She went they security type questions with me and set me an email to confirm the transaction and waited on the phone till the dealer was able to complete the deal. Lori at VFCU was AWESOME! The phones were busy so we left a message for a call back. In a couple of hours, we had a call back from Lori. She was courteous, helpful and made us feel like we were her main concern, when it is clear these folks are dealing with A LOT of members right now. I hope everyone who calls in remembers that these folks are doing their very best to get to us quickly and working as hard as they can to accommodate our requests. Kindness works on both sides of the phone and Lori is an example of what we have come to love our Credit Union for. I’d give her 10 stars if it was an option!!

VT Federal Credit Union is the best bank I’ve ever used. They work to make sure your personal needs and goals are met and they are patient beyond belief. After just a year of working with them I was able to completely restore my credit score. Also, the very little fraud I have had on my account over the past 10 years has been dealt with in a timely manner and I’m never out any money. Definitely a bank worth trying out. Lori from customer service absolutely made my day yesterday with her kind and thoughtful feedback, and the loan officer at the St. Albans office is a saint and her professionalism and her patience won’t be forgotten. I was trying to help my sister finance a car with Vermont federal bank as she was a member with them for over couple of years, now residing in Pennsylvania but, still kept her account with Vermont federal credit union because they were a good bank to deal with. She does not know much about financing and I was helping her and her dad was trying to help her and wanted to become a co-signer on the loan because my sister’s credit score was only 618 and my dad’s was 805. I was working with Loan Officer (Justin Holden). I tried to call him couple of days on his work phone but he didn’t pick up (I left a voicemail as well). I called the main line after 2 days of no call back from him. He picked and we went over the loan car and other information (the loan was for 53,000). I sent him the paper he needed from my sister around midnight and next morning at 9:25am he wrote a email to my sister that he sent the paper to underwriter’s and they didn’t approve the loan for her to buy the car. It didn’t make sense how I he would see the paystubs and purchase agreement and other stuff that was sent to work email at midnight for him to send that stuff to the underwriters. I don’t understand how an decision was made that quick. I had a gut feeling that he didn’t trust my sister to pay the monthly payments. Which she would because she has a stable job and income. He sounded disapproving from the beginning. I really had bad experiences with this one. I always praised Vermont federal bank but, now I realize people are prejudice towards others and that just lowers the banks reputation. My family and I have lived in Vermont for over 10 years and gave our services to Vermont federal bank for over many years. Currently not living in Vermont. I told my sister that this was disappointing and she is going to close her account with Vermont federal credit union. We really looked up to the bank but, it’s the employers that make up the reputation of the bank and this time the bank has lost my business because of the employer.

Shauntell was outstanding to work with for my refinance! She was prompt with her responses, incredibly flexible with my requests, and ultimately was able to finalize the entire process within two business days. 10/10 experience thanks to her!

I contacted Vermont Federal for assistance on one of my accounts. Lori, a Member Service Representative, assisted me with my concern. She spent time gathering all the information she needed to complete my request, explained all of the ins and outs of what I should expect with the process, and and answered all of the questions I had. Lori followed up with me at the end of the day to let me know the status of my concern, which she had completed by contacting multiple other departments. Lori isn't the first representative to provide excellent service. Justin, a loan specialist, assisted me with securing an auto loan a little while back. He continued to work diligently to finalize the loan despite special circumstances that arose with the dealership. As a call center Team Leader myself, Lori and Justin's professionalism and dedication to customer service exceeds expectations. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rank each of these representatives as a 20! Thank you Lori, Justin, and Vermont Federal for the years of continued service!

most online banking tools look straight out of the 90s, but vfcu's webapp has so many nifty little graphing tools with very user friendly interfaces that allow you to overview your yearly income/spending and make accurate projections quickly idk who theyre getting their tools from or if theyre making them in house, but kudos to the devs
