I had a great experience at the bank I was greeted once I walked inside the bank and provided excellent service by Sandra over-the-counter

I would not bank here if the money was free. I own and operate 3 businesses in the area and have been shopping banks. I stopped in to cash a check made to me for $9000, ( no problem there) , and asked to speak to someone about opening an account. Lisa, the person I was being directed to , did not seem very interested in helping me. As I started walking towards her office, she quipped rather abruptly " I will be with you shortly, I am finishing something ". To which I responded, no problem, please take your time. She ran through a pamphlet quickly and began to outline all of the scams people have been perpetrating on banks since covid started, and how long their holds were on any items I would be depositing. I suppose this would part of the standard run down, but it became quite redundant to the point where I felt it necessary to explain that I had been banking for a while, and was aware of most banking policies and procedures. All and all I felt like I was inconveniencing her and felt very uncomfortable. My companies are all construction related, and perhaps the fact that I looked a little disheveled and not wearing a suit did not bear well for me. The latter of course is conjecture. Needless to say, I was a little disappointed.

LOGAN AT THIS BRANCH IS THE BEST!!! SHE IS ALWAYS FAMILIAR AND COURTEOUS WITH ALL CUSTOMERS. SHE IS DEFINTIELY A FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK FOR THE TEAM!!!! GREAT TEAM AND LOCATION ALL AROUND!

South State on east butler is a great branch. Holly is always helpful and informative to our banking needs. The lobby and staff are warm and courteous. We love doing business with this branch!

I am not please with my visit at South State Bank. I took my mother into the bank and the branch manager, Lisa, seemed to be very confused on how to help us. She had to call someone else to get information on how to process our paper work. How does a branch manager not know how to process paperwork for a loan.
