Vanderbilt Mortgage has been the absolute best and fastest service I have ever witnessed. As a retired military person who has traveled the world and applied for well over 12 Mortgage loans, Vanderbilt sticks out as the best of all of them so far. They have 100% integrity and follow up with everything in writing to back up their quotes! I really wish I was able to use them for all of my prior loans, it would have been a lot less stressful! Their employees know the business well and have excellent people skills! My experience with Vanderbilt by far has exceeded my expectations.

These last 4 years have been wonderful with Vanderbilt Mortgage. I love my home and the mortgage option. The customer service is A1! As someone with past credit issues, I was surprised when Vanderbilt approved my loan application. They were thorough and upfront with what was expected of me and the process was very painless. Has been complete hell dealing with these people. If you live in pa and are assigned to Amy then you might as well go through someone else! Every step has been something wrong.. not anything on our part all coming from Vanderbilt. Doesn’t seem to really know what they are doing and completely screwed us over and ended up costing us a lot more money. Our realtor and sellers realtor will be steering all their clients away from Vanderbilt.

We used Vanderbilt mortgage through the home center we purchased our house from. The experience was just terrible for us. There was so much miscommunication. Our numbers were ALWAYS wrong and i had to correct their mistakes many many times. No one really kept us in the loop unless i called or emailed like crazy. Do to a career down stage my income dropped tremendously. I first avoided Vanderbilt until they sent someone to my home to get in contact with me. I spoke with a Mr. Money who not only help me assets my current situation, but went over and beyond to find payment options to help me get on track, also impove my credit score. I am still 2 payments behind at this time, and Mr. Money continues to work with me and communicate with me to get on track and still survive. Vanderbilt didn’t make me feel bullied or less of a person for falling behind, but I felt supported and confident in building a relationship with them.

Unfortunately our experience has not been that great with Vanderbilt. There customer service representatives need to learn some type of etiquette when dealing with customers. The billing department is the lowest of all, we have resorted to sending each mortgage payment by certified mail monthly now. Do to receiving not so nice phone calls with unbecoming tones and personal threats. For example, we have sent in mortgage payments days before the due date with signatures of delivery receipts. However, received multiple phone calls for non payment but was in the office on someone's desk. I will be so elated when the loan is paid.

I have issue with my online account for the last two months where it was blocking me from making payments. I called in the first month and was blocked from the free automatic payment system as well and was transferred to a representatives. Well she could not provide me with any information and did not seem to care the only option she gave me was to make the payment with her which added an additional fee, Well the next month rolled around and the same probably so when I called into today I got a representatives name Eric. Eric automatically dug deeper and escalated my issue to a different department to remove the block when finding out I was not able to make the payment using the free automatic phone system. Eric looked into and seen that I had two different security pin setup and once he deleted the invalid pin it remove the block from the automatic service and the web online. Problem solved, Thank you Eric for not just writing it off and taking the time to make sure I am able to continue to make my payment online as usual. Eric was very helpful, kind, and patient.

If you're having trouble and you get behind on your mortgage, answer that phone call and these good folks will work with you. Just give them the chance. I spoke to Mr. Money (yes, that is his real name..lol) and he was very helpful, understanding and kind. I wish I had talked to him sooner. He helped me work through my situation and come up with a workable plan. I know that sometimes you might not know what to say, but if you will communicate with them they will work with you. If I had answered that phone call sooner, it would've alleviated a lot of worry on my part.

The agents I worked with were nice but their timing was slow. I would email them documents and it would take 2 to 3 weeks before they let me know the documents weren't readable. It's June and we have been dealing with them since March. Hopefully they do better in the future.

Worst mortgage company I’ve ever experienced! They screwed up the final paperwork for my closing. Failed to send funds for the closing. Now I learn they haven’t paid my property taxes. Customer Service disconnects calls. Didn’t have state property tax IDs on file. It’s unfortunate for me and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. Beware and find another company!

