Meridian Home Mortgage Corporation exceeded my expectations. This was the best experience and their staff went beyond the call of duty to make sure I got the best interest rate. They were excellent at keeping me updated and worked with me every single step of the way. I would like to say a big thank you to the team Lyndsey Grimm, Jenna Green, and God Bless Mr. Richard Smith for putting up with me during the closing process. He was so patience and just all around wonderful to work with even when I got frustrated. Thank you also to all the extra Meridian representatives, I spoke with, for all their help from the beginning to the end of this process. Refinancing your home can be a difficult challenge but the staff at Meridian were so dedicated to me and helped me get the best deal on a lower interested so I was able to cut 15 years off my mortgage. We recently did a cash out refinance to take advantage of low rates and the extreme increase in our home value to pay of credit card debt due to medical bills and honestly poor money management on my part. The great people at this company were awesome made it very easy to provide the correct paper work with no delays and always kept in touch with the progress of the loan. We were able to pay off all our debt and stay under our original loan amount still keeping equity in our home and not raising our payment, and relieving us of high interest never ending debt. The stress that has been relieved from my shoulders is amazing, life changing. I am able to live my life now and not just live paycheck to paycheck! Thank you so much! I dealt with several people at Meridian as my refinance moved through the pipeline, and all were helpful and informative. I especially appreciated Matt, who ushered me through the final stage, which was very lengthy due to the sheer volume of loans the underwriting department was processing. He followed up frequently to assure me that everything was on track, and the closing happened very quickly once it cleared.

Communication was poor at best once the loan was initiated. When trying to secure our business they were great. Once we got started it seemed as if we wanted any information at all we had to call them. Many mortgage companies use a pipeline email system to keep you informed as to where your loan is at in the process, Meridian does not. We couldn’t even get an update email. Sometimes we had to call repeatedly to get a question answered. Never call on a Friday as they rarely answered the phone. The process to close this loan was longer than we expected, especially the appraisal and underwriting aspects. We did get snapped at a couple of times for not checking the portal, when we did there was nothing new. Meridian understands their system, not all of their borrowers do. I will say Carly in underwriting was awesome and did her best. A big thank you to her.

We received a Meridian offer in the mail that seemed interesting. It said that we could refinance our house, get rid of our (sad to say) large credit card debt, pay no closing costs, and receive a payment of $10k at closing based on our current equity. It seemed too good to be true. As it turned out, it almost was! The reason this isn't a 5 star rating, is because the net result wasn't as great as we had hoped, but it still was a huge positive for us. Based on the current assessed value of our home, FHA rules limited the overall amount we could borrow. Still, we were able to knock half a point off our current mortgage rate, get the largest of our credit cards paid off, and still walked away with about $3,400 at closing. Before we started the process, we consulted a few online firms that said they didn't have a product anything like Meridian. The process itself pretty much went without a hitch. We even got an apology from the last person responsible for handling things, because the process was taking longer than usual due to the pandemic. I praised him stating that the whole thing went very smoothly, from uploading documentation through their portal, to the appraisal, and the closing. Our neighbor started a refi months before we did and she's still waiting to close! I highly recommend Meridian Home Mortgage for a painless refinancing!

We had a very good experience with Meridian HM throughout the process. From start to finish we had a lot of questions. Every question was answered with either a phone call or email and answered quickly and thoroughly. As with most things right now (middle of a pandemic) it took a little longer than normal but other than that had a good experience. Would recommend to friends that they at least see what they have to offer.

I was already considering refinancing when I received their offer in the mail. I performed some cursory research and determined they were a legit company. There were a number of reps involved throughout the process. They were all friendly and helpful and kept me updated on progress. I would have left 4.5 stars if I could, but I couldn't leave 5 stars as there were just a few things along the way which were less than perfect. First: overall getting from a-z took a long time. About 2.5 months in my case, and that was with me providing requested info and docs within hours of request. Secondly: Some of the requested info was redundant. It may have been requested by the underwriters at the end, but the info or docs had already been supplied to Meridian previously. Third: A couple of times when I supplied info about the desired total of the loan, the ball was dropped. At the last stage the total proposed from Meridian was the maximum loan amount I qualified for, and this amount was way more than I had requested (as far as the cash-back portion) which then took an extra day or two near the end of the process to reconcile. Overall though, a very positive experience. Once the ink dried, all payments were sent out expeditiously.

