Went to open 3 NEW accounts during the lunch hour today. Risky, I know! I was BEYOND IMPRESSED by the attention, thoroughness, patience, and amazing customer service I received from Paula at the Market Street location. I highly recommend Summit Credit Union and Paula for ALL of your banking/financial needs!

Heather Harvey one of the member services representatives went over and beyond with her customer service. I went in to join Summit Credit Union and although I was not able to join because I needed more documentation (just moved from Florida), nevertheless she went over and beyond and explain to me the process and the steps to become a member. She also explained all the benefits that the bank has to offer. I will recommend this bank to anyone. Ask for Heather. Great first impression!!!

It was a pleasure to be assisted by Ms. Maria Sandoval, this morning. She was able to understand the reason for my call asked appropriate questions and entered information as agreed to correctly. She was knowledgeable of the process needed and followed through immediately. She was EXTREMELY PATIENT on giving me much needed time to locate areas needed on the internet in order to get into the e-DocuSign sight with my password as well as showing patience when I had to sign and send. Additionally she graciously answered an additionally question. I felt embarrassed but she gave me positive verbal support. After hesitating to call Summit Credit Union, I learned that my question was important enough to offer me needed encouragement and assistance. My job hosted A Taste of Reality Fair through Summit Credit Union a few years ago and it was the absolute best financial literacy seminar I've ever attended. I volunteered as my children participated. It was set up to teach youth between the ages of 13 and 22 what a month in the shoes of an adult could look like. BEST. IDEA. EVER!!! Each participant received a profile when they arrived (their jobs and household income, whether they were married or not, everyone had at least one child, etc). There were several tables (there are rooms in Zoom, I think) set up that represented everything from The Credit Union, to housing options, transportation options, childcare options, clothing, grocery, entertainment, etc. Based on their budgets, each person maneuvers life for the month with the goal of not overspending and ideally saving a few dollars. Halfway through an unexpected expense arises and throws the budget out of wack. They had to move funds around, figure out what was necessary and what wasn't in order to keep things functioning. I made my children attend the fair before I gave them debit cards. My children and I loved it. Years later some of what they learned still makes a difference in how they spend money....both mine and what they earn themselves. I am soooooo grateful for Summit Credit Union and the Taste of Reality Fair. Such a fun but useful tool that can encourage healthy financial habits for years and years to come. If you ever have a chance to register your child to participate in one and watch them.....do it. You won't regret it!