I've read alot of reviews for VMF and I uave to chime in. From before I was approved for my hone this company went out of their way to help me get this done. And, it hasn't stopped there, I've been in my new home over a year and they are still going above and beyond especially when I got sick and couldn't work, they worked with me on my payments til I got back on my feet, especially Lisa Meade. When I got behind on my mortgage for because I was out for surgery, they did everything they could to work with me. They have programs to help if you can’t afford to pay your mortgage you just need to be communicating with them. The people that called to talk to me or always friendly.

A gentleman called me this morning to discuss their options about offering me a mortgage. He was very dry, borderline rude. Half of what I said to him he never even acknowledged! Not very likely I would ever use them in the future...to make one feel as if you are working for them, and not them working for you, is not the type of feeling you want to have from a lender.

Terrible customer service, the worst lending company I have ever dealt with. Basically zero contact, had to constantly call just to find out what information/documentation was needed for the process. After 1 month, I’ve still not been able to speak to our our “Loan Officer” (Josh), after 3 weeks of waiting for my employment verification, they had not requested any information because they did not have any information to check with, never once inquired about further information even though they had received current check stubs. Overall a terrible experience and will not start this process with them ever again. I highly suggest looking locally rather than using this company.

These are the greediest untrustworthy "people" you will ever deal with. Tom Green approved my loan with $6700 down and it took over 120 days to find land and a house so they reran my credit coming back and telling me I had to give $15000 down because he said my credit was worse. They would not issue a letter to the seller so I could get my earnest money back. Tom Greene reported it was my fault I could not give them double the money down. Interestingly enough I was approved through a reputable bank and told my credit was excellent.

I have difficulty believing the positive reviews. How would a bank with predatory loans get a 4.6 rating? They never answer phone calls, are incredibly rude when you do manage to get in contact with them, and are very predatory with their loans. They even sent us a secondary contract to sign after approving our loan. A secondary contract that had the sole purpose of making it impossible to pay off the loan early or accept payments early. The only way for us to avoid paying the insane interest rates is to simply transfer the loan balance to a different company. They don't even have it listed as a mortgage, likely so as to avoid mortgage laws, despite the fact it is on a residence.

When we decided to buy a home, we had the choice of a "stick-built" or manufactured. My husband and I were already in our late 50's and the idea of having a large note and paying it out for probably 30 years wasn't appealing for obvious reasons. So we chose Clayton/Vanderbilt because the contract was only for 10 years and our money wouldn't be tied up in a large monthly note. Also, we have been so pleased with the quality of the customer service reps over the years, especially recently. Not only were the people who initially answer the phones SO pleasant and VERY helpful, but Drew set the perfect example of how a supervisor should be - he took a personal interest in us and helped us in every way possible. Always warm and friendly - VERY personable, so easy to talk to, and knowledgeable of company procedures. Thank you Vanderbilt for 10 wonderful years -ourr house is paid for now, but we will miss everyone!

This place is terrible. We decided to purchase a 2017 home; we began this in 2019. Remember 2019. We didn't close on this until THIS December (2021). We had to apply a total of four (4) times. The first girl was absolutely terrible; she wouldn't give us a call or an e-mail back. After talking to almost every person at vanderbilt and re applying two (2) more times and speaking with her direct supervisor twice, we were finally switched to another person. After hearing every lie in the book and them putting the blame on us, we finally talked to someone who had some sense. Don't get me wrong, it still took A LOT longer than it should've; we had to do another application under this guy. However, he turned out to be a lot better than the girl we had, although it was a slow process still; he did get us closed. Overall, they lack communication skills and drag their feet more than anyone or thing I've ever seen/met. If you have the option to go somewhere else, please do. Save yourself the headache and stress. If you do have to use them ask for Eric. Eric is the ONLY reason we closed finally.

