Texas-Tulips, LLC Reviews
C
It's a nice stop if you are in the area. There weren't as many tulips as seen in other photos. It's a nice family outing to bring kids to pick their own tulips. The entrance fee is $5 and each tulip is $2.50.
E
Fun experience in North Texas! Lots of free, well organized parking, $5 per person admission. The tulips are $2.50 per stem for the ones you pick. They will clean, trim and wrap them for you with a little liquid jell in the bottom of the sleeve to help them last until you can properly get them into a vase.
A
It’s okay it’s 5 to get in and 2.50 per tulip. 80% of the fields are not ready to bloom everything was green and limited. The tulips that were bloomed most were picked out already and people step on the flowers to cross over rather than walk around there was a handful of rows with flowers so not much of.a selection ! Definitely not worth the price to go every year. It would be nice if they let the entire fields bloom and then open it to the public. One more tip go early when they open the layer of the day the more crowded and less selection. Overall okay experience !

I've wanted to visit Texas Tulips since last year! The weather was beautiful on the day I visited. Because tulip season doesn't last very long, it was packed with lots of people, mostly families. You get to pick the tulips and you pay per stem. It is a little pricey per stem, and after 2 weeks, I can tell you that your tulips will be dead but you come here for the experience. It was a lovely day, I had a nice time looking at all the different colors of tulips and picking them out. Giving Texas Tulips 3 stars because I felt like 1) there wasn't enough tulips on the day I visited, as there was a lot of empty plots of soil and 2) I felt like the seating area was too limited so they should add more tables and put up some shade with the tables, especially for some of the hotter days.
m
Love it my daughter love the flowers 💐 this was our first time going we had to drive 1hr 30min. I will recommend to bring a vase with water if your traveling far most of my flowers dyed but it was with the ride and the awesome memories.
K
I drove over an hour to visit and get some handpicked tulips for a special event. I wish the whole field had bloomed but it was still a lot of flowers! Now the customer service was a bit strange. I noticed at the entry the workers were chatting up everyone else around me but when I came to pay my $5, I couldn't get a greeting. I was still nice and polite. Then when I finished picking the flowers and headed to pay for them... the lady behind the counter was asking everyone in front of me was this their first time? had they like it And so on. I was preparing to give her my thoughts. She said NOTHING to me. I greeted her and she acted as if she couldn't hear me with my mask on. The ladies in front of me had their mask on too. But she heard them? I just noticed there was a CLEAR difference in treatment with customers. And I'm not here for it! So even though I loved the beautiful flowers and the short road trip. I won't go back.
K
Great Saturday afternoon outing! Be careful picking your tulips. It's $5 per stem and you can easily get carried away.
P
This is the only Tulip Farm around DFW . We went there in second week of March it was still not in complete Bloom but we managed to get some great pictures . Entry fee is 5$ per person and you can pick tulip for 2.5$ per stem .
S
Date: March 20, 2021 Overpriced to see just a few tulips. Too many visitors for such a small tulip farm. If possible setup online reservation. I would say if you want to make money by selling tulips, sell them off the shelf. Please don't let a crowd sweep them off the farm. I know this may be an experience for some. But I personally don't prefer the destruction. Also, visitors should try to visit this place in first few days after opening, as all the tulips are taken away and a barren land is not a good sight to enjoy. Date: March 21, 2022 Most of tulip plants have grown around 3-5 inches. Around 70% of them don't have any flowers or even buds, and only 10% have full bloom. I feel they shouldn't start admitting people with $5 per person, when there is really nothing to see. With the whacky weather this year, thier first batch of plants may have already died. And they planted some more just to still qualify as a tulip farm. The soil was very dry and cracked (no wonder the tulips have given up). It was very disappointing to drive around 1 hour from our place for nothing. I would steer away from this over hyped place from next year onwards. It would have been better to spend my time and money at the dallas arboretum.
C
Flowers were really pretty. Weather made everything better. Definitely recommend.