When we started the loan refinance, I was really impressed by the first phone call I made. The Team were great. It took longer than expected because I called them in October and that put us in the middle of the Holidays. We had also some unexpected questions that came up. All loans are different as are houses. Meridian made the process very easy. After looking around, we discovered Meridian's rates were similar or better than competitors. After clearing up a misunderstanding trying to get the application submitted, things went great. We were constantly apprised of where we were in the application process. We never had to call or contact Meridian. They proactively emailed and called us at each step along the way. I would certainly recommend Meridian.

Seemed like a good idea - should have been our first clue. Process took forever then they kept asking for the same information over and over and over. The 5 people we worked with were nice but it was frustrating to have to continually send information to them, when they already had it. Final straw - our first payment is due 7/1/2020, letter arrived yesterday that our mortgage is already sold! Thanks Meridian. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

And, because of your recent change in employment, we were required to submit extra verification (including the extra documents we asked you to submit) in order to be able to provide you with your loan. Received a letter from Meridian literally stating that I have been pre-screened by them and am eligible to save $1,206 per month and a fixed mortgage rate of 3.25% by refinancing with them and paying off credit cards with a $10,000 loan. The letter appeared too good to be true, but I gave it a shot. Upon calling them the next day, the unenthusiastic loan officer offered me an INCREASE to my mortgage by just under $300 a month! And the rate jumped to 3.5% Clearly, I had been fooled. I asked why they sent me this inaccurate letter in the mail, she said she will speak to her boss. I ended the call. Who sends people such a false promise with such details in the letter only to offer them an INCREASE if they refinance through them? Am I missing the point of a refinance? This had to have been a prank that I fell for. Oh and BTW my credit was in the 700s. Nice job Meridian, it looks like people are slowly starting to figure you out.
Hi Richie. We’re sorry that the specific loan you requested was not something you were looking for. As a family-run company, we work hard to treat all our customers like family. As such, we do not make false promises, because as we said on the letter, all the options you saw were examples with payments that do not yet include escrow. Because you called and asked for a different type of loan than the one stated on your letter, we did have to update your loan proposal based on these changes, and unfortunately, based on the criteria you requested, there wasn't as much in monthly savings.

The People we worked with at Meridian were lovely. When you call, they answer, not an automated system. The only complaint was the length of time that it took, three months from start to finish. After the house was assessed and final details (how much, loan length) addressed, I had to call the Associate handling the closing for updates of status and process. This was different from the initial associates who were detailed on every aspect. That is the reason for four stars instead of five (I would have only deducted a 1/2 star but the system would not let me). Consistent contact through out the process would be lovely.

I was extremely impressed with my refinance process through Supreme Lending. Jim Peterson and Jen Palmer guided me through the process which was very smooth. As documentation was requested from me, it was very easy to upload to a secure portal. I was contacted/communicated with frequently and very timely. I was hesitant to do business with a company outside of the area where I lived but am so thankful I did. Meridian Home Mortgage far exceeded my expectations. They communicated with me every step of the way and in the format I requested since I am not a savvy on line individual they honored my request and forwarded all correspondence via over night mail. The individual I worked with was Oliver Quinn and he did a fantastic job in the handling and ultimately closing of my loan during an exceptionally busy time for mortgage refinancing. I do not hesitate to recommend using them for mortgage financing.

I received an invite to refinance my mortgage with Meridian and I had an FHA that I was ready to get rid of the PMI. Meridian was very helpful all the way through the process. There was a communication breakdown at one point but Meridian worked incredibly hard to make things right and made sure I was taken care of and that the refinance made sense and met our financial needs. I was extremely impressed with their customer service throughout the process and so thankful for their dedication to making sure I was completely satisfied with the refinance. Overall, it was an easy process and they did a fantastic job of keeping me informed as things progressed.