I recently purchased a home with Vanderbilt as my lender. The experience with Vanderbilt was the easiest part. Someone was always there to answer my questions (even when they were small questions) with no hesitation, everyone was friendly and never made me feel as though I was asking a stupid question. I was able to do most everything through email which makes things so much easier when working full time, being a single parent and trying to purchase a home. Watch your money- VMF is unorganized & dishonest. At a re-fi with Vanderbilt, they mishandled the payoff amount and instead of contacting the mortgage broker about their mistake, they just kept the loan open, and paid my property taxes, even though I had already refinanced and I had a completely new loan. They then sold the "loan" (that had already been refinanced elsewhere) to Mr. Cooper. Now I'm getting bills for the property taxes -which had also been paid at the re-fi closing- from another mortgage company and Vanderbilt will not take responsibility for their mistake. They are making millions of dollars and causing financial hardship and stress to their customers. Beware and go elsewhere for a mortgage if you can.

The person my wife spoke with made an assumption that we failed to communicate when In fact it was the place we bought home that failed communication. THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY! Application process will take months. They lie and tell you 30-45 days! They take your money and then just stop communicating. You have to call and call to get any progress and even when you go to “closing” there will be so many mistakes on there end everything has to be redone so you get to start over. Meanwhile they take your money and keep making make up lies. Amy is by far the worst person I’ve ever had to deal with for any purchases I’ve made in my life. She is lazy it takes a week for her to respond to any correspondence and the lies just keep coming! The company can’t seem to understand why people may be frustrated because their constant lies and inconsistencies and refuse to do anything to help the process. They blamed training virtually on what’s wrong because it’s so new to them. Stop telling me lies then and just admit the application will take months because you don’t know what you’re doing so I could have chooses a company who did! Avoid this company if you can you will refusing them!

IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO I WOULD!!! We were basically forced to use Vanderbilt when purchasing our mobile home through Clayton. We was told they was the only one to finance us & we weren’t provided with information of who the “Other Two Banks” that supposedly declined us were. My husband who is a veteran was told that he couldn’t use his Veterans Home Loan to purchase the home. I later found out that was a lie!!! From the beginning our mobile home wasn’t built right. Appliances weren’t installed correctly & the home begin to fall apart. We’ve had it for only 2 in a half years. I called & a few inspectors were called out but nothing was done! Everyone in the world know that Covid has taken a toll on a lot of businesses including myself as well as my husband. We’re 2 months behind but the Supervisor & another Vanderbilt employee ( I wish I knew his name) was very rude & inconsiderate!! They didn’t care that our business took a hit nor did they care that I had a major surgery done that I had severe complications with that reduced my working hours. They went as far as telling my husband to ask family members for the money & call back Monday! They even was yelling which led to a yelling match!!! I couldn’t wrap my mind around how rude & inconsiderate they were!! As a stylist my pay come from my clients. But with covid & me having to cut down my hours to keep from over working myself from my surgery. Things have gotten so hard. The supervisor which was a female name Monica or Mary ( unsure of which one) told me that I should get another job!!! This made me livid. She told me we didn’t apply for the Forbearance because we didn’t live in government housing. & refused to assist me with an explanation as to why we didn’t apply for the covid payment relief. I have NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE had someone or a business personnel tell me such a thing. I hate that we ever agreed to working with this company. Even though, yes I had my doubts especially when we was told they was the only one to accept us. I do not recommend ANYONE to these inconsiderate & very unprofessional waste of a human people! We will be refinancing through someone else!!

My first point of contact was Micha. He was absolutely kind and patient. I was panicking about being able to make my full mortgage payment today. He transferred me and assured me that all would be OK. I spoke with Jaime and she was totally awesome. We took down some information and she agreed to my suggestion of splitting my mortgage payment up due to loss of weekly wages. During the conversation she kept telling me that it was doable and thanked me for be proactive. She even told me she wished she could clone me!!! I felt her smile and warm sincerity as we talked. I will give Vanderbilt a review but it may not be to their liking. I think there were too many people in our loan and not everyone was on the same page. We were drug around so much with them kinda beating around the bush on things for us to do to get the loan processed. We are very blessed though that the loan finally got approved and completed. We can finally get our home and be happy, so hats off to everyone at Vanderbilt!!!!!!

