Southwest Heritage Credit Union John Ben Shepperd Pkwy, Odessa

Extremely rude and condescending, refused to even help me and my grandmother, despite being members there at the time. The loan manager didn’t even process our application and then insisted I leave and kept accusing me of elder abuse, and telling my grandmother she didn’t have to do anything she didn’t want too. Despite, the fact my grandmother was telling her and then yelling at her that she wasn’t being made to do anything she didn’t want to. So the loan manager just flat out told us she wasn’t going to process anything and that she didn’t feel comfortable, so she asked us to leave. All this for a small loan that was going to be used to pay off debt and start building credit.

I just want to say I love this bank! And I love the fact that the drive thru opens at 7:30 you guys are life savers because what other credit union opens that early?! The employees here are wonderful and the service is always so fast!

This is one of the few places, aside from the payday or check cashing places, that charge a fee to cash a check. The ironic part of it is that they charge a fee to cash a check written by one of their members. They disguise the fees as a "cost of doing business" yet other legitimate banking institutions don't charge for this type of service. I am usually big on credit unions versus big banks and will always choose a credit union but not in this case. I don't recommend this place at all, take your money elsewhere.

I moved here from Austin to open a construction company and decided to try and keep my money in a local credit union. I considered using this credit union and noticed that two of their locations are in cramped spaces with horrible parking. Upon walking in I was received in a rude manner and the biggest turnoff was all the fees they charge leaving me to question as to why anyone would consider using this place.

After a year of banking with them and depositing my checks they put a two day hold on my Christmas bonus... really... a poor man not allowed to get a little extra... what gives

Debit card took nearly a month to come in the mail!! Finally received it another issue occurs. I cannot activate it because my number does not match what’s on file. I go up to the bank tell them what’s going on give them my number they tell me that’s the number they have. Then why tf can I not activate my damn debit card!!!! Makes no damn sense……

Extremely rude and unprofessional! I was depositing a large insurance check at their parkway branch. The young man at the counter told me that they couldn't deposit the money into my checking account but instead that it would go into my savings. I told him that that really doesn't make any sense. He went to speak to a lady named 'Norma' to see if they could deposit the check into my checking instead of my savings. He came back and told me that that was the policy and there was nothing he could do. I asked him how moving my money around like this was a benefit to me as a customer and that was when Norma butted into the conversation and told me that I was "lucky that I only had to wait 3 days for my money and not 7". This was totally out of left field. I never, once, complained about the fact that there would be a delay on the deposit but, I guess, that is what Norma assumed the issue was because she made the "I was lucky I only have to wait 3 days and not 7" threat several more times. After I got my deposit slip, I spoke with who they said was the manager who was less helpful than Norma. All she did was argue with me that what Norma was saying wasn't a threat to make me wait longer for my deposit to go through but that she was sorry I saw it that way. It was appalling! As soon as I can I'm closing my accounts and moving my money to Complex Community Federal Credit Union. I hear that they are extremely polite and professional. Now the best word I can use to describe Southwest Heritage Credit Union on Parkway in Odessa is.... Ghetto. Ghetto people. Ghetto attitude towards customers. Ghetto inside and out. Take your money to CCFCU!!!Trust.

The manager at south west heritage on JBS pkwy was very rude and unprofessional,She had no intention on helping me with my issue she needs to be under review considering how she treats the members of the credit union that have been there for years !!!!!!!definitely considering going to first basin or another local bank with more professional people.

Criminals. Just like in 2008 with Mortgage crisis. Don't ever defer a payment. Especially if they tell you it's in your best interest make the payment anyway. Go to a loan shark at least then you know what you are getting into.

Worst so called credit union ever!!! This place is worst than a payday loan place. If you're late a couple of days Karen starts harassing you to there so called attorney in which they cannot call you to work once you tell them not to... I wouldn't even consider putting my money into this bank.. Go somewhere else!!!!!!
