Because of bad credit and high prices I was returned down by several dealerships, no one would give me what I wanted for my vehicle. The sales process was a great experience and they were one of two dealers that allowed me to keep driving my truck while waiting for the special order to arrive. The prep of the new truck has to be one of the worst I have seen. They had the truck 1.5 weeks so wasn’t a rush job but sure looks like it.

There really is only one salesman there that I like that seems to go out of his way but when it comes to the car lot slim Pickens.

I called Jason in parts to inquire about a 4wd solenoid. While he was looking it up he reminded to verify the check valve was operating properly as well. He knew from personal experience to suggest that. Low and behold my solenoid was fine and it was a check valve causing my problem. $10 instead of a lot more. On top of that I'm on the road headed to deer camp. Grinding 4wd actuators is a really bad thing. No more grinding. I called in and spoke to Eric (management) to let him know how pleased I was. People are more inclined to complain rather than give praise. My truck is a 2010. Before too long I'll be looking to buy again. If their sales team is on the same level as Jason and Eric, Van Horn is getting the sale. Thank you Van Horn team!

Fred sold me my replacement vehicle. Overall a good experience. Repairs for existing cosmetic damage is scheduled at no cost to me and they ordered a front license plate mount as the vehicle is without one currently. Communication after the purchase has been prompt and clear. Fred answered all of my questions honestly and clearly and respected my decisions on payment options. Car shopping can often be stressful, and Fred did well at minimizing that stress.

My husband and I had an appointment to test drive an Explorer. We walked in at our appt time and left 3 hours later with a new Explorer. I'm an out of stater and have been looking for a new to me truck. I found one I liked at this Vanhorn Ford. I called and spoke with there salesman Fred. After a day of working out the details, shipping, and the price we agreed on a deal that work for us all. The next morning Fred texts me and tells me somehow he messed up the stock numbers even though we talked about the trucks specifically. So the price we agreed on was not going to work. Mistakes happen I get that, but he refused to budge on the price. We were 5k apart I offered to split the difference even though it was not my mistake. Mind you we are talking about a 43k price tag.They refused to even attempt to make it right. Fair is fair they made the mistake. I'm taking my business else where. I'd stay clear of this lot the salesman had a ton of attitude towards me. I didn't make the mistake . He did.

We were shopping for a new F150 and decided to visit Van Horn Ford in Lomira. This was our first visit to any Van Horn location. We had done quite a bit of internet searching before our visit and knew what we were looking for and had already compared prices across various dealers. Van Horn had the truck we wanted and at the best price, so it was potentially a pretty easy sale. Nevertheless, our salesman (Trevor) was exceptionally helpful and gracious with his time. Also had remote seat problem they had to trouble shoot. Part ordered for install when it comes in. The mechanicet et me know my battery was on hhe border of olding charge. It was old and did been replacing especially with the cold weather upon us.. All were very polite and knowledgeable. Highly recommend using the service department.

Horrible! Unorganized! Traveled from Wisconsin to Lomira and they didn't even have the car there! No keys. I drove over 2 hours. Beware of this place

I bought my truck from Nate. He was very personable and made the whole experience easy and relaxed. Lomira is a bit out of the way for me, but I will definitely strongly consider returning for a future vehicle when that time comes.

Fred Toth the sales man was terrific. I walked through the door knowing what I was looking for, but not planning on making a purchase. More to compare the price that I had received from a competitor. The no pressure approach, and his understanding why I was there, made me feel comfortable. We looked at the model I chose and he was able to beat the price I had by enough to change my mind. I was having trouble with my Ford Explorer a week prior to visiting Van Horn in Lomira. I originally took it in to Bergstrom in Oshkosh, was charged a hefty bill, and was told "we didn't find anything", even though I my car had lights going on and off and had completely stalled in the middle of an intersection days prior. I was told it was safe to drive. A few days after that, the same thing happened on the interstate, luckily less than a mile from Van Horn in Lomira. The service center was closed that day (Saturday), but Ryan went above and beyond to check in the back to see if anyone happened to be there. Luckily Robert was there on his day off and agreed to take a look at my car. He ended up finding multiple codes relating to my transmission. They were able to quickly take my information, get my car in a safe place, and get my a loaner car so I could safely get back on the road to Chicago. 10 days later, they drove my car back to Oshkosh for me and I've had no issues since. It was my first time purchasing a car (besides beaters) and he made the process so easy. I have only had one minor issue with the car since I've bought it, and they fixed it by the next day. We had spoken with Trevor on the telephone to arrange looking at a couple trucks prior to the three hour drive to the dealership. Trevor was able to arrange for a truck from one of their dealerships to be in Lorima so we could test drive it. This is going to be lengthy, so buckle in! I want to give Van Horn a thorough review as they gave me a thorough and timely experience! I put in an inquiry through cars.com just simply asking what class of towing the Ford Explorer I was curious about was equipped with. In this inquiry I put my preferred method of contact was phone. Now mind you, this was probably my 10th dealership inquiry. Out of ALL the dealerships I inquired with, Van Horn was one of two to pick up the phone and call me as preferred not text me or send me 30 emails. I spoke with Tony in their online department, he was polite and prepared with the answer to my question from my inquiry. I let Tony know I was just shopping around and was waiting to hear more back on financing, Tony was understanding and let me know they could help with financing and to reach back out if I had anymore question. About a half hour went by and my credit union who I’ve had several car loans with informed me that they would not be able approve me for the amount I was looking for based on the bankruptcy I had on my credit report. After receiving that call I reviewed Van Horns website and google reviews to see if maybe they would be able help me with my credit situation and get me in to the vehicle I wanted. Honestly, I didn’t see any reviews like I was looking for, hence why I’m creating this lengthy one in hopes to help someone else! I called Van Horn back and spoke with Tony again, I gave him a brief run down of what I had going on and he immediately connected me with Noel, the finance manager. I explained to Noel I had a poor credit score, a recent bankruptcy but, I did have a low DTI ratio and decent income status. Noel asked when I wanted to come in. I let him know I live about two hours away and I would like to do as much possible over the phone that way I don’t make my way out there to be disappointed. Noel, was to the point and honest, he knew he could help he just couldn’t promise it’d be pretty. So I filled out the finance application online and shortly after Noel had their sales consultant Bryan contact me for the additional details needed to complete the loan process. Bryan was great from the start. His sense of humor was enlightening and he was quick and straight to the point. After a few phones calls, Bryan and Noel had figured out my financing and were ready to get me in the exact car I wanted. The next morning I drove out signed the papers (with a better than expected payment/interest rate) and took the car home. Honestly, their are some minor defects with the car but Bryan was quick to get them taken care of for me. I appreciate everyone I encountered at Van Horn and their urgency to taken care of me and get me going with exactly what I wanted.