Dealing with the Longview office was not a great experience. The tyler office after we transferred our business was a little better. Customer service doesn’t mean anything to the Longview office and when dealing with potential customers who are looking to invest their money jokes should not be made and the process should not be slowed because they get called out. Professionalism should be better. Dealing with the actual lending company Vanderbilt was pleasant and easy. 7/10/21- just got off the phone with the salesman and her boss grab the phone and proceeded to get an attitude with a simple question of when the house would be delivered. It was not appreciated and I called him out on it. Customer service seems to be a problem with both tyler and Longview. If someone is going to spend over 90,000 on a manufactured house and a simple question is asked then no attitudes should given. Especially when I don’t have an attitude. We have been trying to get this house since April but now it seems to be a regret.

Was purchasing a foreclosed home from them in SC. Spoke with them several times a week to check progress as they had contractor working on the place. after a couple months I was told I could finally go see it. They were aware from the beginning that I am in a wheelchair and looking to move in asap due to cost of motel. I was to have to paint one room and put flooring down myself. rest of house was alright. inside doors were measured supposedly.. long winding driveway had been graded... every single thing was untrue. driveway was not graded and very dangerous, doorways were not wide enough, entire inside of house was only plywood for floors, every wall inside house was rotted at the bottom, floor joists were giving way underneath me, and the "handicap ramp" was at such a steep angle, wheelchair could not be controlled exiting house. it ran me into rail, hurting my ribs, turned me sideways then at end of ramp was throwing me out of my chair. I filed report with Better Business Bureau. A man called me from Vanderbilt apologizing. They couldn't replace money I had spent on motel while waiting on house. They said it was being advertised as is. First of all on their ad it was not. they did tell me as is, but there was only to be one room that needed work. Nothing told to me over the months was the truth. The only thing offered to me was for them to look for another home for me to buy. I explained I would no longer trust their company after that terrifying experience. Luckily people went with me as no one from Vanderbilt or their contractor was there to meet me. Was given combination to see house on my own. I am writing this review so that others can be aware if they are planning to have any dealings with this company, in hopes no one else gets lied to or injured. Thank you