S
Great experience overall. We went when it was a bit too hot though; Over 90 degrees! Try going when it’s not so hot.
T
We went 2 years ago and it was a nice experience. This year we went towards the end of the tulip season and there was only a few good rows of tulips making it very difficult to get really nice photos. Between lack of tulips and crowds, I feel there should habe been a discount foe entry. $5 each for a family of 6 was a bit of a rip off today. I can update next year!
B
Beautiful experience for my 1st time going. I do wish there were more Tulips, but I do know the season is ending so that is my fault. Yet, I still had fun with my friends. We all enjoyed it. I plan on coming back next year for an earlier visit. I feel the tulips are a tad pricey especially because they died when i got back home same day. I have placed them in water and recut the stems so hopefully I get at least a few days out of them. We shall see.
J
The tulips are beautiful. The weather was perfect except the wind was blowing really hard. The field is easy to negotiate and the pathways are clearly marked. I didn't realize they allowed guests to pick the flowers so some areas were a little bit bare. I was also quite surprised at how many people were there, however it wasn't over crowded. If you want fresh picked, beautiful tulips, this is the place to visit.
M
So many beautiful tulips!! It gets crowded on pretty afternoons! Lots of people all dressed up in impractical outfits for their Instagram photoshoots, lol! Some tips before you go- wear comfortable shoes. Dont bring your dog, dogs are not allowed. Dont let your kids trample or rip out all the tulips. It is stroller friendly when the ground is dry. Bring something to cut your tulip stems with. Too many dummies pulling the bulbs right out. DO keep in mind each stem is $2.50 and that adds up. Lots of people were dumping their baskets of stems because they realized they picked more than they wanted to pay for. What a waste!
I
The website and reality are completely 2 different things. It did not meet my expectations and i am disappointed actually. There is not a variety of flowers to choose from. On top of that the lady that was wrapping my tulips was unpleasant and rude I could even say, not willing to pack my bulbs. I did not receive any bag for them. It's actually way cheaper to go to Walmart and buy a bouquet of tulips.
D
This was our second year to visit and it’s definitely a new tradition for us ~ already can’t wait for next year! Staff is super friendly, admission and price of tulips is very reasonable and everything is well organized as far as parking and paying. For all of you who are complaining about the lack of flowers, get over it. There were tons and yes, some still hadn’t bloomed yet but they can’t control nature or the fact that we just had a snowstorm! Also keep in mind that with ALL the people that visit on a daily basis, they are going to get picked over fast. It’s still well worth the trip!!
J
I have been really down the past few days but my fiancé had the bright idea to take me to the tulip farm to lift my spirits. Well it worked! We pulled up and there was a lot of green worrying me that they had been picked clean. The opitite was luckily the case today, most hadn't popped out of thier buds. Lots of people seemed to be avoiding the buds making it easy for me to get a great haul! The flowers are reasonably priced at $2.50 a stem and they even wrap them with a flower transport gel and colored tissue paper when your done. It was a great trip but I would chose to go earlier next time. The drive in and parking situation get slower as the day goes on and unfortunately since it's no longer "required" most people did not have masks on. None of the employees were wearing masks either so if kinda thing bothers you, you might just wait till next year. I would say wait till you get your shot but I don't think there is much time left in the picking season and there were hundreds of cars in line as we were leaving.
T
Beautiful!!! We'll be back again soon and are ordering bulbs online!! Please be respectful and pull the tulips how the BIG SIGN tells you to do so, don't pull the bulbs out!! Note- wear good shoes, maybe bring a back up pair if yours get muddy. Definitely worth the drive, we suggest you go early in the day, less people in the fields. See y'all again soon!!
R
Great place to spend the evening amidst flowers. To pick some tulips for mom or spouse. The tickets are $5 per person, free below one year. You get to pick yours , $2.50/ per tulip. The parking is temporary but is large and nicely managed. Cash/ credit both accepted. Good place to spend a Saturday/ Sunday evening.
m
The tulips were beautiful! I love Iris's! They were just starting to open, but the colors were spectacular! Awesome event! Thanks! The one weather was perfect for the event!