There are times when you receive junk mail on a regular basis and just ignore it. But sometimes something catches your attention and it's NOT JUNK!! We had received MERIDIAN information before and discarded it. But after trying to refinance with our Mortgage Company and a local bank with the rates dropping because of the pandemic, we received another letter from MERIDIAN and checked them out with BBB. We quickly reached out to MERIDIAN and within minutes of speaking with someone we were on track to refinancing! We were impressed right from the moment we spoke with Joanne. Things moved along very nicely. They keep in touch with you right along the way. Phone calls and emails were all done in a timely matter and they were always very receptive to helping us out with any questions! Their customer portal for exchanging information and uploading or downloading information was extremely easy to maneuver! The timing of the refinancing and the cash back that we received couldn't have been better. We weren't even planning on cash back but it worked out that way and will help us with an upcoming wedding in 2021! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with MERIDIAN and the entire staff! My loan experience with Meridian was the most positive and stress free of any I have ever had before in my life. Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant and helpful. They kept me informed by phone and email frequently and fielded my questions without hesitation. I had had an absolutely terrible experience a few years ago with Wells Fargo attempting to get a similar loan and Wells Fargo never kept me informed and I had to drag information out of the loan officers. Wells Fargo changed their rules on me more than once during the process and finally I backed away from them after wasting a lot of time and effort on my part. Meridian folks always told me the truth and never hid or changed the rules and kept me in the loop and did not forget about me. Oliver Quinn of Meridian was especially helpful throughout this process despite having to deal with Covid -induced complications like working at home and the death of my wife of 45 Years in October. I am pleased with the service I received from Meridian. They offered me a great rate on my refinance, and the staff were always courteous and professional. The only problem I experienced was the long wait time for the paperwork to be processed and approved by the underwriter, which they said was due to COVID.

I will not recommend this company to do your Home mortgage. Please don’t go by their fake paper offer and recommendation to apply for home mortgage or refinance for cash out. You will be regret on after applying with them. I have excellent credit 793, my house worth 270k and loan is only 205k and some balance of credit card, and we make around $140k yearly. Still they didn’t offer anything besides offering FHA loan with another additional $700 payment for another same 30 years and they offer conventional loan for 20 years 3.27 which i already have with my current Mortgage company. I saw in that offer letter they will pay for appraisal fee..... hun that's big lie,,,, They asked $7700 total to closing cost. Are you kidding me...….... Agent i worked with he said why shouldn't try just on your name , i said ok but it come out same. Manager called me back to offer better rate but nothing change. They worried about the review i provided versus really helping people.... and promise they made in their recommendation pre approval letter. They should stop sending this kind of offer letter to consumer and attract consumer to apply mortgage refinance loan through their company. I am going to file the report of this company to credit bureau and other affiliated agency for this kind of activities.
Hi Bishal, we initially offered you two different options. Then when you asked to see more, we provided another option that was the best possible deal we could offer. We did provide all these options at no charge to you (as we don’t charge upfront fees and deposits). We’re sorry these options didn’t work for you, and wish you best of luck finding a loan that will suit your needs.

Meridian was able to do for us what other refi mortgage lenders were not—and I know because we first tried with the "rocket" competitor, which would have done virtually nothing in accomplishing our goals. With Meridian, we were able to pay off all of our credit card debt, get cash out, reduce our interest rate, and still just about keep the same payment and remaining loan term of our original mortgage. While we hit a few unexpected snags/delays along the way, the team at Meridian did their best to keep us moving through the process as quickly as they could. And, yes, I was intiially wary of their mailed marketing materials, but in the end they actually delivered for us.