VMF has been nothing short of wonderful for my family and I so far. I was initially approved almost 2 years ago, but decided to wait. I came back to them again this Summer when I purchased my home. Laura Tinney was just perfect for us! She was so nice! No matter how many times I called her with crazy questions, she was always happy to help me. She ALWAYS called me back the same day if I had left a message for her. Vanderbilt really made my home purchase experience amazing. I was able to go online and pre-qualify. They are so helpful from the very beginning, letting you know what to expect at different stages of the loan process. This was very helpful because it made everything get completed timely and I wasn't stressed or overwhelmed at all. That absolutely WAS NOT the case today. Juana was very professional, kind, understanding and most importantly resolution focused. She didn't just want to be a voice on the other end of the line, Juana offered real solutions to our problems, explained different policies regarding our payment options and stayed focused on making sure that we, as consumers and clients, were happy. Sooo we put in an application for mobile home financing, we have some acreage in the country but didn’t want to put the entire farm on the application We put our application in April and now it’s Sept. We are just now finding out through Clayton mobile homes that we will have to put up our entire farm for financing. When I have called Vanderbuilt they say it’s two acres. Pardon my language but this has been a total mind f@ck….no communication through Vanderbilt and Claytons rep.Anyway long story short we are getting better financing through a construction loan. I have been bullied by customer service representatives, who were Constantly hounding me. Always trying to make me feel insecure about my investment. I have waited until my loan was paid in full and with title in hand, free and clear from Vanderbilt's grip to write this review, I have been waiting 20 years to say my piece. If you are looking for a good company to finance your home with than Vanderbilt is NOT the company for you.. they are crooked and given the chance they will cheat you if possible. Other people who I know also financed with them and they too are very dissatisfied with the service received from this company. If you don't mind being degraded and treat as if you are insignificant than this is your company. Fair Warning tho, years upon years of being talked down too and your loyalty for your business will NOT amount for anything in the end. Please heed this warning: do some research and check out all your options before getting a loan with Vanderbilt mortgage .. this company is large enough to NOT care about the little guy, who sacrifices each month to make that important payment will NOT matter to them. The process of getting a loan here is a little backwards. I'm getting a home through Clayton Homes and they said we will be going through Vanderbilt. They sent over basic information to request a loan. (name, DL, Social, etc.) I got a call from Randy there at Vanderbilt, saying that I was approved for full amount of home with $0 down. I thought, YAY! ok, thank you. Thought the next step was to sign and get the ball rolling. Side Note: I'm on a little bit of a time crunch. I am currently in a rental house and my lease is up in June, at this time, it is April. So, in my mind, plenty of time to get home moved in, built, my family and I moved in and I don't have to pay June rent AND my first land payment, as they start on June 1st. Keep in mind, Randy is aware of this.) So, after he calls and tells me the good news, I am now on the phone with Clayton Homes asking what is next, do I need to come sign, etc. etc. I'm getting excited at this point too. This is where it took a turn. Now, Randy at Vanderbilt is wanting my work information, tax returns, etc. I'm confused as to why they need this when they already told me that I was approved for full amount...??? so I give everything and 2 weeks later, they call saying that I'm only approved for 86K. I'm so confused as to what just happen. So, I get on the phone Clayton and ask for turn key pricing of the home I want. Trying to see if I have the extra cash to put down to meet the 86K I am now approved for. My sales rep was a little confused as to why I was trying to get to 86K. After talking back and forth, she then told me that Randy at Vanderbilt told her that I was approved for 70K. I was LIVID at this point. I had just got off the phone with Randy within the past hour and he NEVER ONCE mentioned the number 70 in our conversation. My sales rep then told me that she would have him call me. When he did, I was frustrated. I asked him how much would I need to put down to cover the gap. he said 40K something. I asked how?! 86K to the total price of home is only 20K something. He THEN told me 70K was the "loan amount". I was furious. I did raise my voice a bit and asked him "Then why did you tell me that I was approved for 86K and that was the best you do?!" he then told me that was including the 16K I was planning on putting down. I then said back "Then don't tell me that I'm 'approved' for 86K when its really 70K!!" This was a huge waist of my time and a HUGE difference from being approved for full amount, then to 86K when in reality...it's 70K! I feel like there NEVER should have been the initial phone call stating that I was 'approved' when he didn't even run ALL of my information yet. That right there set me back 2 weeks!! So now, I have to figure out how to come up with 40K something to cover that gap. I ended up getting a co-signer. Yet again, Randy called and told us that we were approved for full amount with nothing down BEFORE running all of my co-signer's information. Set back of another week. Total set back of 3 weeks with Randy and him calling saying that I was approved before running full information. With the current weather situation (of course weather being unpredictable) but it doing what it is doing right now, we are ready for house to be delivered but it has been raining for a week. I truly feel that if Randy would NOT have waisted that time, I would already have a house on property at this point. Moral of the story is.....DO NOT CALL WITH APPROVAL PRIOR TO RUNNING THE CUSTOMER'S INFORMATION....ALL INFORMATION!!

We've been customers at Vanderbilt for a few years now and never really had any trouble. We recently needed some extra assistance and our account representative Leah Smith was absolutely wonderful. She helped us in any way that she could, she even did extra just to help us. We enjoyed working with her so much. She treated us as actual people and not just another customer. She never made us feel like a bother, no matter how many times we called or how many questions we had. I'm so glad it was her that we were able to work with.

They are very picky, which is ok but the attitude from la’tisha a loan person is unbelievable.. she always calls me with an attitude and today just was enough, she had the audacity to act like my quotes for the house was just a piece of trash “your little quotes you sent it, wont work and have you turned your 500 dollars in yet” what?… little? And no ma’am I haven’t I’m waiting to make sure everything is good. Tomorrow I’ll be calling and asking for a new loan person!

