I cannot speak highly enough about the exemplary customer support that I received from Towpath Credit Union and specifically Laura Adolphson. I applied for a vehicle loan on a Monday and had a check for the dealership by the end of business on Tuesday. Laura was simply outstanding. She went above and beyond to connect with the dealership and make sure everything was taken care of and moving forward while I was at work. I have never had an easier or more cared for experience when obtaining a loan. Towpath and Lara are the BEST!!!!

This is the third vehicle loan I get with this institution and they were amazing! I filled out the application online and immediately Julie contacted me and I gave her all the information... and the very next day I was at the dealer picking up my unit. She had the letter of credit electronically sent and mailed the payment so I didn't even have to stop at the Credit Union for anything. She had all the documents electronically sent to me the very afternoon after we spoke and I electronically signed them after we discussed over the phone the different options for the length and amount of monthly payments. It's a nice sized institution, big enough to be extremely competitive with different branches, but still small enough to be friendly and family atmosphere business environment.

I contacted Towpath for refinance of my auto loan for a lower percentage rate. I was successful and the refinance took less than 3 days and saved me almost 5%! Efficient and professional. Julie Dubravetz was amazing from the start. She stepped right in when the individual I was scheduled to meet with originally, was ill. She is thorough, professional, and intelligent and on top of that, she was patient with me and always took the time to understand my needs. After working together on financing my car, she turned me over to Heidi Jack so that I could open both a savings and checking account. Heidi walked me through the specifics of each account and I left believing I found a banking home. But wait! There's more! I contacted Julie within days to discuss a loan to consolidate a few credit cards and just as before, Julie worked with me on many different options and discussed the pros and cons of each. Within three weeks' time, Julie helped me purchase my car, lower my interest rate on credit cards, and reduce my monthly expenses. I refinanced my car with Towpath Credit Union. Julie D. was very proficient and informative. She made the process seem so easy by giving me specific instructions every step of the way. Excellent team work and communication between departments!

I was blown away with how quickly everything happened with my refinancing, I stopped on a Friday afternoon and Kurt gave me a very thorough explanation of how the refinancing would work, the following Monday I was contacted by Julie Dubravetz and she was very helpful and immediately helped me through all the details. Within 10 days of working with her the paper work was sent to me and I was good to go! Just a wonderful experience!

Go elsewhere. Towpath will jump the gun and charge overdraft fees for overdrafts that never happened, and then lock up your payroll check from a new job for 10+ days because your 2+ year old account is "newer". A fine bank for retirees or the independently wealthy, but not if you have to work for your money. Edit: 25 minutes on the phone and they realized that even though I don't have a LOT of money in the account or make a lot, I'm responsible and it was unreasonable to hold it for that length of time. So I'll be in to close my account at the first opportunity, anyway. Don't mess with working people's money.

I would like to thank the team at Towpath Credit Union, I went there knowing my account was a mess but when I met Heidi J it was like Christmas morning she straightened everything out for me and it didn't take long at all I am so glad that they caught a discrepancy that would have cost me money. Julie Dubravetz at Towpath was an absolute Rockstar! I was pretty bummed when the dealership made a mistake and I had to restart the loan process moments before taking delivery of my new vehicle.
