We've been buying vehicles for 23 years. I have never been as impressed with any dealer as much as I was with Riverton. Jacob and Rachel are AMAZING to work with. Casey was great today!! Very informative, polite, and professional. Easy to work with and quick too! This was November 2021. UPDATE: I had to take my car in for a warranty thing. As far as the service went it was good. The fact I was basically told twice in 2 days that my vehicle was not there is ridiculous. The first time I do understand in a lack of communication between departments but then I was told that I had already picked up my car when I called to ask when it would be done. Needless to say I will not be returning unless it is specifically a warranty issue. This was February 2022.

Buying a car is usually a headache and stressful. We have bought many vehicles in the past, and we were dreading going to the dealership. Casey Pharis helped us, and it was anything but stressful. I purchased a CPO Tahoe from Riverton in May 2022 and worked with George and Jacob. I cannot say enough positive things about them and this dealer - and I am not generally a fan of car dealerships. I made this purchase as an out-of-state buyer (which ended up being a very smooth process - Riverton knew exactly how to handle all the paperwork). When I first attempted to pick up the vehicle, there was a major issue with the Tahoe (something beyond Riverton's control). However, the folks at Riverton did EVERYTHING they could to make it right, and were extremely professional in their handling of the whole situation. They followed through with every promise. In the end, I feel like I got a great vehicle at a fair price. If/when I'm in the market for another vehicle, I would happily purchase from Riverton again.

Had a good experience with the service department. They took a little longer than hoped but they took time to get the right piece in for my truck. Overall I thought the staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

The staff has no idea what is going on. One minute the issue is warranty the next it is $650 to fix. Then when asked it is warranty. Not to mention the major inconvenience of having to take my vehicle back in to get fix under the warranty. Highly dissatisfied.

Your pricing for services in your shop are way too expensive. I really like Riverton and I don't mind helping pay the light bill but I shouldn't have to pay the entire light bill with one transmission flush.

This was the best experience! I am a 1st time buyer and I was very nervous. I didn't want to get hounded or pressured into something I didn't want or need. I had the great honor to work with Casey. They where understanding, very nice and helpful. They worked with us to get the loan and better interest rate. The things I would have like to seen is to give the customer a full tank of gas. 2nd to make sure there is a owners manual and explain how some of the things work. To tell them if there are any problems with the new or used vehicle. This would increase your cost, but it would bring customers back and more word of mouth customers. Scheduled my appointment. For 830 am dropped of my truck for a check engine light. Stopped back in at 130 to find out how my truck was going. Was told that they had to keep my truck over the weekend to finish the warranty work. Which was a replacing the fuel evap canister vent. Why did I have to schedule the visit if they didn't start off with the diagnosis of my truck. So I would know ahead of time what was going on. If you had other work going on what is the point of having those times available. Plus there was no phone call. Do not recommend using there service department

I would recommend not taking your vehicle to this dealership and avoid at all costs. You can take it in for the simplest thing and they will tell you everything looks good but then you get stranded somewhere because of something they said was “good.” Gene the service manager is no help, he will look at the issue and then tell you “we will use this as a learning opportunity.” So in the end, their mistake is left at your expense. They told me my battery was “100%” and then come to find out it’s completely corroded. This is the dealership that I bought the car from and just expected better customer service. You know, I’m not here for a hand out, just wanting to address an issue that I had and Gene was rude and not concerned about the issue I had and then tried to make me look dumb as if they did nothing wrong. If I wanted crappy service I would have taken it down the street, but as the dealership, I hope and trust that they are better than that and thorough with their inspections. Why would I pay hundreds to have work done here by then if they can’t even take care of the little stuff. The service manager does not care about customer satisfaction.

Michael Gerrits was my salesman, he was very professional, knowledgeable, and was the first one out on the lot eager to help us. He was extremely patient with my son and I, and had great customer service skills all the way around. Rachel, in finance, was extremely helpful and professional while making sure I had the best deal that fit into my budget. All around my experience with Riverton was a great one. It was so nice buying local for the first time. Will definitely be back.

We drove over 4 hours to pickup a 2021 Trail Boss here. Custom ordered. Their reservation/down payment fee for ordered trucks is 5x less than anywhere else in N NV. Staff was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Special thanks to George for having good communication throughout and going the extra mile!

Great service we found out my wife’s vehicle was a total loss from an accident she was in, that very same day we found a new vehicle on Riverton’s lot she had to have, the sales and service team had us out the door that evening with her new Tahoe and she loves it can’t thank them enough for their quick service thank you Riverton Chevrolet in Elko you have my business from here on out!!!