S
Our trip was on Mar 22 2021. Very disappointed. Some flowers had dried up. Some of them were buds. Some tulips were plucked from the plants by the visitors. Very few rows of bloomed flowers. An hour of driving went in vain. Above all, family members were disappointed. Probably, the weird Dallas weather (snow storms) affected the growth and blooms. We appreciate the efforts of the people that planted and nurtured the tulip plants.
R
I would highly recommend going when it first opens and not waiting. I'm not really sure how to word this review without making it sound like it's "Texas Tulips" fault for people's lack of care and courtesy. Way too many people blocking rows for too long trying to take the perfect picture. People left trash, they stepped through the flowers to get to the next row instead of walking around. The Tulips themselves were lovely. Going at the end of the day you don't get to see a many of the Tulips since most have been picked by then. I was able to snap a few quick pics.
S
Lots of varieties of Tulips with enough parking space that is open late enough. I went on a weekend in April and it was packed. A $5 entree fee was reasonable. I wasn't there to pick tulips but to scout the area for portrait work. Not the ideal location on a weekend given the space and density of people but if you do close-ups, you can still get decent shots. The field can be muddy but bags to wear around your shoes are provided. There are portable restrooms.
L
A cute little place to pick fresh tulips and take photos. There are so many variations in colors! So you can stroll through for awhile picking whatever you like. They have directions on how to pick the tulips. Then when you check out they will gel the stems and wrap your picks in colored tissue of your choice.
S
I am not a tulip fan so probably I couldn't understand my so many people go there just for tulip picking. The entry is $5 for anyone aged 2 and above. The Tulips you pick would cost extra $2.5 per tulip
C
Super fun and cute idea. We went on Saturday the 9th and they said that it was likely to be the last day this season. I would go again, but go early on! There wasn't much left to choose from.
P
The drive there was beautiful the hour line in car to get to park was a bit much.. However... The tulips were a magnificent sight to see!...
A
My mom and I had a great laugh after paying $5 per person to see this "field of tulips". Lol looked more like a plowed field of onions at a farm waiting to be picked. I don't think they should let people pick the tulips. Thanks for the laugh. I wouldn't suggest it.
B
We went on a Friday night and it was CROWDEDDDDD. The flowers were picked over too but we found a few keepers. $5 a person to get and $2.50 a flower. Next year I'll go earlier in the season and maybe on a school day.
A
It is a good place to visit, they charge 3 dollar per person to get in and you can pick your own flowers for 2.50 a piece and they wrapped on tissue paper and everything. Great place for pictures but for me it is smaller that what I was expecting, and some of the plants were still not having flowers. It was a good experience after all and we were planning on doing something else on the area but is not much to do on a Monday afternoon eventhough it is spring break .
B
My best friend and I went today. We thought it was great! We picked two bouquets, ten flowers each. There was a good selection, but you can't expect every single tulip to be available. Also, a tip is to find the ones you like and pick the tallest fattest unopened buds you can find. Even if they are green, they will still fill out their color and be just beautiful in a couple days, not to mention the bouquet will last a lot longer. I attached a photo of the flowers I got today.
N
People who are working there was friendly and helpful but we felt it's expensive, entree is $5 it's completely acceptable but if you pluck/pick a tulip build each cost is $2.50 this is expensive, I mean easily we would pick 5-10 for pictures, so atleast you would spend another $15-25. I just felt expensive, you might not feel the same. We did pluck some. They are very small, we thought they will be upto knee but they are like 5-7 inches.
S
Texas tulips is so cute. A great activity to celebrate spring. $5 entree fee (cash or card) and free parking. Great place to take pictures and build your own tulip bouquet.
