My dying father brought me in to this bank to put me on his checking account to prepare for his financial needs following his death. He asked if I would have access to his account if anything happened to him. We were told yes. Upon his death the bank locked the account and angrily told me they have the right to take all of the money. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!

If you haven't looked anywhere for your banking needs first, DON'T START HERE if at all possible. If you've looked all over town for a place to open your account/car loan/refi/mortgage/whatever and have had no luck, this is where you may end up. Assume that it's because you have terrible credit and high amounts of debt or other maladies the typical lender or financial institution tend to shy away from. You can expect the following while working with SWMCFCU - A crippled bill pay system. - Online banking designed by eight year old. - Tellers frequently withdraw/deposit into incorrect accounts. - Loan officers that are condescending. - A misogynist branch "president". - All women staff except said branch "president". - Higher rates than local competitors. - Mobile banking app designed by same 8 year old. - Firstborn child required for down payment on loans. And lately? Anything that WAS good about online banking has been broken by aforementioned 8 year old. You used to be able to use a third party website to at least view your accounts at a glance. Now even that has stopped working because of their draconian security measures that were basically implemented because of poor website security. In a nutshell, you will gain a lifetime of experiences banking here, very bad experiences.

I have been a member here for 10 15 years called for loan quote was told 5.5 or if I could find it cheaper get it in writing bring it back and they might be able to come down,?why if I'm a member am I not given the best quote up front?called the credit union couple blocks down almost a point less and I'm not even a member,definitely going to be banking some where else that appreciates its members,use caution and call around a little before you get a loan!!!

The site says they close at 5:30. Was there at 5:20 and the door were locked.

Been a member for many years. Sent a correctly filled out check to pay a monthly phone bill, Check was stolen, and cashed at another banking institution without being endorsed. SWMFCU paid the other institution even though check was not endorsed. When I learned of this by receiving a late bill from the phone company the CEO of SWMFCU decided that the $50 stolen from my account was too small a sum of money for SWMFCU to pursue. Will be closing my account ASAP, since I feel that ANY amount of money being stolen from a member should worth their time and effort to recover.

I love my girls at the credit union! A great place to bank. I highly recommend this buisness!