The process took three months they said it was because of the Covid and not being able to find someone to appraise our home. Anyway everything went great except for the payment date. It was supposed to be a month later and somehow it wound up being three weeks after we closed. Luckily we were prepared and able to pay it at that moment

How Meridian has a 5 star review is insane to me. After all the hoops they made me jump through and the numerous times they didn’t respond to my calls or emails plus all the paperwork I had to acquire they could not hold up to what they were offering. My house was appraised $25,000 higher than what I purchased it for and they still couldn’t. I looked at reviews and I noticed that a lot of people had similar experiences to me and they happened to be the one star reviews. If you get that letter in the mail from them. Trash it. Waste of time. I’m convinced the 5 star two sentence reviews are fake and done by their own employees. Meridian is a scam

We did need to confirm your source of income for your loan, which is why there was more paperwork. Working with the team at Meridian was very interesting. Team was respectful and knowledgeable. The team members were accessible when needed and returned phone calls within a reasonable period of time. The only problem that I notice was I did not know who to call when or if I needed to speak with someone. I just left a phone call on anyone phone and the call was returned. I did not know who was responsible for what area of the transaction. We got through it successfully eventually. Special thanks to all of you.

After we retired, we tried to refinance our house to change it from a 30-year with a high interest rate to a 15-year with a lower rate. We were told that there were repairs that it was suggested we make before we had an appraisal done. We had windows, doors, and siding installed. We remodeled the kitchen and two bathrooms. We went to Wells Fargo to refinance the mortgage that we had with them. Because of the expenses we had incurred with the improvements had increased our debt to equity they would only give us part of what it would take to pay off the expenses. The main problem was that three of the projects were financed with Wells Fargo. They refused to pay off any of the Wells Fargo loans and our interest rate would be higher that it currently was. We went to our credit union who were willing to refinance but advised us to wait six months and pay down some of the other bills to give us a better chance of getting what we needed. Shortly after the pandemic started, we received an advertisement in the mail for Meridian Mortgage. It listed our mortgage and all of our bills and said that they could refinance us and take care of all of it. It said we could get cash back and a much lower interest rate. I filled out the form on the back of the advertisement and faxed it in. Within an hour I received a call from a Meridian representative that began the most rewarding home refinance process that we have ever experienced. On 5/13/20 our application was accepted. Christopher, Phil, and AJ stayed in constant contact with me. They helped us complete all the requirements and submit the required documents on-line. The people at Meridian arranged the appraisal. They worked with us to pay off all of the Wells Fargo accounts and gave us enough cash back to pay several more bills. The interested rate was very good. A closer was sent to our home to finalize the closing so we never had to leave our house for anything during the process. During this time of COVID 19 that was very important to use because of our age. They were not able to provide the funds that were proposed in their initial advertisement but what they were able to provide was based on our appraisal and our financial records. What they were able to provide was more than we had dreamed we would be able to accomplish. Even after the closing when I contacted Phil with a minor issue concerning the cash back to us that I was only letting them know about for future customers, he was quick to take care of it and even sent us a gift for letting them know. I would highly recommend Meridian to anyone considering refinancing their mortgage. They are by far the best company we have ever done business with.

Super quick and easy to work with. Aj, Richard and Anthony made our process super easy and fast. Even with Covid19, it was super fast, it took us just 3 weeks all our process. Overall, I had a very positive experience with Meridian Home Mortgage. They were very responsive at every step of the process. I also appreciate that when I reached out to them with emails, phonecalls, texts, etc...they were quick to respond to my requests. The only thing that I would have preferred to have been different might have been the length of time that the loan process took..it took about 4 months overall. But it was worth it! Thanks Meridian for such a positive experience in what can be a bit of a stressful process. I appreciate your professionalism.

From receiving the letter in the mail and making the first call, to closing on the mortgage was very quick and effortless. We did talk with a many number of people at Meridian, but they all seemed to have a role and could answer any question I had. We did have our main point of contacts info, but I never had to reach out to that person. I have had nothing but a positive experience in re financing our mortgage, and would highly recommend anyone else that is in the market for a refi, to contact Meridian.