J
We visited March 5. It was pretty and the man at the entrance was nice. The place was packed all day and the tulips were small. We already knew they’d be small and planned for it. I took pictures of our 7 month old. Until they grow taller- If you want pictures with the whole family you need to go when it’s less busy and have the tulips in the foreground and family in the background! Hope this helps! UPDATE Mar 2022 Back for the spring picking. Be sure to take spare footware so not to track mud/sand back in car. UPDATE Late Mar 2021. Back after long absence. Weather was great for us and lucky as many tulips had just bloomed earlier in week. Lots of friends and families in attendance taking lots of photos. Admission is now $5 per head and you pay for each tulip picked. Timing is everything from the weather to the crowds. Good luck. (1st visit 2017) Lots and lots of tulips to choose from to decorate. Watch for the specials and offers in the spring. Cross your fingers the weather is good to the flowers.
C
a wonderful experience.. excellent weather to visit and be able to buy these beautiful flowers.. the people in charge were very friendly. I fell in love with the place and the city..
M
Always a fun activity for the family. Prices are fair and the experience of picking your own tulips is priceless. We make sure we visit every spring. 🌷 🌷 🌷
R
This is a "hidden gem" as some would call it. It's a nice way to get the kids interested in some form of nature or to just walk around and get out of the house. There is no parking fee and the parking staff is efficient and I really appreciate that. It's only $5 per person and the guy people who work here are super kind. They absolutely loved my daughter and she appreciated them back for acknowledging her but not consuming her space. For the married folks you can tell your partner that you went out and hand picked some flowers from the ground for them and it wouldn't be a lie for $2.50. Me and my daughter made a nice arrangement for my wife and she appreciated it.
S
We visited at the beginning of April, so we didn't get to experience all the Tulips in their glory. There we're only two half rows of yellow tulips left. Understandable since it's end of season. There were two full rows of irises though that were beautiful! They had a wonderful photo-op area with a playground and a playhouse for kids! It would be the perfect place for a picnic. The only reason I'm rating four stars instead of five, is because I don't think they should charge full admission price if there's only two half rows of tulips.
K
Quite a drive out for us, but totally worth it. The people who work there are really nice and the tulip fields were stunning. I didn't know that there was so many different varieties of tulips! Absolutely kid friendly, plus 12 months & under are free. Photo-ops galore! **TIP: At the stands where you get your flowers wrapped, they have a bucket of "orphaned" tulips. You can find some beautiful gems in there that are available for the picking. I found some gorgeous tulips that I did not see in the fields and added them to my bouquet. Such a lovely place, can't wait to come back next year when we'll be closer!
G
Must visit attraction during the session . There is an entry fee of 5$ and 2.5$ for every Tulip you pick from there. There is plenty of car parking space. They do have few mobile rest rooms.
N
We went on first opens weekend hence there were only few flowers. $5 per person. There have play area for kids and small maze.
N
Great outing! In 2022, the freezes kept the flower stems short, and I think the girl wrapping our flowers didn't consider that. Our bouquet of 3 and our bouquet of 8 we're both crushed.
C
The amount of ridiculous complaining here in the other reviews is absolutely comical. Their prices are well known and they're really not that expensive compared to what you would pay for a bouquet at a flower shop. We went right at opening so the crowds weren't bad at all and being the end of March there were alot of flowers to choose from. Everyone is friendly and overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back next year.
C
First time going, I had always wanted to go. The fields were pretty okay, but it was really crowded. I think the busy fields and longer lines caused the employees to rush. I purchased a bouquet before they cut the stems. They just hacked the long stems of the flowers really short and crushed them in the wrapping paper. Really expensive for flowers that fell apart when I got them home. Disappointed. I don’t think I’ll be going back.
L
DO NOT GO IN MARCH!! We went on March 3 and were VERY disappointed; the tulips were only 4"-6" tall, and not many flowers. Not at all like the pictures on their web site. Certainly not worth $5 each - it only took us 5 minutes to decide to leave-not worth it. They should not be open until their tulips are grown and full of flowers.
