Wells Fargo Bank Donner Pass Rd, Truckee

Banks always get a bad rap but I've been here a few times in the last month to deposit money and get an account set up, and all the staff have been nice and helpful to me and each other.

They are closed during business hours again. They are always understaffed and overworked. Their bankers and tellers are SUPER NICE. I would never work for this location.

24 hr atm is closed outside of bisuness hours

More than 50% of the time I go to this specific Wells Fargo, I spend at least 15min waiting for something very simple. Today was 30min waiting and I had to walk out because I have to keep getting other errands done. The staff have always been nice to me, but why they never have enough tellers to assist the clients in a reasonable amount of time is beyond me. I'm going to the Wells Fargo in Incline from now on.

The wire transfer service has been very good in the past, however apparently there has been a recent change to the Wells Fargo wire transfer system. The experience has been exceptionally bad. Recently I visited the Truckee Wells Fargo branch to make a wire transfer on November 26th, 2013, and despite follow up on my part, the wire transfer has still not hit my account out of country after ten full days. Terrible, and FedEx appears to be a better alternative to transferring money rather then Wells Fargo, and cheaper too. That's my experience most recently attempting to transfer money by wire at my Wells Fargo account, to another account of mine in Canada. Very poor indeed.

I have been going to this branch for almost 12 years. It used to be a good bank. I don’t know what has happened but it is rarely open when I visit now. Even during their stated business hours. If you need a bank with reliable hours and don’t want to show up on a Wednesday afternoon to an 8.5x11 sharpie note saying “Sorry we’re closed today.” taped to the inside of the window; I would choose a different bank.

Closed on random week days all the time with a sign that says “just visit us in incline” as if it’s not an hour away. Worst location I’ve ever dealt with.

I love this bank! The tellers always know my name and all the bankers are professional and friendly. I’ve had several banks but recently consolidated to just Wells Fargo. They are international so I have no issues when I’m on holiday but they feel small town.

This is by far the best bank we've used in our 28-years in business. Not sure what other customers are talking about , hardly EVER wait in line & if so maybe 2-3 minutes tops! I do try & go by 4:45 at the latest M-F. Tellers are always friendly to me & everyone I see before me.

A few staff memebers are kind of rude here. (I'm guessing she was lead of operations) told me I had to be completely outside the bank, and I couldn't wait in the ATM lobby for the bank to open, even though everyone else was allowed to walk in and use the ATM while I waited outside... Also, I needed documentation for proof of residency at the DMV and was told they could not print anything out for me at the front kiosks. Even though when I lost my debit card a week ago, the front kiosks had no problem printing out any and all forms for me to sign. Needless to say I was late to the DMV appointment and had to swindle my proof that I live in Truckee. Just a very difficult and unsatisfactory experience. Hopefully it improves, it being the most accessible and closest bank for me.
