Town square Title has proven to be incompetent. I was refinancing my house after inheriting it from a family member after their passing. I got all the go ahead and approvals from the mortgage company we were green lighted to do the final closing on the house. We arrive at town square title company to sign the closing docs on the scheduled closing date. We spent majority of the morning signing and discussing the appropriate things for closing. We shake hands take our pictures and proceed to go about the rest of our day feeling happy. About an hour after leaving the closing we received a call from the title company saying they have a problem. We were told they missed an issue with the title work saying the house had somebody else in interest with the property and we would need to have them sign their share of interest over to myself in order to fully close on the house. This however wasn’t found prior to closing because the excuse was I had somebody else working on the paperwork and they didn’t know. I’m not sure exactly how they run their business but to have somebody show up on what should be a happy day for them to only tell them no less than a hour later it wasn’t feasible is down right heartbreaking and a major screw up on their part. Had this issue been known prior to closing it could have been taken care of before hand but now thanks to the negligence and lack of due diligence on the title companies part we have to start all over and go a different route that will cost more money in the long run.

Cindy Turley is literally the best closer I have ever worked with. She is thourough, punctual, and ontop of her game. I've closed the bulk of my deals with Cindy for the last 8-10 years.

Town Square Title Company proved to be incompetent and unprofessional. Here's a list of their gaffes: 1) They tried to push closing because they said they hadn't received the closing docs from our lender. The closing docs had been sent no less than 3 times (I have copies of these communications), but our lender never received a response, so she called them multiple times, but got no answer. Their response was to blame our lender and to say that the emails ended up in their spam folder (though prior emails went through). 2) Town Square was late ordering a survey and did not provide one prior to closing. In fact, they tried to have us sign a document stating we had received it when we hadn't. 3) We had to re-sign a bunch of documents because they didn't know how to handle a realtor credit. 4) #3 caused funding to be delayed. 5) Our realtor credit check was supposed to be FedEx'ed to our new address. Instead, it was sent USPS to our OLD address. Fortunately, we already had the USPS forwarding our mail, so it did get to us, but it was late. 6) Our realtor was supposed to receive her commission on Thursday, but didn't receive it until Friday, and only after she had to call and ask for it. If you have a choice of title companies, run away from Town Square and to somebody else. It's hard to imagine a title company messing up a close worse than these folks.
