Sunset Finance N Columbia St, Milledgeville

I took a loan out with them in 2018 due to some unexpected expenses, payments were made, etc. I get 1 month behind and they have the audacity to contact my various references and actually them my personal business with them and pretend to be a lawfirm. I reported them to the BBB and asked REPEATEDLY to have contact with the person over Robin and April, they have continuously refused. They are completely unprofessional and ridiculous, they even lied in their responses to the BBB, which continues to have an ongoing case. Someone needs to seriously go in and investigate them. It is scary to think they if they had no concerns sharing my private information to people, who else have they done this too?

Stop lying to customers! So i wanted to know terms and conditions about loans with this company. I asked questions that anyone doing a loan could generally answer. Like what do you need? I explained i didn't want my credit pulled if I was not going to qualify. Also because of the amount I was sure if I even wanted the loan. I was told by 2 people at this office it was going to be a soft pull (meaning it would not affect my credit) This was a lie. Things companies know! What they are looking for and what they will not accept! IF YOU KNOW YOU WILL NOT TAKE CAR TITLE UNDER CERTAIN YEARS THAT IS SOMETHING YOU CAN TELL YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. IF YOUR SCORE NEEDS TO BE WITHIN A CERTAIN RANGE SOMETHING YOU SHOULD TELL YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. No one likes to be lied to. Or even taken advantage of. Just this alone keep your company with bad word of mouth reviews!

Very friendly, never had a problem with these ladies. I am always approved for a loan with them and will continue to use them in the future:)

I am not sure why the reviews are one star on this company in Milledgeville. They have been nothing but helpful to me and several of my family members. I absolutely love going in there to file taxes with these ladies. They are fast and they care about getting you everything you are supposed to get back. The advance is super fast as well. I have never gotten a loan from them because I do not qualify. All you have to do is ask them questions and they will help with whatever you need. And if they don't have the answer they will find it for you! I would give 10 stars if it would let me!

Wow, almost 750.00 to do taxes....What a rip off. You don't even inform your customers what there charge is gonna be. Given the run around every time you ask how much they were charging. I was told 49.00 and then 99.00. And when all is said and done I paid almost half of what my advance was. I will never make this mistake again. These finance companies take advantage of people down on their luck....Also was told that it would boost my credit score. HAHA, will see. I will be doing my own taxes on Turbo like I have done in the past. To the management, you certainly train your people well. TOTALLY BLINDSIDED by the practices of this company....WOW just WOW!!!

Done business with this company for 5 years always paid on time got down on our luck and couldn't make a payment till the 3rd of the next month and when they called the person was very rude and it come down to us telling them we couldn't eat that payment we had to have food they said well you can buy ramen noodles heck we were actually only eating ramen $0.20 a pack so once we pay them off never again will we do any type of business with them
