Edit: Owner reached out. Same day. Promised to oversee refund on shipping and will over see what happened in this case. It was appreciated. Maybe one bad apple doesn't ruin the bunch? If you want a nightmare use them and have Angela Varner as the customer service specialist help you. I had a bond broker refer me to this online company. They listed the bond broker as point of contact and shipped the bond to her. Even though they were told to ship to my attorney and the broker was just helping me out with a referral. It gets worse I'm sent to this woman who does nothing but blame FedEx and actually tells me that I will owe her an apology. Yep my mind is blown too. She will not get me a supervisor. She says she's in charge. FedEx didn't know their system error for point of contact. They didn't make up that address. You won't get your bond or any help if you use them. You will be attacked by a big mouth woman on a power trip. Blame FedEx. Not her. They said they would refund my over night shipping The very least that they could do right? For something I didn't receive to where it was supposed to go. refund still hasn't posted. Does anyone know how to get around this thing of a human that they hired for a customer service representative? She yells at you and plays blame game. FedEx didn't just know the address of a referral. She actually told me SHE DOESNT CARE. THEY DONT HAVE OFFICES AND NOTHING THAT I COULD DO. Its insult on injury and this woman doesn't own the company Someone actually hired her to talk to people. She tells them.that they will owe her an apology. She is insane and swears she is top tier No product No customer service A nightmare

I had a horrible time getting a surety bond. The first one the form they sent was all jumbled up. The second one that took 2 days to receive then had the incorrect dates on it. Then they couldn't understand the issue but wanted me to wait to get another form. This has impacted my business by taking over 10 days to get a bond I could get from another vendor in 15 minutes. Go somewhere else and have less issues is my suggestion.

The ONLY reason I’m knocking a star off is because it took THREE whole days to get someone on the phone. However, when I finally did Ta’Neya was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She was so incredibly helpful! We were stressed because our last agency didn’t inform us that our License and Bond was expiring they just reported us to the state… we found surety Bonds direct online, thankfully haven’t had to use them, if we ever find ourself in a position where we do I will be messaging Ta’Neya directly! She was just wonderful! So incredibly kind and efficient, the customer service that she provided is rare and far between. I hope her employer knows what an asset she is to this company!

I very rarely ever leave reviews. I looked around for a 660 bond. And there price was half the cost of everyone else. They are very responsive and fast. I made a mistake on my original bond and reached out to them a month later. I spoke with Melissa on the phone and explained to her my situation and she said ok no problem we will take care of it. I asked how long it would take and she said 24 to 48 hours. I said ok and within less then an hour I had it in my email. This is just Amazing. If you need a bond don’t look anywhere else because if you do you will regret it. I will recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you for doing an Amazing job from start to finish.

Yeah they're the cheapest, but for the reason they try to charge you for fixing THEIR mistakes. Just spend the extra money to get it right elsewhere. They put the wrong name on mine first then they needed to fix my address and was told I'd have it by the end of the day and I don't. The first lady I talked to was so rude and hateful.

I bought a bond to register a motorcycle id purchased. The bond came but I also was given the title because the owner managed to find it. Great right? Now it’s time to get a refund for the bond since I didn’t use it or need it. I contacted them In the first week of April. They promised to refund me but couldn’t for a few days because “the system is down”. Well here I am on April 28th without so much as a update. For a company to be entirely based online to have their systems go down to the extent they can’t issue refunds, means they will either be bankrupt from lack of business soon or something fishy is going on. I honestly think that they don’t want to refund me so they’re claiming to be unable to. You can respond to my email but your entire system is down. Makes sense lol. *heavy sarcasm in the last sentence or two.”

Been calling and emailing for days. No one will return my call or answer the phone, and I still don't have my bond. I was told an original was mailed, but still haven't received it. At this point the bond is going to be useless by the time I get it!

