This place is a scam. They called me about a payday loan. Left a voicemail with my FULL NAME DATE OF BIRTH AND SOCIAL. No REAL buisness does this. They try to intimidate you don't let it work. I called the supposed company that filed this suit against me, and they said they dropped it years ago, and they don't know who the hell ARA and associates is. Btw the "good reviews" sound like commercials. No body actually says "thank you for taking my money" which is what they are basically saying.

Seems their track record with preying on the elderly is still in tact. My grandmother is 93 years old. She has paid everything she's ever owed on time without fail. We received a call from ARA yesterday regarding a credit card from Chase (that she never had) with a supposed balance of $13,000. They've given her til the end of business today to pay the settlement amount, or else the full amount is due. Problem is, they tried this same thing with her 6 months ago. My mother took care of it then, proving that the debt did not belong to her. I've called Chase, and they have no record of the account number being associated with my grandmother at all. I sincerely hope all of the good reviews are fake, because this company simply preys on elderly folks trying to fleece them of their hard earned money. A shame there are people in the world that do these kinds of things to honest individuals.

ARA called me this morning. They even quoted my entire social security number back to me.... which is rare for authentic firms to do. They claimed a court judgment is going out from my county court for collection... on a debt they claim I owe from 1996... 22 years ago. I don’t even remember defaulting on anything... much less 22 years ago. I hung up and called the number back... discovered it’s ARA. There are law firms that will take your case... pro bono against ARA if you wish to with that. I will if they continue to harass me.

Accusatory, rude and irascible man called and told me I owed 11043.32 I have no idea why and he overspoke when I tried to speak with him. I called back and asked to speak with an administrator and got the same man who hung up on me again after his accusatory tirade. This is not a good business practice. The forth call got me connected with a patient office manager who was polite and patient with me, but could not tell me what this debt was for other than telling me it was a credit card that was paid upon for 22 years and then defaulted 18 years ago. This company has an inordinate number of negative reviews and a number of questions about their legitimacy.

ARA called me about my bill, I didn't like it. I read some reviews, I seen some others didn't like it either,but some did. I called back. Samuel Sanders gave me a discount I paid it he promised a paid in full letter. I waited for 3 days then called him back, he said it's in the mail. Next day it was there... I realized I didn't dislike he collection agency I dislike owing someone... I don't owe anybody and baby it feels good!!!!

I received a call about a car they claimed i owed $5000 on purchased in 1997 a Ford Probe. I told them I've never owned a Ford Probe. I asked what address they show that to finance company supposedly tried to contact me they didn't have that info... The manager a male with an accent got on the phone and started telling me I already have charge offs on my credit and they don't care if its was 1997. I told him not to talk to me like I'm a child. He was very disrespectful and condescending and said they will be sending papers to my employer which he called by name. There is more but I'll stop here. they do not get any stars.. this is a class action suit all day long! Already contacted an attorney. This is harassment and slanderous.

If you get a call from or deal with William Brice, ask for another customer service rep. This guy was an a-hole to me years ago. He was rude, uncooperative and insulting. After about 45 minutes of arguing with the jerk, I finally had to talk to his supervisor to establish a payment schedule that worked with my disability income. The supervisor was the exact opposite of butt-hole Brice...he was calm, cooperative and courteous. And....we established my payment schedule in only 5 minutes. Then when I recently spoke to Brice to get some info about my account, I found his disgusting demeanor hadn't improved at all. He was just as much of an a-hole now as he was years ago. So if you have the misfortune of having to deal with William Brice--the worst customer service rep in customer service history--ask for another rep. to deal with. UPDATE--I just found out ARA has been stealing money from me for years...on a credit card account that is way past the statute of limitations. But luckily, ARA refunded me all the money I paid them. The secret to getting your money back from these crooks....get your state's attorney general to start sending them letters on your behalf. ARA caves in like the cowardly crooks they are.

Wish I could give them a zero. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM!! You all that have paid have most likely been taken advantage of. They called me about my husband. They claim he still owes 31k on a car that he supposedly paid on for 6 years. We've been together since high school. I handle all credit reports, credit applications and finances. All vehicles we've ever owned we've been on together. And after 6 years a vehicle would've been paid off. It's sad that people actually work for scum like this. No moral compass there at all. People please BEWARE!

Seems funny that all of the positive reviews for this joke of a company are all 4 stars and say almost exactly the same thing. I guess if you can’t be a legitimate business, you lie and post fake reviews of yourself. Look around the web and anyone can see that ARA tries to bully people into old and/or non-existent debt. It’s a scam. Never say you owe anything or agree to pay. And never ever ever give a cc or debit card number. These morons feed off people’s insecurity and should be in prison.

This is a SCAM!!! They can't provide you with any additional information regarding the debt.. they tell you they'll freeze all your accounts, won't give you any business physical address. When I told "manager" it's a fraud because I don't have any debt.. He started bad mouthing about how he'll freeze all my things. I told him I don't even have anything we run everything with cash.. The idiot told me, I don't argue with people who don't pay their debts 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but yet he's a "debt collector!"

O stars!! These rude scammers called me stating I owe 20K for something I never had or did. After I stated that 3x then the story changed to I must've had some student loans I didn't pay and now they are going to garnish my wages...really when you never sent me one legsl document with valid info. I called my attorney and I'm waiting for their first move. I'm in good standings with my creditors! If I defaulted on student loans my IRS would have been intercepted as well as wage garnishing. The debt you are trying to scam me for dated 16 years ago isn't mine. The devil is an undignified liar...the blood of Jesus covers me and my resources. My God is bigger than all the tricks you have satan.
