    Umpqua Bank has been great for me! I had a mortgage and a line of credit loan and I never had a problem. I have my main checking account with Umpqua, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

    I'm a bookkeeping professional and my advice about Umpqua Bank is "Don't do it!" My client and I have tried to work with them to get me user access so that I can easily get bank statements to reconcile his account and it was easier for Moses to part the Red sea (well God actually did it, but Moses was there) then to get any quality customer service from this bank. I personally walked into the Meridian location and talked to the bank manager Marsha and that was a huge disappointment. I'm going to make a new company policy that I will not engage with any other clients that bank with Umpqua. Our courier takes deposits in and he dislikes them just from doing courier service. What does that say? To be clear, client was face to face in touch, I've called to follow up (they don't answer the line they gave us or check their messages is what I was told), we tried twice on a conference call, and I walked in today hoping someone would take the bull by the horns and get it fixed. Nope!! If you are a small business and would like quality customer care, take a look at Chase, DL Evans, or Mountain West Banks.

    I've been with them since they were Sterling Bank. Despite all the craziness through the merger that they went through, they never forgot their customers. I had an experience with Mountain America when they went through there merger and I got totally kicked to the curb. Umpqua has been great and I greatly appreciate their constant willingness to help! Thank you guys!

    Two locations that are not convenient. $6 charge to cash a check that was drawn in their account and a snotty teller.

    The company I work for banks with Umpqua. As the Business Office Manager, the company sends me petty cash checks once or twice a month. I usually take the checks to the downtown Boise location to have them cashed. I always go through the drive thru and never have a problem. I have gone to the Meridian location twice and both times I was shocked as to how I was treated. Do to the fact that I do not personally have an account through Umpqua, the drive thru teller informs me that I have to go inside the bank, provide two forms of ID, sign the back of the check, and add my thumbprint to the front of the check. I have NEVER been asked to do that at the Boise downtown branch. Yesterday I stopped by the Meridian branch as I was transporting my elderly father. I explained to the teller that my father is in a wheelchair in the vehicle and we were on our way to a medical appointment. This did not faze the teller at all. She still refused to cash the petty cash check without me entering the building and providing all of the above. I found her to be rude and she made me feel like a thief. I have worked with dozens of area banks in 30 years of bookkeeping and I have never been treated in this manner. I will never go to the Meridian branch again. I live in Meridian and I will never bank at Umpqua because of what I feel is poor customer service.

    We absolutely love this bank. They are always extremely helpful and my two toddlers love getting suckers there. They usually let them use their restroom even though it’s for employees only. There was one time that I did not like being there, and it was because of one of the workers. My husband and I were trying to set up my kids savings accounts, (this was quite a few months ago), and we could tell he did not want to help us. My 2 year old needed to potty, and like I said they usually let us, but he told me I needed to walk over to Taco Bell for them to use their restroom. I was okay with that, because their restroom is for just employees. I walked him over and the Taco Bell was closed, so we went back to the bank and I told him. My kid was screaming at this point that he needed to potty, and the guy didn’t care at all. After sitting there for 20 more minutes for him to input information that we had written down, he told us he was going to lunch and would call us later that day. He never did. He was a huge waste of time. Everyone else there is super friendly, and always trying to accommodate me and my kids. I am continuing to bank there, but I will never use that man for anything ever again.

    I have used them for multiple home loans, this time they recommended a different kind of loan that involved remodeling to the home after purchase. its called a 203k loan. after the original 60 closing they couldn't get there crap together so had to file for a 20 day extension which costs $375. at the end of those 20 days they still are not ready and decided they are going to require a different contractor that is not obtainable for this project as their restrictions are not accepted by any of the local contractors. So now I will loose my $1,000 in earnest money, the $550 for appraisal, $375 for extension and possibly the house because they are inept, don't follow up, don't know what they are doing and apparently don't care about their customers. horrible experience. All they can handle are the easy cookie cutter loans that take no intelligence or effort on their part, just collect the fees and interest and move on to the next customer

    this company will not stop calling my number over and over even though i have no business with them. i have told them multiple times and they keep doing it.
