Wane workman was efficient and professional in handling our process. He was very good at handling obstacles, fixing issues and moving the process back on track. He a great communicator and will help you understand anything that might seem confusing. I give him 5 star because he truly is that good!! We went through him twice and would go through him again because of how smooth it went!! Thank you Wane you are amazing at what you do!!

We where just starting the process of looking to purchase a home. We contacted Wane Workman, to talk about purchasing a home. He was so quick with always getting back to us. And made this whole process stress free. He worked with us and always kept us updated on the process. I contacted him to get an approval letter from him and he had it to us in less then 1 hour. I highly recommend Wane Workman.

I bought my first house through them with an FHA loan and that experience was very effortless and fast. I chose to refinance with them 3 years later. The second time dealing with them wasn't as pleasant. I started off with one agent and then ended up dealing with another. I would have liked to have heard,, "Okay, Im Joe and from this point on Jane will be assisting you during this process. I will check in to see how things with Jane are going." Which is what happened but never our right said. There was a lot of lack of communication from their manager and officer who was handling the paperwork. I would speak with one and later had to repeat myself again to the other. Their team didn't communicate and much of my time was spent reiterating myself. I felt inconsequential and forgotten at times during this process. My appraisal should have happened within 48 hours but took a little over a week and had I not asked when it would be I'm sure I woukd have fallen through the cracks. They didn't break down the numbers with me and added in late fees. Had I not asked, I'm sure they wouldn't have bothered to explain. Those late fees didn't even exist which was the ghastly part. One agent would give me one number and the other would give me a completely different one. I came to signing and the numbers they gave me didn't match up with what I was told vs what was on paper. It felt very impersonal. I might as well have digitally filled out a form and uploaded documents for it to populate to calculate everything it would have been faster and accurate. In the end, I did complete the refinance, the checks I received to pay off my cc debt were wrong. I believe only 2 out of the 7 were correct. Most were over the payment due and only 1 was under by $2.94. Which would correspond with the closing amount not matching the numbers I was told vs what was on the paper. I dont have anyone else to compare them with but my only advice is to be diligent and take charge. Make sure you're really paying attention to their numbers. Their staff is pleasant and respectful to work with. I'm neutral. Yes I got a good refinance payment and APR but getting there wasn't the best experience.

I was going through a difficult time during the purchase of my home. The previous mortgage company I was working with failed to contact me, when it seemed as if hope was dwindling, my boyfriend searched for mortgage brokers and said he had read a lot of positive reviews about Mr. Workman. I am so glad that I followed through and contacted Wane. His professionalism, knowledge and customer care exceeded my expectations. Wane was in constant contact with me and went above and beyond to ensure I was able to close on my childhood home. I had no idea that the process would be so quick, my expectations were at least 30 to 90 days to close. I wish I would have found Wane sooner, then I would not have had as much stress. I highly recommend Wane and Academy Mortgage to anyone, you will not be disappointed.
