Out of date credit union. Been waiting over 3 weeks for my replacement debit card. I called today only to find out it was never ordered. Also my initial visit wasn't great either. Even though the woman helping me informed me the chip malfunction was happening to many. The bank manager grabbed my card from the tellers hand and was rudely telling me my card was not in the best shape. The area where chip was flawless with barley a scratch. She then proceeded to threaten too charge me for a new one. I will be taking my business elsewhere soon. UPDATE/ I was contacted by some sort of operations manager and he was helpful and very apologetic. I finally received my card two days ago. Well over a month and a half. I am increasing my stars to 3 for Michael's efforts.

I had my debit card compromised and was unsure of the legitimacy of the email I received. I emailed the credit union and Katy immediately responded and helped me through the process. Excellent customer service!

The cashier seems to have problems focusing her eyes and remembering what was said twenty seconds after I said it. I thought she was going to go to sleep standing at the counter. I wanted to cash a check for four hundred dollars and receive two hundred dollar coins to give out for Christmas presents but she convinced me to withdrawal the money from my account because it was easier to do. Sometimes a lack of customer service can be outright hilarious.

Great place to get car loans refinanced. Definitely will come back speak with hans larsen or Kathy and they will take great care of you and get you the loan you deserve.

I went here about 3:30pm on a Friday to open an account. I was told to come back next Thursday! The employee was very obviously annoyed with my attempt. Said she can't do that now?? Will not go back on Thursday lol I felt like an inconvenience. It was a wholly unpleasant experience.

Horrible customer service, tried to get a loan with my fiancee my credit score was 744 his a little under 600. Kathy ran my credit twice knowing she didn't have all the information she needed making it drop points both time. To top off she denied us. He went to Educators and got the loan by himself. Your bad move Kathy!

I have been a member for a while and their service keeps getting worse ever time I go. In drive thru I get my money dispersed incorrectly more times than not, how hard is it to put $100 in checking and the balance in cash...no large bills please. The tellers never confirm what they heard, or even say one moment, or ok, or something. The only reason I stay is that they charge to cash a personal check there if you're not a member ($5!) and my mom is a member and regularly writes me checks. I hate Southern Lakes Credit Union! !

SOUTHERN LAKES CREDIT UNION REQUIRES A THUMBPRINT TO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT! They wait until the end of the process to inform you, of course. I walked out. Save yourself the time and never walk through their doors.

Low technology and disrespectful staff. Stay far away.
