Since the merger the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. Customer service is nil, especially in the mortgage department.

We closed on our new home in April 2013. We were unable to attend the closing due to my husband having emergency heart surgery four days before the closing that was scheduled in FL, over 800 miles from our then home. I received a call from the female SunTrust rep(Heather?) while my husband's surgery was in progress. I informed the ST rep of the emergency surgery that was in progress, and asked if we could change the closing date as I was not in a position to sign and return required documents for a few days. Rather than inquire about my husband's status, the rep told me our closing COULD NOT be delayed and that she was unwilling to modify any of the dates on the closing documents for any reason, and that I needed to send the executed documents the following day, by overnight or express mail. This attitude seemed very inappropriate inasmuch as I told the rep that I did not know the extent or severity of the heart blockage, and that I was very worried inasmuch as my husband was on the operating table. The surgery required four stents as a result of seriously high blockages. On our way home from the hospital, as ordered, we stopped and overnighted the required documents to SunTrust, and the closing took place without us. I could not recommend SunTrust as a result of the foregoing, and in spite of STs requests that we open a bank account with them, we do not intend to do so.

Very friendly staff!! Greeted and treated kindly each visit by all. Patient and understanding with banking concerns. Keep up the good work. <3

We just want to give a special shout out to Jenn a Customer Service Rep on Manatee Ave who always goes above and beyond to help the customers . She is always positive polite professional personable and when I lost a family member she was very empathetic and understanding. Thank You Jenn for your exceptional service. Closed my account with them because they have no accountability and constantly changed the way things are done or gave me different answers to the same question. I made the mistake after closing my account of trying to use them to get a cashier's check and called ahead to verify they could do it for the amounts I needed and was assured I could. I shouldn't have been surprised when I came in later and was told they couldn't do what they said they could. Again they didn't care to find out why they were giving out the wrong information. You don't want people having control of your money who can't be honest with you. Go somewhere else.

Could not be more unhappy with my switch from Wells Fargo to this bank, I cannot reopen my Wells Fargo accounts fast enough. Ridiculous, not helpful and frustrating - do not recommend!
