TOWN SQUARE MORTGAGE Agustin was the ONLY one that would answer the phone or get back to me. Maria Troya took over a week to reply to 5 emails and several phone calls. Iris was also very hard to get a hold of. This went under contract 11/10/21 with a closing date of December 15th. Buyers had to give up their $5k escrow to get an extension. Did an extension to January 11th, did another extension to January 14th, did another extension to January 19th. Closed at end of the day due to CD taking 24 hours to get to the title company. This caused undue stress on an 80 year old seller and a young couple struggling to close. Your mortgage company over-promise and under-deliver. (10 WEEKS TO CLOSE! NORMAL CLOSE IS 4 WEEKS)

Phillip Zhin went above and beyond helping me to secure my loan, especially after I left a previous lender when they made me feel uneasy. The switched caused delays but Phillip was able to mitigate the delays and keep us on track to close on time. He was patient and considerate. Was recommended by a co worker but had a very bad experience with miss Chantell Newman from town square mortgage. She would not return my calls or text messages, she would say she would get back to me , and call me or text me back and never would.. even after sending her multiple messages, she would only read them and ignore them. Lack of communication.. ended up doing business with a different lender in the end.

Agustin and his team worked very hard to get us our mortgage loan. They were all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We are grateful for all of their hard work.

My Seller and I were told that the Buyers were approved and that the property would close on 6-18-22. The loan documents did not arrive at the Title Company until after 5 PM on 6-20-22, two days late with no communication from Marcos. My Title officer worked until 6:15 PM on a Friday night trying to close the transaction. It did not fund on Friday, corrected documents were sent the following Monday, 6-23-22, and the Buyers needed to come back in to close after being at Title for over 4 hours the previous Friday. Not closing until 5 days after the contract closing date seems to indicate that the Buyers were not pre-approved as we were told, or it indicates a level of incompetence on behalf of the Lender. Either way, I can't recommend TownSquare Mortgage or Marcos Tovar for any future transactions.
