Stewart Title - Winnemucca Branch S Bridge St, Winnemucca

Had a simple closing. All cash, no inspections and no encumbrances with no problems. They did 2 timeline extensions. The preliminary title report was NOT done in a timely manner because they were "too busy". Took 7 weeks to close. Didn't return telephone calls. We were told late in the process they were running 3 to 4 weeks behind. Never bothered to tell us in the beginning! Final documents had several major errors that needed to be fixed prior to final closing. Also, told just prior to closing there was an additional expense for a Notary. I said "Hell NO"! We went to one of the Stewart Title Company offices in Reno where they fixed everything in a very professional manner without additional expenses. NEVER use the Winnemucca office! If there was a "0" rating I would give that!

Steve and the team at Stewart Title are true professionals. Always timely, responsive and accommodating. I would not hesitate to use their services every chance I get! Thank you Steve for all the hard work you put in to get things done on time !!!

Anytime I have called this office to ask for assistance or help they have always been a pleasure to work with and are always on the phone with an answer. I have been dealing with Stewart Title, formerly known as Western Title, for two years and I have never had any issues with their staff, their office, or they way they conduct business.

We ran into a problem with the title. We did everything that Western Title told us to do to correct it. Then at the last minute when everyone was getting ready to sign so escrow could close, they informed everyone that they could not insure the title. We had to switch to a different title company, which delayed closing for another week. We will NEVER use Western Title again. UPDATE...Shortly after posting this review, a manager from the Reno office emailed me to say that this is not their standard of service and the manager of the Winnemucca branch would be contacting me soon to "make it right." There is nothing that can be done to "make it right" at this point. And of course the Winnemucca branch manager never contacted me. No surprise there.

Worst Closing Experience... They didn't do their job... Messed up on my closing (which I found out months later). Then had the nerve to Yell at me that they did their job and to call the lender. Worthless Closing company... Take your business else where. If I could give them zero stars I would.

THIS IS THE WORSE title company I have EVER worked with and I have worked with a LOT. They messed up the docs 3 times and I had to ask for things to be corrected. They are NOT able to confirm their own work and make horrible assumptions about people. I sat here waiting and waiting for information and no one ever called. I called them multiple times asking for updates and 3 weeks into us being in escrow they had never even started work on my deal. They RUSHED it so fast everything was wrong. EVERYTHING! They finally sent me docs and after I returned them they called me and RUDELY said that I did not include a closing check...I would like it to be known that they NEVER TOLD ME WE WERE closing and I sat here waiting to be called and booked for a time to close escrow. That never happen....just a RUDE phone call that I messed up. They took NO responsibility for the ZERO communication that happen on their end and were just RUDE to me at every turn. I HATE this title company and will make sure in all future deals that I REFUSE to work with them. I DO NOT recommend them at all.

This is the worst title company you could use. Many errors on our recorded documents, poor customer service, will not call you back, manager Steve had the nerve to tell me to get off his back when he did not make a wire transfer after recorded lien against our property loan had been funded 2p.m. day before, still waiting! Just had not gotten to it. Then hung up on me. Basically did not wire money that was due. . After a lien against our property had happen and change of ownership. Hell no I am seeking damages

When we bought our home Steve and his team did everything to make the process as easy as possible. They were polite, answered our questions and were very professional. I would recommend using him. Thank you..

I have worked with Steve and his staff for the past two years. They are very responsive, professional, and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Stewart Title.

Mistakes are their trademark in Winnemucca. If you are looking for non returned phone calls, your money to be released without recorded deeds, and worse this is the place.. not rookie of the year but still a rookie after years.... also a great place to ;ook for the worst receptionist in Winnemucca.