I have had my mortgage for almost 2 years so my review will be short and sweet. First time home owner excited to sign for the house didn't realize how much my interest rate was (11.6%) I have thought of doing a refinance but idk. In my contract it states "any thing that breaks or stops working they will send someone out to fix it" this doesn't expire til the home is paid off. The person incharge of my account tried to tell me that they wasn't responsible then I mentioned that in the contract it states what I said above. 3 days later they sent someone out to fix it. I'm hoping to have my home paid off this time next year so I can buy another home. But all in all 3 out of 5. Make sure yall pay attention to the interest rates.

I was reluctant to call about my loan, as my husband was let go of his job several weeks ago, unable to get employment, and no unemployment benefits coming in. I had an issue come up where I was needing some help in working out my upcoming payment and i was assisted by Mike Dunn with Vanderbilt Mike was very understanding of my predicament and walked me thru each detail of the process, making sure that I understood all aspects of what was happening and what I was requesting and was able to take a huge financial worry off my plate. A very caring company . We suffered a heartbreaking loss and the unexpected drain on our finances lasted for months. As soon as our representative Lauren found out what was going on, she did everything she could to help ease our burden, in a thoughtful, compassionate way. We had a very poor experience with this company. I wouldn't say it's the company as a whole, but our loan officer was the worst. It took us 45 days to close! We felt like she would glance at our documents once a week, and throw something at us, and then we wouldn't hear from her for weeks. We had to keep getting other people involved because she was not communicating with us. She kept asking us for the same things over and over, even though we had already sent them. We just did not get the attention that we needed. We came in contact with another loan officer, and the closer, and they were both great. We just got a bad apple I guess. Lucky us!

At first my experience with Vanderbilt wasn't a good one. I was not getting updates the way that I should have. Long periods of time would pass and I did not hear about what was going on or next steps. I called a few times and sort of complained about that. Then I was connected with a gentleman named Barret Kelly. He was the total opposite. He was responsive and made sure to let me know of any updates along the way. If there was an issue he would work with me until that issue was taken care of. I have to say I was extremely pleased with Barret. If it wasn't for my initial experience I would have given Vanderbilt 5 stars instead of four.

We tried to work with Vanderbilt Mortgage to purchase my disabled mother a trailer from Clayton homes after my father passed. I was told by Patrick if I cut out a piece of our land I wouldn’t have to have a down payment. I paid $2000 for a land survey and they still demanded $2000 more. Tara our loan specialist never reached out to us, never explained the process of how land for collateral worked. After 40 days with the title company they called and asked for a partial release of land from our mortgage. I called my mortgage provider and they explained that we would owe them thousands. They said Vanderbilt should have explained this to us. Now I’m out $3500 and my mother still doesn’t have a home. Tara was one of the rudest people I have ever met and I told her so which is likely why she didn’t explain the entire process to me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Been with this company for 10 years now and haven't been late on a payment in years. Called and asked if we could push one payment back. There process gives them up to 45 days to make a decision. They recommend you keep paying the bill until a decision is made, we did. The decision was no! Worthless company. I can't wait until they are paid off. I spoke with Robin with Vanderbilt about my mortgage. She was very understand and helpful. She gave us several different phone numbers or websites that can/might help. I did apply for the Arkansas Homeowners Assistance Fund for my mortgage payments and got information for assistance with my utility bill. She was great that this was awesome information!! I called and explained my mothers situation and need, telling the loan officer I don’t want to waste her time or mine. She assured me it would not be any issue. A month later and countless hours of providing requested info we were given unrealistic loan options that my mother on a fixed income could not provide. She would tell me what terms would be then when letter came out terms were different and unrealistic, huge waste of time and told a lot of untrue information wasting my time. Would not recommend.

