    Just paid my last bill but I am unable to put the last .99 cents I owe and I can’t pay $1 because it’s over the limit I owe.. so how do I pay this last $.99? ALSO FOUND OUT IVE BEEN GETTING $40 LATE FEE CHARGES EVERY MONTH EVEN THOUGH I PAY ON TIME. Def going to call and look into this.

    I returned a product purchased on Amazon. Instead of a credit another charge was added. Despite several calls to Synchrony their only action was to lock the card supposedly because they learned it was stolen. Not true. Today, upon calling Customer Service they unlock the card but the extra charge vanished. Only explanation: They played in the file while account was locked. I pay my credit card on a per purchase basis. That is, I probably already paid for the extra charge. Even if I did not, in my view, no bank has the right to clear past transactions in our statements. I canceled the card, and probably will cancel the card at Sams Club which also uses the service of that bank. Besides, the website looks like it was designed by a child. Synchrony bank: A business not in sync with customers or modern technology.

    This bank does work out of the rule so The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is the agancy that regulates this bank and investiagates complaint. You can file a conplaint online or mail one to them.

    Worst bank, I was offered a 100 days no interest thru guitar center with the backing of this bank. It was all a lie. I received a full bill with all the interest and not even a month went by. The lies they tell!!!!!

    I HAD A SAVINGS ACCOUNT TO KEEP MY EXTRA FUNDS TO USE FOR FUTURE PROPERTY PURCHASE. WHEN I WANTED TO WITHDRAW MY MONEY IT WAS SUBJECTED TO A DAILY LIMIT WHICH I DID NOT LIKE BUT I WAS OK BECAUSE I COULD GET MORE THE NEXT DAY RIGHT? NO. 4 DAYS LATER, I STILL COULD NOT DO ANOTHER TRANSFER BECAUSE THEY SAID IT WAS NOT COMPLETE ACCORDING TO SYNCHRONY EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY HAD RECEIVED THE INITIAL MONEY. I WAS INFORMED THAT I COULD NOT GET MY MONEY THAT DAY AND THAT THEY COULD NOT TELL ME WHEN BUT USUALLY "3-4 DAYS AFTER THE FIRST TRANSFER WAS INITIATED" AND IT WAS ALREADY 4 DAYS. WHEN I PERSISTED BECAUSE NOW THEY'RE HOLDING MY MONEY HOSTAGE ARBITRARILY AND I MUST HAVE THE MONEY FOR CLOSING IN ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS, THE WOMAN SAID I WAS BEING RUDE TO HER! BOTTOMLINE: DO NOT GET A SAVINGS ACCOUNT WITH SYNCHRONY BANK BECAUSE WHEN YOU WANT IT THERE ARE ARBITRARY AND CAPRICIOUS RULES TO KEEP YOU FROM RIGHTFULLY GETTING YOUR MONEY IN A TIMELY FASHION. BY THE WAY, THE DAILY LOIMIT FOR AN TRANSFER INTO SYNCHRONY IS $1 MILLION DOLLARS! DO NOT FALL FOR THE PROMOTIONS FOR SAVINGS ACCOUNTS WITH THIS BANK.

    This bank provides financing on behalf of Google store. I called customer services, nobody understands English there. I explained my issue a few times, they still didn't get it. Asked me completely different questions in response to my query, in thick Indian accent. One person hung up on me. Calling 3 times now, talking to 3 different people without results. They pulled the wrong credit score for my profile, not sure how that happened. According to them, my Experian score is 100 points lower than my actual score, obtained directly on Experian website on the same day.

    Not a Synchrony Bank location. They need to call it something else. You can't open a savings or CD here for example. Also sounds like reps on phone are in a foreign country.

    Never missed a payment on any of my accounts with this company, but since this COVID-19 outbreak I had to use all of my credit cards more than I like to. So instead of helping during this global event they cut my credit limits on all my accounts. Which dropped my credit score by over 70 points. Now that they did that I don’t qualify for the mortgage for the house I was trying to get. Thank You for the major screwing. Stay away from!!!

    I have Conn's Home plus ( Furniture store). I applied for credit which in turn Synchrony Bank credit card was introduced. These 2 are criminals as best i can say. Synchrony bank give me a $5000 limit, I used about $2500 of it. In least then a year later $800 is my current balance. Synchrony bank lowers your credit limit every 2 months, in turns ruins your credit. As of now my Credit limit is $900 and my balance is $869. They are going to tell you that it's based on a number of things. B.S! They would like for you to stay in debt, no early payouts, no on time payments, no getting ahead improving your credit. This is the worst credit/Bank i have ever dealt with, I know times get hard and you have to do things you don't won't to but please "DO NOT USE SYNCHRONY BANK!" P.S. If you absolutely have to use them. Here are some tools to beat them at their own game. Keep your balance under 20%, 90 days same as cash. They are a predator company beware.

    Very misleading and terrible customer service. I got their CareCard to pay for my dog's vet bill, and I was given all my account info and it told me I was approved. The second I try to use it, it declines. Apparently I have to wait about 2-3 weeks for them to mail me a packet, and for me to mail it back before you can use this card because it will "verify my identity". And they can't even tell me whats in the packet. I've been able to verify identity on financing on my phone, why can't they realize its 2020 and this we have advanced in technology to the point where this doesn't have to happen. If you got this card for an emergency, good luck.

