Ticor Title Of Nevada S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas

In January 2021 I sold some property in Henderson. For my first encounter with Ticor Title, I went to drop off some preliminary paperwork and was greeted by Caleen Chamberlain's assistant who I found to be rude with an attitude. I didn't give it much thought thinking maybe she was having a bad day. However, when I returned at the end of the month for final signing, I was again approached by the same escrow assistant who informed me that Caleen was out to lunch and introduced herself as her notary. Again, I found her rude with an attitude nor could she answer any questions that I had. After signing I asked if she could check if Caleen was back from lunch as I still had some unanswered questions. Caleen was in and met with me. Caleen did have a nice demeanor and was at least able to answer my questions. Although the Ticor Title did their job, I recommend their assistant should be counseled on the way she conducts herself with the public or be placed in a position where she does not work directly with the public. I also recommend their escrow officer's remain present during all signings.

Using Ticor was a seller's stipulation, one I have grown to regret agreeing to. This company lacks knowledgeable and friendly individuals. I never met the escrow officer and when signing documents I had a less than competent assistant attempting to explain the documents and process to me. Thankfully, my loan officer was present and was able to do the escrow assistants job for her. Further, upon closing the title company indicated I purchased THE WRONG home. They couldn't even get an address right!! I contacted the escrow officer who would only forward my messages to assistants. They were able to contact the assessor and correct the error (miraculously). Two weeks later, I still hadn't received the welcome packet from the HOA. Big surprise, the title company never sent the package to the HOA!!! Once I confirmed the HOA had no closing documents, I contacted the escrow officer who simply stated the date it was sent, with a smiley face. I assured her this was WRONG to which she later forwarded an email days later from the HOA stating they have now received the documents and will be sending the package. Good sign right? Wrong.The title company, ONCE AGAIN, failed to correct the address error and the owners of my previous residence received the welcome packet. I'm not sure if it is simply the team at this location is incompetent or if it's the entire Ticor Title company as a whole. My warning to you? Just save yourself the headaches and use a different, knowledgable and competent title company!

Three weeks after closing, we received a letter from the County regarding the deed that was prepared and recorded through TICOR. The documents contained several errors, that would need to be corrected by TICOR. Their document preparation was sloppy and inaccurate. The Seller's company name had been typed incorrectly, scratched out and written in by hand, and the property description was wrong. Two calls to the title officer went unanswered. I was able to reach her on the third call. While she was formally polite, she was also very snippy and condescending. This single transaction may be nothing important to her, but it is tremendously important to me.

The lady that helped us sign the title papers for our new house was very helpful and explained everything.

Do not go here! Absolute worse service! The closing Agent Caleen Chamberlin was so disorganized and didn’t have us on her schedule For signing that day! Such a waste of time! Everytime we would call the receptionist would hang up or cold transfer !!

We had a closing with Ticor and it went very well. They had all of the documents ready when we arrived and the lady who signed us was efficient and had answers to all of our questions. They even sent us a copy of our recorded deed and a small refund check within a few days in the mail. Overall a great experience.

If I was selling or buying a home I would want Ticor title on my side. They know what they're doing