We are first time home buyers and we just signed the closing paperwork yesterday for our brand new home. We had actually started looking for our home and financing with a different company and our different experiences between the two are crazy! Vanderbilt is AMAZING and their customer service greatly exceeds any we have had in a very very long time! We were on the very lowest end of the credit range which worried us so much but they quickly put our minds at ease and explained EVERYTHING. We really appreciated that because we definitely wanted to be really involved from the start. With the company we started with which was NOT Vanderbilt, we were on month 4 and still at the very beginning of the process and told not to hold our breath. I decided to do some more research and came across Vanderbilt. I decided it couldn’t hurt to apply. We quick found out we were approved and we were excited and decided to explore that option because Vanderbilt was offering much better terms for our financial situation. I tell the company that we had been working with for 4 months that we were able to get financed with Vanderbilt and we wanted to use them. After a bit we find out that they can’t use Vanderbilt but luckily she had a personal contact that happened to be Austin Jumper. Two weeks. From start to finish Austin had us closed in probably less than two weeks. We expect our brand new, fresh from the factory, home to be delivered this following Friday! Our experience with Vanderbilt was beyond amazing, it’s definitely worth repeating! We would HIGHLY recommend this company!

I just want to thank a wonderful woman that works here. Ms Missy… I was 149.00 short on my house payment in June 2021. I had an emergency that had to be handled. I was trying to get the money together but it was hard. No one has anything extra in this day and age I tried to borrow the funds no one could help I was going to sell some of my personal things and then I received a call from Ma Missy I missed the call but returned the call within minutes. We talked I explained the situation I told her I would pay that Friday and the following Friday to get it paid. As we talked she asked me if there was anything she could do to help me pay the rest of it??? I paused for a moment and asked her what could you possibly do to help she explained that there were actually programs there and $149 was a little more than they usually pay but she would talk with her manager I couldn’t believe it I really thought to myself this is impossible company would use their own money to pay off $149 I owe to my mortgage??? Really she told me to call back in a few hours, I shared her I would. But before the two hours were up she called me back and said they had approved it and that my next payment would be due in July 2021. So if you do need a little help please don’t hesitate to call them and ask them I know that they can probably help you. Worst Experience in my twenty year career in Real Estate. The loan department is not organized, not very good at communication and can not make required deadlines. Their vendor relations process is also horribly slow and burdensome. I will never deal or allow any of my customers to deal with them again. Save yourself some time and chose a different lender. My husband and I bought our lot last year March 2020 and we were getting denied, the run around, just a headache from different banks. We have stayed in apartments were the rent was $1500, $1200, $1,100 and they were very nice upscale apartments ( The Village of Dallas, Trails of White Rock). We have this loan due to financing a new air conditioning unit. I’ve had trouble paying my bill almost the entire time we’ve had the loan (about 4 month) due to the miscommunication about the routing number they needed from my bank. I’ve also never paid a bill using an account and routing number, and never accepting a debit card. Well, they have now locked my account to where I have to use a money center to send a payment, basically putting me in a bind to make it almost impossible for me to immediately send a payment. I’m getting charged all sorts of late fees, they aren’t even trying to work with me on this. Most of the time if someone wants a payment they will accept all forms, but no this place does not. So now I’m 30 days behind after I just sent a payment supposedly “same day” through a money center (what the manager told me to do to get it to them the fastest) 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve never been late or missed a payment with any of my other bills. They should be more considerate, and should update the whole process of payment. They kept blaming it on my bank, when it was their fault for not stating they needed a ACH routing number, and not the routing number you would usually use.

I can't seem to get anyone to call me back so it is incredibly frustrating. After having purchased my home through Vanderbilt and sold my home to another customer for your and she financed it through you after talking her into buying from it you and that was not a good experience at all and now waiting on the remaining checks to come in has been a month wait so far. When I call I am told I will get a call back and it doesn't happen. I have had one person to call me back and leave me his direct number so I have a contact person. Billy Anderson is the only one who has been kind enough to help me with trying to get to the right person. This has been an exhausting and horrible experience. It's a 45 minute call when i call in every time because I am switched from department to department and no one has my information. Had I ever missed a payment you would blow my phone up for the payment, now I am asking out of consideration to get my money owed to me back to me and the consideration of a phone call. This has been going on since the original bill of sale was started in August. I am not happy and will not recommend anyone to establishment, as a matter of fact, run the other way. If your buying something from Vanderbilt they are all in, but if they owe you money, no one knows anything.