    Avoid this company. They scam anyone who is using them in a financing situation. I set up auto payment and the payments just stopped without notification 3 times over a spread of 6 months. I called about this every time and was told they didn’t see where or how it could have happened and that they could set it up again. So without refund I followed their process over the phone and sure enough I noticed it didn’t come out of my bank account again. I asked for the phone recording of the first call to prove it and they said it didn’t have it. Nor could they provide it. But funny thing is I recorded the last two calls on my end. So I have records of this and will be taking this to a third party to pursue this legally. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this “company”.

    If I could give this company less than a star I would! I have had the worst experience with them. I switched my bank account for payment with them and they continued to take it from the wrong account. It was pulling teeth to get the late fee removed. Then they began to charge me double each month. When I called to have it fixed they said all they could do was take it off the total amount owed, which it was already done by making the extra payment. That was 5 months ago and still being charged double. They keep assuring me it’s fixed. They are awful. Do not use them!!!!

    They will close your account without warning, 5 years no late payment always more than minimum. I just paid in full last week because I had a big purchase to make and that’s when I found out I no longer can use the card! Fortunately I have several cards with them and those balance are pretty much up there, good luck getting that money!!! FO

    Account with them through Lowes was charged 29 late fees for late payment. I was switched to paperless without my permission and never received a paperless bill from them causing 2 late fees. I filed a complaint with The office of the comptroller of the currency . This office regulates Synchrony Bank and got them to reverse the late fees.

    Just like every review here I can't believe Google is stupid enough to have a relationship with this company. I applied when I bought to preorder phones. The payment never went through so I paid for the order in full myself. That order came with 2 free pixel buds. Well as you guessed 3 weeks later Synchrony is trying to charge me for the free headphones. Of course you can't talk to anyone in the dispute department as they only communicate by mail or fax? That should tell you all you need to know about this place. Fraud fraud fraud. Shame on google for having this relationship.

    What do I say that hasn't already been said here? How do you mess up a transaction with Google Store? A company that is offering you as financing? Google Store placed a temp hold on my account last week then the charge today when it was supposed to ship. Do you not know this is what merchants do? No, you put a block on my account and delayed my phone by two weeks. Thanks for nothing amateurs.

    Got a loan through a furniture store, customer service is ridiculously unreliable, be prepared to wait for hours on the phone and the online chat option isn’t any better they just tell you how sorry they are that no one can answer the phone. I work during their business hours and drive an hour to work, I called three days in a row and still haven’t been able to resolve my issue. Don’t use this company.

    Multiple customer service calls to request mailed paper statements. Always verified paper statement activated through conversation. Next day get email confirmation thanking me for going paperless! Of course this is always my fault because they claim I change the designation online. I have never gone online to the Synchrony site without the guidance of a customer service rep. helping with the navigation. If I slip in an errant acceptance of paperless billing click it is because Synchrony designs the site so the customer inadvertently unknowingly makes the change . Heads up; the submit button for this entry on the Synchrony Site says "AMAZING" not submit.

    While checking my credit score today, I saw that my Synchrony Bank credit card (for City Furniture) was closed. I just made my last payment in May 2020. I called to speak with someone in regards to this and was told that they do periodic reviews of people's credit scores and if not up to their standards/guidelines, they automatically close your account. They claim they sent a letter to me, but I must of not received it yet. I asked "So even if I already have an account with you for years, you still check my credit score?" To which the representative responds yes. I also inquired if I could reactivate my account which I was then told no and that I would have to reapply for a new credit card. Utter ridiculousness. I have always paid my bills on time and never had an issue with them prior. Definitely would not recommend Synchrony Bank to anyone.

    if i could give them 0 stars i would!! absolutely terrible banking. financing is a complete joke. i was told when i got my personal loan that i would be able to pay online. unknowingly found out that you must apply for that option in which it takes 4-6 months to be approved. on top of that. i have YET to receive a single bill from them yet when you try to call to pay over the phone you are constantly redirected to an automated system. i’m currently sitting on 4 months worth of payments in my bank account waiting for their bill to arrive. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDS!!!

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS . FRAUD FROM THE BOOK! Art Van had placed a second mirrored transaction on our card in January. We called to get it removed. Was told it would disappear. Five months later it's still pending. Bank is unwilling to remove the fraudulent transaction. Worst costumer service. Also be sure to call and direct your payments if you have deferred interest. They will split it up without telling and you will exceed the timing resulting in huge charges catching you by surprise when it's too late. They will pretend they can't help. But really they are just lazy pushing back on any request trying to squeeze more Dollars out of you. Do not use this Bank !!!

    I have several accounts with this bank. Each time I have paid an account off, they decide to run my credit and close the paid off account which was in good standing, never late and paid off early. The others, they have gone in and lowered my limit. As soon as all of my accounts with them are paid in full, I will be closing every one and never deal with them again. They are a horrible banking institution!!

    This is the worst creditor I've ever delt with. Opened it in an emergency situation. Was given 12 months to pay off balance, after 12 months ALL the interest was added at the end of it. The interest rate is rediculous and I can't get the balance down. I can't get through to anyone who could really help me plus the customer care calls are routed to another country. STAY AWAY from this bank at all costs...

    If this is the same Synchrony Bank that handles all 'Care Credit' cards, then USERS BEWARE. They are shady and don't post anything on website when making payments and they never tell you when calling. For any purchases that they charge interest, they leave those to the very last minute to apply your payment to. So any payments you make, goes toward the balances of promotional purchases first, only, that don't charge interest and they leave the others WITH interest to the very last, so they can keep charging you interest as long as possible. Nobody knows this. Very shady business practices.
