Today I visited this branch and was treated with the greatest professionalism kindness and respect..After doing my usual bank business I Requested a bank secured credit card.. Angie the bank teller was incredible in helping me with all of my questions to this process. Angie is a great asset to your bank and you are lucky to have her.. Her professionalism made it an absolute joy to be a bank member.. Thank you again Angie for all your dedication hard work and professionalism.

Space Coast Credit Union does have its benefits such as free checking, free savings, no closing costs mortgages, mortgages wont get sold to other companies for profit, and you usually get direct deposits 1-2 days before regular banks. The flaws that Space Coast Credit Union has are that they use very old technology, their website layout is very old/basic, they dont have as many ATM's as the big banks, if you travel out of South Florida or the East Coast of Florida they are non existent in the western areas of Florida like Fort Myers, Orlando, Tampa, etc. The reason that I gave them a 2/5 score is because of a recent negative experience with the bank. I was going to buy a new truck from an AutoNation Toyota dealership that’s 130 miles away from my house because they offered me the truck for $2,000 less than all my local dealerships and I wanted to pay cash. The salesperson at the dealership told me to call my bank to ask them to lift the spending limits on my account so that the transaction doesn’t get declined when I try to pay for the truck so I called SCCU the day before to ask them if they could lift the limit on my debit card ($10,000 is the limit on debit card transactions at SCCU) but they said that nobody has the authority to do that at the bank but the dealership should be able to accept a check as payment so I took their word for it and drove the next day to purchase the vehicle with a paper check. After listening to the dealership trying to upsell me on accessories, repeatedly denying their extras, test driving the vehicle, inspecting it, signing all the paperwork, etc when we got to the part where I was going to pay with the check as advised by Space Coast Credit Union the transaction got declined by the bank when the dealership tried to run it through the electronic check machine… I was totally surprised because I called them the day before to make sure that there would be no problems and the told me that I could pay with a check and not have any problems and the money was in my bank account. I called Space Coast Credit Union over the phone to ask why the transaction got declined only to find out that the bank cant process electronic check (e-check) transactions and would only allow me to purchase the vehicle with a paper check which takes up to 7 days to clear, the dealership said that they don’t accept paper checks because of scammers who withdraw the money before the check clears and that I wouldn’t be able to leave with the truck (after I drove 130 miles in each direction to get to the dealership) unless we could figure out another payment method. The operator that we spoke to over the phone while I was at the dealership said that she wouldn’t be able to lift the $10,000 debit card transaction limit either so we asked if we could process the payment as an ACH transfer or as a wire transfer with the phone operator from Space Coast Credit Union but the operator didn’t know how to process those transactions over the phone and said that it was not possible to do it over the phone. The phone operator kept me on hold for over an hour and kept putting me on hold before we gave up because the dealership was past their business hours so I told the dealership that I would drive back home (130 miles away) and come next week with a Cashier’s Check to purchase the truck. I had to make two trips (260 miles each trip) because Space Coast Credit Union wouldn’t process electronic check transactions to purchase my truck at an AutoNation car dealership. I was so mad, the bank made me waste the whole first day at the dealership and made me make a huge trip to waste my time because they couldnt pull through when I needed them. I wouldnt trust this bank when you need them most they will just say that there is nothing that they can do over the phone and leave you out to dry. Go with one of the big banks instead that has branches everywhere in case you need to visit a branch in an emergency and cant drive too far away.

I have always had great service in the drive thru window however. Frequently the ATM at drive thru does not dispense cash there is never anyone at the entrance for member services to ask questions at front desk and the coin counter has been out of order for months now.

Space coast credit union at hialeah gardens has the worst crew. I've been banking with them for years but the employees at this new branch are very rude and inexperienced

Everytime I go to this branch they treat me with courtesy. I love space coast !

I’ve been banking with them since I was 18 years old and they were Eastern Financial. It’s the first time in almost 20 years that I’m seriously considering switching banks. Not even is there Drive-thru open and they expect me to drive 20 miles to a different branch. Unacceptable

Bank is in a great location; unfortunately doesn't have enough tellers to make it more efficient, having just the drive thru open on Saturdays makes it also hard for patrons to get in and out with simple transactions. No banking matters during weekends for sure

I'vebeen here for years even before they became Space Coast Credit Union and I LOVE THEM. I'veeven been trying to apply, thats how much I Love My Bank !!! Signing my man up to have an account at SCCU also.

IT SUCKS. THEY TAKE FOREVER AND YOU CAN'T MAKE A DEPOSIT AFTER HOURS. I JUST OPENED AN ACCOUNT AND WILL BE CLOSING IT.

Worst place ever. Drive thru it's bad. Had to wait in line more that 30 minutes with only 3 cars in front.
