Walton On The Chattahoochee Akers Mill Rd, Atlanta

Has easily been my favorite place to live in Atlanta. The grounds staff are prompt and friendly, the amenities are phenomenal and well kept, and despite residing near the perimeter it's still has a calm quiet to it lest some agency is blowing leaves and such. The community garden and "firepit" are some of my favorite touches as well as having a coffeehouse on the premise! I recommend this place to anyone I invite over :)

We visited my daughter who lives here and found it to be somewhat of an oasis in the middle of a busy city. The grounds are well kept and aside from the incessant traffic all around it is a peaceful place. The clubhouse is fantastic with a coffee shop and accommodating atmosphere inside and out. I found her apartment to be a bit dated but I know she loves being close to work and able to come home to this almost rural retreat. Situated along the Chattahoochee river it was a great place to relax for a couple of days.

Best place to live. Very close to multiple trails. Has a river side park for evening/weekend picnics/bbq. Has the most scenic coffee shop in ATL. Apartments are a bit older though. Also has 3 tennis courts.

The apartments are set right on the banks of a large beautiful flowing river, the view is like something straight from a painting! It’s so gorgeous here! The property is a well kept, quiet and relaxing paradise! If you love nature its all around you! It feels like a resort for nature lovers here, and I feel right at home!

The leasing office listens to your concerns and takes action quickly for all residents that experience problems. I’ve lived in multiple apartment complexes over the years and Walton has by far the best management. You will meet multiple people in this complex that have been living here for 5+ years- Walton truly cares about their residents.

I have lived here 3 years going on 4 and I brag about this place to everyone. In fact I had two of my friends move here bc I told them how amazing it was. The outdoors areas are amazing, can't beat river access and mtn biking trails across the street.

Great place to live, River view near leasing office made me rent an apt here. Pros : coffee house, river view, garden, walk ways, swings , water fountains, pools. you can move from one Walton to another without breaking lease. Cons : maintenance is not up to the mark. They take ages to fix things.they fix only small issues.

I spent a year looking at apartments before I picked Walton on the Chattahoochee. It one of 27 communities owned and managed by local people, not a private equity or VC firm. I get personal attention and perks I never dreamed to request (organic pick-your-own garden, free book each month, building, landscaped trails in the woods, coffee shop on the premises, grills, hammocks, and swings everywhere). Friendly neighbors, community and nature activities, a dedicated, friendly office and maintenance staff, and unexpected amenities make this the community to pick. The grounds are visually stunning, fragrant, and well-maintained. Service requests are completed within a day. I love being able to walk my dog to the river and then through the trails in the woods. At the river park, there is usually some pick-up game going on, several people working on laptops, while others watch kayakers go down the river. It's a place anyone can find a home.

We have been living here for almost a whole year now, and have had the most pleasant experience. The property is very well maintained, and there are so many bonuses to living here. To name a few, the coffee shop, river front, and garden are our favorites. Such a nice place place to relax after a long day. Our leasing agent, Novia has been pleasant to work with. She's always responsive and understands your needs/expectations. Anytime we've ever had any issues, she's always there to meet your needs. Our family highly recommends Walton on the Hooch!

Taylor and Isaiah are the best!!! They made my move in a great experience. The staff is very friendly and professional and maintenance is very promptly. It’s very peaceful, neighbors was friendly, the river view is amazing and coffee beats Starbucks on any day! It’s a great place to consider to live at.

Nice place for leasing an apartment. Rent is on higher side compared to the other apartments in the vicinity but it is totally worth it. Entire area is very well maintained, there are lot of picnic tables and grill stations installed. Best part is the coffee shop and leasing center. Residents can go there anytime. I used to buy a cup of coffee and sit on the banks on Chattahoochee River with a book in hand every Saturday. Absolutely love this place.

Great place to live. The maintenance team is very responsive. The Amenities are great as well. Nothing like having a river park in your backyard.

I have been living at Walton on the Chattahoochee since may of this year (2021) so about four months, and I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about this place. I looked at several other complexes in the area and I wasn’t even going to tour Walton bc I didn’t think I could afford it but then I toured and fell in love and had my mind set on this place and had the goal in my mind to live here no matter what I had to do. We ended up with a great rate for a two bed two bath and I could not be happier. Living here has helped my mental health so much, it is beautiful and everyone is very very kind. The other complexes in the area had the same rates if not even more expensive and they have close to nothing to offer compared to Walton. I highly recommend requesting Taylor as a leasing consultant if you are in the market. This is my first apartment and she made it so easy to feel comfortable and welcomed. I couldn’t say enough good things about this place just move in!! You will not regret it

Great staff with a family welcoming feel and great location which is the reason I applied to stay hear. Currently waiting on availability however the staff and surrounding area and groups are a wonderful peaceful site to enjoy.

Amazing community to live in! I stayed here about a year before I moved for work and this place is OUTSTANDING!!! The high ratings on here are very accurate. First, it’s a gorgeous gated community with a coffee shop and walking trails within the community and it’s on the river. The leasing office team is so respectful and friendly. Location is phenomenal. Quick access to the interstate, shopping, and againnnn you’re right on the river. Maintenance always delivered quickly. Would definitely live here again!!! Highly recommend.

The Walton on the Chatahoochee is one of the best communities if you enjoy nature and community. People are friendly, the staff is amazing, and you are on the River which is the best place to be in the summer.

This is a wonderful place to live while in an apartment. They are older apartments but are well insulated and right on the river. I love it here.

My experience with Walton has been amazing. I love this complex. They do many community events and have been doing great through 2020 at hosting socially distanced events. The river park amenity is one I will wish I could have forever. The only reason I will not be renewing this time is because I am relocating to another state for work. The staff is friendly and helpful and maintenance is very quick to resolve issues. The dog park crowd is very nice and often will have drink nights at the park while the dogs play. Overall I am so extremely grateful for my time in this complex and highly recommend!!

Walton is an absolutely wonderful place to live. Not only is the Chattahoochee river accessible/part of the property, the view is gorgeous. The property is quiet and peaceful and offers many things other apartments don't like a professionally maintained vegetable garden, walking trails (some near the river), a fishing pond, and an on-site coffee shop. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The location is great; it not far from shops, stores, and event venues.

Great complex if you're single or have no children. No where for kids to play and the apartments are super small and super expensive. I lived there for two years and I wasn't really impressed with the size. $998 for an "efficiency" which is just a smaller studio. It was nice they had little events for residents. Staff was nice and the maintenance was super quick. If prices weren't so jacked up I would have really liked to rent a townhouse. Great apartment seriously if you have the money.

I don't live here, but I just want to say that whoever the woman was that was working in the leasing office on July 9, 2021 around 2pm is a Saint! It was my first time visiting the property because I wanted to access the coffee shop. The gate denied me access because it was already full according to its standards. It was raining cats and dogs this day and she said to me, "Yes it's denying you access because the parking lot is already full, but because its raining I'm going to let you in." I screamed because I was so thankful. It's human beings like her that remind you that there's still good people in the world. Thank you my lady angel in the leasing office. You just don't know how much your kind gesture meant to me.

We've been at the Walton for about 5 months and have only had fantastic experiences with every aspect of the community so far. Highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a place near the battery.