T
I haven waiting for about 3 years to see the Tulips. My hopes for seeing fields of beautiful Tulips came to an end on 3-18-22 when we drove up. We went ahead and paid the $5 per person to see them but the fields were almost empty and most of the flowers had not even bloomed. The advertisement for this Tulip farm is very over rated and gives a false hope to people. Very very disappointed in my visit.
A
Beautiful place to visit near Texas, perfect for a day trip with family. Spring starts early March here, Beautiful varieties of Tulips. Take your professional cameras with you. Nicely organized, friendly staff.
E
Gorgeous place to visit! The rows of tulips 🌷 are perfect for those family photo sessions. Its family owned. $5 to enter and $2.50 for each tulip picked. Little pricey but parking is free and you can stay tell closing. Don’t miss this short window of springtime beaty. Before you walk in to the fields they have someone instructing you on how to properly pick the flowers along with basic rules like not stepping on the flower beds, and so forth. Beautiful place would go next year!
G
Very nice beautiful and relaxing place, you can buy the tulips and take them home, 1-1/2 hours drive for 20 min stay
A
Very nice to visit but it was extremely busy and over picked. Still some pretty blooms and unopened flowers. Wanted to get some pics with our baby but it was so crowded especially where there were blooming tulips. When I say busy be prepared for “theme park” amounts of people. We were overwhelmed. Felt like a good idea that everyone else had.
N
I never write a review but this place is so bad. My trip was on March 21, 2021. I stuck in the traffic for almost an hour because there are so many people. But when I arrived, there was not a single tulip. All I saw is dust and dust. Don’t waste your time.
A
Have wanted to come here for YEARS! Finally made it happen on Friday. The flowers were AMAZING and I loved the variety. My family from Arkansas came down to go too. They loved it as well, especially a flower obsessed four year old.
M
Was very pretty. Nice folks. Will recommend.
P
It's a beautiful sight. Good amount of colors in the space. You can have a great time if you can visit at right time. We went in 3rd week of March. We felt we are late. Half of the flowers are gone or sold out. May be 2nd week of March would be a perfect time. Entry fee $5 is kind of acceptable. But the flower price $2.5 is a lot. Not a fare price. And I don't think the flowers can sustain a day after plucking. Try to be there by 9am, so that you can have perfect moments for photos without people coming in frames.
K
I went at the end of February and the bulbs were just starting to bloom; less than 10 percent of the whole field. I imagine in mid to late March this place is spectacular. Make sure you wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy and filthy. Muddy spots are covered with large boards, but it's inevitable you'll get a little dirty. Ladies wrapping the stems are very kind and do a great job. Overall a very pleasant experience. I think it'll definitely be worth the drive and come back once things are bloomed up all the way. Even now, there is plenty of varieties and things to see worth your $5.
M
It’s incredibly beautiful... Texas Tulip.we love the tulip fields... very much clean and colorful with a lot of varieties flowers . We took so many pics.. the weather was so good. We enjoyed a lot.Very friendly staff. My kids bought so many tulips 🌷. Recommended
Hi Manaswini! We are thrilled that you all had such great time with us! Thank you so much for sharing and for your recommendation- we truly appreciate the support! take care
V
If you are in the area do not miss this gem!! Went on a Monday afternoon in March with very little crowd. The flowers are breathtaking and you really can't take enough photos! We were flying home that day and could not pick flowers but the owners graciously gave us a mail order form with a 10% discount on it for the bulbs.
S
It's been a tradition since my husband and I started dating that we come to Pilot Point and pick tulips together. I love how much this place has grown and how sweet everyone is every year we come. The variety of tulips to appreciate is amazing. I cherish this place so much 💕
S
If you want to visit Tulip garden then its not the best place. But if you want to buy some tulips and spend some time with your family or friends you can come here. Ticket rates are 5$ per person and 2.5$ for one tulip.