Have patience, it is worth it in the end. This place was so busy on Black Friday but we had every intent on getting a newer vehicle. Love the customer service, everyone was very nice. Did not set my TPMS sensor like I asked. Was told it can’t be done, which is a lie. I asked the service department to set the tire psi at the minimum pressure to prevent the TPMS sensor lights for coming on. Tires were set to max inflation. I had to correct the issue myself. And now will have to take my truck elsewhere to set the sensors at a lower psi threshold. I spoke to someone in service prior to my scheduled appointment and was assured there would be no issue doing what I asked. Staff was kind and courteous

Mike , Bill and the rest of the guys made this car buying experience easy and enjoyable. We pulled in and they came out we told them what we want and what I wanted for my trade in. We got everything we wanted with no problems and the deal was done in the fastest time I’ve ever bought a new car and I’ve purchased a few in my 64 years. We took in our GMC Denali duramax to get a service bulletin done on it. Truck went in in perfect condition. When we got the truck back it had blue paint off the lift and a dent on drivers side front fender. The service MGR said she was 100% sure it didn’t happen there as you can clearly tell the blue pair came off the lift. I am disappointed in the way it was handled. Would definitely check your vehicle before and after any service at this dealership. As a loyal GMC customer I am disappointed in this dealership’s service center.

I don't think they want to sell any vehicles. I went to buy a truck and they tried to low ball me with my trade in and wouldn't negotiate on the used truck I was looking at. The truck sat on the lot at least a month. I think it still there. I'm going to twin falls to spend my $50,000. I would even consider them after that. They could have had a costumer for life but they chose to lose a costumer for life instead. And I make sure to tell my friends don't waste your time. Go to Idaho or Utah

Unprofessional. Used car had trash and paperwork still inside it from previous owner. The battery died while on a test drive. They gave me the runaround when trying to explain why the backup camera wasn’t working, saying it had something to do with the battery dying... They said they would have to schedule an appointment at elko motors a few weeks out to get some of the stuff fixed. It was obvious they were trying to flip this trade-in as soon as possible. They didn’t take the time to make sure it was ready to be listed.

Contacted George through online sales Thursday night and he promptly responded Friday morning. When I arrived I was greeted by Jacob. Jacob was super helpful amd super friendly. Went on an awesome test drive them started paperwork once we returned. Buying process was super simple and fairly quick. Left with the car of my dreams! Thanks riverton team!

We recently leased a Yukon XL from Riverton, Elko. I was lucky enough to work with Lisandro Rodrigues. He was phenomenal! He is nothing like the regular pushy car salesman. Most salesman rub me the wrong way and I am immediately turned off. Lisandro was patient, kind, and genuine. If he didn't know an answer to something he would find out and get right back to me, not pretend he knew and make it up on the fly. He followed up with me outside of his regular work schedule to make sure things were moving smoothly and I couldn't be more appreciative. If you are in the market for a new car call Lisandro. He will take care of you!

Took car in to get a new ecm program done and installed. The car was returned and would not stay running and died multiple times on the way home. The state of the car was far worse then when it was brought in for service. I will never use the service at riverton again and warn everyone else not to come here

Glad to have my truck looked at the wait was a tad long but as far as service goes the staff were extremely friendly and the shop was nice and clean well taken care of

I happened to visit the Riverton Elko website and saw a truck in transit that I wanted. I called and spoke with CK and told him I would like to come buy it the next day or the day after. He assured me that it was mine. I came in and CK had everything ready. Rachel discussed the various extended warranties with me and we completed the financial portion. She was very proficient in her job and efficient in how she did it. The truck was delivered to my house yesterday. The driver was very friendly and courteous. All around, a great experience. Friendly for sure, however I feel unsatisfied with the lack of help trying to get financing on a vehicle. There was no going out of the way to help out and make sure we were happy customers. I don't feel that this is a dealership I would recommend. Based solely on the help received.

I received help from Casey Pharis when I had called in originally, turns out the online system wasn’t working properly. I was coming into Elko from out of town and was in a bind, needing a vehicle. Casey went above and beyond when assisting me. One of the best Sales Representatives I have ever dealt with. He ran numbers without hesitation, went through every possibility within my price range. He attempted to give me the best deal he could. Not only did he give me a good deal with what I had at the time financially, but he also was able to go through the vehicles he had the best he could while allowing me to take time looking through them. He did not rush me, did not try and push any vehicle on me, and did take time going back and forth getting vehicles for me to look at without getting annoyed or hesitating. Rachel (Finance Manager and Assistant Sales Manager) did a great job getting with the banks and getting numbers for me in a very fast and timely manner ON A SATURDAY. Getting anything done on a Saturday at a Business has ALWAYS been a Battle for me to get anything done on a Weekend at a business with these types of services. They were able to get my new vehicle detailed AND had auto body work done same day! These two were very on top of their game.
