Trustco Bank U, Malta

Trustco will take your money using their Bill Pay system and steal it out of your account. Branch manager and customer service will just lie to you repeatedly. Take your banking elsewhere. Trust me

I had to go into the bank to cash my check. I didn’t have an account and the tellers walked me through what I had to do to get my money. I am considering switching to Trustco because they seemed to care about me and my money.

Over 5 years ago at the Trustco Bank off of Exit 9 from Interstate 87 (Clifton Park) branch. Then branch manager Carmen Ramjeet was very rude, unprofessional, doesn't verify acct security, and orders checks with other people's acct number on them. (And hangs up on me 2x) Banking customers beware!!! NOW TODAY... I walked into at the Trustco Bank off of Interstate 87 Exit 12 (Malta) branch and to my surprise Carmen Ramjeet is now at this location and YES...still branch manager! I can't believe she still has a job at Trustco after how she treated me!

Buyer beware! Please be extremely cautious about dealing with this bank for your mortgage. They will bait and switch and charge you a lot more than originally quoted when you're too far down the line to change. I was quoted a $1500 refinance and it ended up costing me triple that amount because the bank manager had no idea what she was talking about.

Lots of branches. Good online access. Local bank out of schenectady. Conservative and they hold their own loans.

Sat at the drive- thru way to long! A simple check cash took way to long! Had another car pull up was waited on before me, after I sat there 5 minutes! Complete transaction to simply cash a check took 15 + min!

Went to Trustco because a friend had written me a private check from the bank he uses (Trustco) and is a customer at but they wanted to charge me $5 to cash it because i'm not a customer. He has an account and does all his banking with Trustco so the least they could do is when someone comes in with a check for that bank they need to do right by the customer and not try and squeeze money out of people or push them to get an account or to give them $5 when he is already a customer. Do not use this bank!

I had an appointment today with Carmen Ramjeet. My experience was awesome, she was so kinda and thoughtful. I had a lot of banking to do and she followed through with everything. I feel everyone in the bank was kind and upbeat. Wonderful experience thank you!

They are very slow. Don’t go there if your in a hurry. My credit union is much faster.

A very friendly and reliable bank. The people there are smart and quite helpful and always friendly.
