsburg!