AVOID: potential fraud, overcharge, ignores email I worked with a Senior Bond Specialist. The quoted price was good and the online ratings were mostly good so I decided to move forward. When he sent the paperwork to sign, it had a different client's name on it and a wrong bond start date. I pointed out the error and asked him to resend the documents. He resent them with the name and date corrected, and I signed and returned them. When I was notified of my bond, the start date was incorrect; it was dated two weeks in the past so I would have paid for bond coverage I never received. I immediately emailed requesting they revise it. Initial response was a polite form of live with it. The error was less than $100, but it wasn't my error. When I insisted they correct it, they said they would. Not hearing back, I followed up again, and again, and again. They replied it would be difficult to get the bond changed, but they'd try. Still no further action; I followed up again. He then merged the signature page from the actual bond application with the details page for the first, incorrect application, which I had refused to sign. He emailed that to me as "proof" I had requested the earlier date. Fortunately, I have all the emails and forwarded them to him to show that stunt wouldn’t work. I included the email in which I requested a new contract because of the errors, and the email with the actual contract I signed. I'm dismayed the company falsified an application by combining a signature from a different document. That seems like fraud to me. Finally, I suggested they just credit my card for the error amount. He said he'd do that immediately, and it would be on my card next week (it was Friday). A week came and went, then two. I followed up again; no response. Then again; he said he'd check on it and get back to me right away. No response. I followed up again, and was told the credit was issued. It still didn't appear on my card. I followed up again and was told the credit would be issued. Still no credit. Today, I sent my 20th email trying to get this bond properly in place and resolve this issue. He replied this evening that he’d check on it and get back to me. Still, today, Surety Bonds Direct has not corrected the issue and appears to be making no effort to do so. I have been more than patient with this situation. In return, I have been put off continually and had much of my time wasted, but I'm confident that is their strategy. I won't just throw up my hands. And I want other to know this is the way they operate. Update: After filing a complaint with the BBB, I was contacted immediately by the managing partner who informed me of the status, saw through the resolution, and apologized. He listened to my concerns and acknowledged the failures without excuses. Had anything like this been done before I filed the complaint, I would have regarded the experience as a positive one despite the errors. As a result of the eventual contact and resolution from the company, I am increasing the rating from 1 star to 2 stars. I cannot honestly suggest using this company because it literally took 20 emails, over a month, a negative review, and a BBB complaint to get a resolution, but they did finally resolve the matter so I am upgrading the rating accordingly.

I will say that I was a little unclear on the delivery process of my bond (after purchase), but nonetheless when I hadn't yet received it- while I was actually at the MVD trying to complete my title process- I called the specialist somewhat desperately and learned that it sometimes takes a couple of days to complete. Yet without hesitation, the agent contacted their department and had it expedited for completion and I received the email within less than a few minutes. It was such a huge relief and ever so very appreciated.

Purchased a title bond and received the confirmation email April 15 at 8:40 am, next day I email (April 16 11:35 am) them asking for an update as I have not been told if I need more documents or If It was being processed already. I email then again(April 16 9:15 pm) as I had not been contacted yet whatsoever. (April 17 6:39 AM) They sent me an email again confirming my purchase and saying I need to send them the letter of confirmation. I replied to them with the photo of the letter attached (April 17 9:04 AM) and sent them a separate email of the document again that day at 11:26am. Finally received the title bond April 19 at 7:56 AM. This company is by far the best price wise but they sure took their time to reply to me, tell what document was needed and after that a couple extra days for the actual bond. If you need the title bond same day or next day you should go somewhere else.

Fair pricing but … company failed to forward me the actual bond for Oregon CCB at time of purchase. They also did NOT forward bond to State. Upon calling, their Rep states they don’t do this for Oregon. Every other Bond agency I have used in the past automatically submits. Frustrating to say the least. They have been good at returning my phone calls.

It is a waste of money, they are unbelievable slow! They misspelled my name twice, even I sent an email, not just spelling over the phone, and they took 6 weeks to do a name change and issue a simple rider. I had to go to another company to buy a brand new bond because they made me run out of time. The new provider was done in 20 minutes. They never refunded me.

service was quick and efficient but my state would not accept the bond from them because it was in pdf form. Reached out and heard nothing back from the company and out the bond money. Update I finally spoke to someone from the state regarding the issue and they made the error regarding the correspondence. It was the lack of response on both ends that was frustrating. Surety did take care of the matter

Purchased a bond with Surety Bonds Direct, I mistakenly got wrong amount of bond, been trying for last 3 weeks to get it corrected, filled out paperwork for correction of bond, been calling and calling leaving messages. Won't answer line for all ready purchased bonds, won't return my calls, didn't respond to filled out form, just no communication on their part at all. Good price but bad service... 😔.

I paid for my bond on Friday April 16th, got an email the following Monday to sign my bond and I did that and sent it back Tuesday morning the 20th. I called and sent emails with no response since then. I don’t think it’s asking to much for communication and I’m highly disappointed in this experience.
