TCF Bank S Main Dr, Lombard

I wish there was a zero rating! Worst customer service I have ever experienced , I went in there upset because I had been on the phone for an hour and no one answered the customer care line. When I called this branch they told me I had to come in in person to identify myself because they don’t identify customers over the phone. I will admit I was a little upset when I got there because of all the trouble I had to go through but instead of the lady deescalating the situation she was very rude! I told her I’d like to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager!! After a heated backwards and forth I told her I would like to close my account she said “go ahead and close it , I don’t care I am quitting I have already put my 2 weeks notice!” . Who talks to a customer like this! Anyway since Huntington took over I have been very unhappy with the services so I will gladly take my business elsewhere!

I've been with TCF for a very long time, but this was my first visit to the Lombard location. Ciji helped me thru what I thought would be a lengthy transaction with a smile and kindness the whole way thru! 😊 So kind that we will be switching our other accounts to TCF to bank in the future! It's lovely to encounter a pleasant person to help thru times of stress. Thank you so much Ciji 💓

I would give this place zero stars. The tellers lack basic communication and personal skills. So much attitude and sass from the women there. It would be an insult to call them ladies. Ciji specifically, always went to her. But then she started having marital issues and she was projecting. Since then her behavior was completely unprofessional, not to mention her speaking about her personal life to customers. I've stopped going for over a year now and I hope I never, ever have to go again! Absolutely HATE banking with TCF because of this staff!

Very rude and makes big mistakes and will not Rectify it and tries to turn it around on you do not go to this Banks they're corrupted and the managers are rude the employees are on now aged and they don't write up their employees for making

Today is Saturday August 22, around noon. There was no line but the service was so dry!!! Dry?? Yes, no Friendly greeting! The cashiers faces were so moody! It was like I entered into their houses without permissions. I was standing behind the counter in front of one teller, she said “can I help you?’ With a strong tone! TR:19 2254 not showing names on the receipt! I replied “am here to withdraw $1000.” She signed. It’s really make me felt uncomfortable. Like am borrowing her money! Well, the branch manager needed to do something about it though! Before you are losing all banking customers! Little things can cause hesitation and yes, I am questioning should I close my account or leave it open with tcf and give them another change!

Dina the branch manager was wonderful, handled by situation very professionally and efficiently. I was extremely wrong about this review I later found out they have not taken care of my account the result of that my ACH was returned 3 times. And every time I call TCF phone they say go to the branch and in branch they say everything is fine... This is a horrible

Takes to long just trying to get info on the lobby hours on Saturdays.
