Navy Federal Credit Union Monticello Ave Ste F, Williamsburg

Just like other locations, they share a parking lot with surrounding stores on the area. The staff are friendly and helpful. There were lots of tellers available so it was easy in and easy out for me and others. The inside was spacious compared to some locations that I've been to. They are located in a shopping with other stores and restaurants, so you can take care a lot of things while in the area.

Went there today to cash a business check that I been cashing for the past 7 years every month. First time going to this branch cause I had a job near there. The teller tells me they have to leave the check in for two days. The amount was only $325. I ask why because it should show in the system it's done every month. She tells me it's a new rule. I was wondering was it cause I was black in this area. I left the branch and went to Newport News and cash the check with no problem. I ask the teller there about the new rule and the teller tells me that's now right. My account shows that I cash the same check from the same company every 30 days. I advise anybody that go there to be prepared for some bs.

Went and deposited my paycheck just like any other week, but this time they decided to put a 2 day hold on it. When asked why she said every branch has their own rules. So then I called as was told the branch can choose to override the hold, when I called the branch I was told no they will not lift the hold. Even though it's the same check as every week and I've been a customer for years. Done with navy federal.

I went here Wednesday to pick up my loan payoff check and the two women at the entrance were busy doing training, I think? I told them that I’m here to pick up my loan payoff check and the person in training said “Ok so you’re here for a loan?” I responded with no. I’m not sure how else I could clarify but I tried anyways. The sad part is that the second person who was “training” the other person was actually one of the people who worked at the sit down desks but she wasn’t very helpful. They could also use some work on their demeanor.

You send codes to change passwords that are no good!

My mom passed away a few months prior to this visit. I recieved a Insurance check from her policy with my name on it to cash. The lady would not cash it, she came up with every reason not to cash it. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She was rude and decided to explain to me so all can hear I was embarrassed. I just left...decided to go to another branch, they cashed it within 5 minutes. This branch is conveniently close to me, but I hate going to this branch. They are rude and they find every reason not to help you.

Just went to the branch on Monticello and Veronica, as well as everyone else, was incredibly patient and professional as I was slightly angered by a mishandling of funds at another bank. She was calm the entire time and understanding. They are the best!

On my most recent visit to Williamsburg, VA, NFCU, Maggie Vandall assisted me with proficiency, patience and courtesy! I am always greeted with professionalism and a smile at Navy Federal Credit Union! Thanks guys!

Fast, friendly service. 2 tellers so occasionally a wait but not often. There is an atm that is 24 hrs outside.
