I spoke with Ben Johnson about applying for a Home mortgage today. He explained everything in great detail, was very knowledgeable, and friendly. You can apply online or in person. Purchased a new home, used TruStone because their rate was 0.5% lower than others. Wish we hadn't used them. We do everything online, simple, easy, convenient. well, maybe not. Their online experience is old and antiquated. and by old I'm pretty sure a 6th grader set it up for their grade school project - in 1992! and that's being a bit harsh on the poor 6th grader. We were used to using Chase which has a great website - very user friendly, helpful, great tools, etc. TruStone is pretty horrible and needs to be upgraded. Calling them isn't much better.

Working with trustone was a breeze. After months of trying to refinance with a big bank and multiple loan officers I gave up as they couldn’t get me a close date. I decided to try again with Trustone and I’m glad I did!! I worked with Jo Hayden and she was great!! She answered her phone every time I had a question. She was able to close on my refinance really quickly, 4 weeks!! I highly recommend Jo and Trustone!!!

TruStone does not offer competitive rates for home mortgage loans and their customer service overall is the absolute worst. Their staff is untrained and incompetent. You have to call a 1-800 number and you get some random customer service rep that has no clue as to what they are doing. There are tons of different credit unions and banks to choose from. Think very carefully before joining this credit union. The interest rate on the checking and savings accounts is not worth it in the long run because the staff is poorly trained, unprofessional, and makes mistakes on a regular basis. I was a member for just over a month and they managed to screw up 3 times in just one month. As the saying goes: members and buyers beware.

I absolutely despise TruStone bank. I had one auto loan since 2018, I’ve never missed a payment. While dealing with some legal issues, I didn’t have auto insurance. Instead of refinancing my loan, they charged me an extra $200 on top of my already astronomically high interest rate. I cannot wait to be done with them. They actually deserve no stars. I wouldn’t bank here ever again if they gave me a loan with no interest 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

Since merging Firefly with TruStone I have received poor customer service. Calls are routed to a call center and they have minimal access to my account. I waited on hold 35 minutes on three different calls. I’d lost my debit card and a new one was to be sent in 3-4 business days. Still the card didn’t arrive. When I contacted them again, no card had been reissued. I’ve been a member for 50 years and this kind of customer service will not make customers happy, ever. So I called the phone number I had been given from TruStone to discuss my concerns , and it doesn’t work!!! My review remains unchanged.

Member for more than 40 years and have always loved banking with Trustone but after merger I have never had such issues and long waits on phone to get through to someone, including some incompetent encounters with personnel on the line once I do get through- that never happened before. No longer can I directly call the persons at my local Trustone. Its all a 800 # now. It’s ridiculous and needs to improve or I’m jumping ship after so many years of high satisfaction. What happened?!! Merger poorly thought through!

This is my second home loan through TruStone. After my first experience I did not want to use them but my husband did. Their online set up is ridiculously cumbersome. Trying to get through to someone in the mortgage department via telephone is a marathon and incredibly frustrating. Our previous mortgage was with Flagstar. They were an amazing company - very easy to work with and their website is super user friendly but TruStone had slightly lower interest rates. If it were up to me I would never do business with them again.

The Oakdale Truestone location has become my one stop professional banking experience! I'm so lucky that this branch is in operation and easier to get to than the Roseville branch for me! Oksana and Zane have been able to get my safe deposit box working and have found answers to my many questions; Kathy and Nicole also handled my questions, got out the dog cookies for my four legged car riders and ask questions, provide feedback that show their care for me; newcomers Emily and Steven have continued the great counter experience; KT has helped me to refinance my vehicle with Truestone and pulled up the needed paperwork so I could sell my 1995 truck which had been financed through Trustone. All greet me as I enter and call me by name. I didn't think I'd ever find someone like legendary Diane at the Roseville branch, but I was so wrong!