I hope not one more person has to deal with what has transpired since the day I purchased my mobile home until the present. I purchased my mobile home in December 2020 and to this day August 13 of 2021 the Firemarshal hasn’t bought off any of the work that was deemed unsafe and now Vanderbilt Mortgage has refused to try to help. They have made marks against my credit when my home is still waiting for the final inspection hopefully,,, and have yet to see the skirting that was included in my purchase and instead of trying to make things right and make sure that the Firemarshal says my home is safe to live in and the mobile home company finishes delivering what I paid for Brittany Ford and Rob Morris thinks that I should be paying for a home that has had major structural problems and still has not been approved by the State Firemarshal… I will never use or suggest anyone else use Vanderbilt Mortgage

We was pre-approved not once but twice they requested 900 dollars be sent to them money wire to get an appraisal done ordered the appraisal then turned around to tell us they couldn't approve us due to low income. Never have I been denied for low income before. And never have I got 2 pre approvals and them take 900 dollars from me just to tell me they can't do anything for us while we are under contract on a house. So I lost 900 dollars and my 500 for the contract on the home worst experience ever heard of evn our realtor has never heard of a company doing this

My wife called our VMF to see if we qualified for the Covid19 help program, while talking to the man about it she told him that I had lost a months work do to covid19 shutting us down and that the following month she had to have cervical surgery and was out of work for two and a half months and we were just staying afloat barely but instead of going through with the covid program could we just set up a payment so we could catch our breaths, we are both back to work now and by next month we should be back on track. The man on the phone said let me see if I can get a manager to talk to you, well he came back and said everyone had left for the holiday weekend (Labor Day) so we figured we would just pay our house payment and figure the rest out, when the man on the phone said hold on I just had a manager reach out to me and within about five minutes we were approved for the extension. We actually were flood victims in 2016. We were pre approved at Clayton homes through Vanderbilt mortgage. They are always so nice and caring as long as you talk to them. Last week my fiance who is also on the loan was in a bad car accident. I talked to Vanderbilt and told them we would be late on our payment and they were actually able to help with getting us an extension. Such an easy process. My loan manager Andrea called me again last night and went over the details, she called again this morning and went over everything in case we had any questions. She really does an awesome job and their customer service is awesome too. Thank you for making one thing less stressful for understanding during this time. Thank you! Also I would like to say if you are considering a mortgage I would definitely check them out. The process was pretty fast too end of June is when we applied and picked our home and we were moved in by the end of August.

She was Just as good but i only needed a service done over the phone, but if i was starting a new business. id like to have these ladies run my customer service. They are not the bad guys, just talk to them they will work with you. My representative account manager is Brooke Maples and she is amazing to talk with and help you. This is not my first mortgage experience but it is by far the easiest as far as the Vanderbilt staff is concerned. They were thorough and courteous every step of the way making sure that all the paperwork and information gathering went a smoothly as possible. It has been almost TWO WEEKS and they still HAVE NOT funded the loan!!! Extremely slow to process a simple mobile home loan. Lender did not hit our deadlines and went past the closing date. Representatives, never provided closing statement, and we were passed along to many different people during the purchasing process. Would not recommend using them EVER!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Vanderbilt. My wife and I purchased our trailer about a year ago and after only about two months of having the loan, we started to experience financial hardship and started to fall behind on our payments. We have been behind on our payments ever since. At one point, they had to start legal proceedings for repossession because we were so far behind. But because they are so compassionate and understanding, they gave us every chance they could so we could keep our home. We caught the payments up and were finally current but of course, hardship struck again. I was so afraid to call and talk to them because I feared the worse. I mean.... Just 3 months ago we were about to lose our trailer. Yesterday I received a phone call from Emily and she was very empathetic to my situation and completely shocked me when she said she could work out a payment plan that we could afford so that we didn't lose our home. I thought for sure they would be done with us. I would totally recommend Vanderbilt to anyone. They are a mortgage company that remembers that their customers are human and they treat us like humans.

After selling my home and having a wire sent to Vanderbilt, they have not been able to apply the wire to my account. Seven days have passed and they are unable to tell me when the wire will hit or when I will be refunded money. VMF is the definition of incompetence.
