Southern Lakes Credit Union N Washington St, Elkhorn

This is the worst banking establishment I have ever been forced to use. As soon as possible my vehicle will be refinanced through some other bank.

Today I stopped in at this shared banking branch. My flat billed cap and pair of Jordan’s had me judged from the moment I walked. Leah the lady at the counter gave me one extremely unwelcoming look as if I shouldn’t be there. She was the one who helped me. I said hello how are you today. Her response I’m ok as she stared me up in down with a sour look. Didn’t ask what she could help me with just looked at me with obvious judgement for about 30 seconds without a word. I said well I’m here to make a deposit for a shared banking branch. She says here is the form to fill out. I have been here a few times and every other time the gals at the counter were very kind and professional. As I have been in WI for about a year and have been searching for a local credit union to replace my current one. This experience surely determined I will not be using Southern Lakes Credit Union. Leah go have a drink and hope you fix that judgmental RBF!

Southern Lakes Credit Union recently financed a new vehicle for me. I was very pleased with their rates and their prompt responses. There was an issue with their operations that when it was brought to their attention, they promptly and politely fixed it.

Careful financing anything through them. Miss a payment by a day they will hit your credit. Don't use there online bill pay, it's your fault if it doesn't work correctly.

My brother Chia has had an account for several years with this Bank. Very helpful employees. I was going through an onboard process for my new employer and needed to have documents notarized and faxed and they did this for free for me even though I was not a member of this Credit Union. I am very impressed with Southern Lakes Credit Union and if I end up staying in the Elkhorn area I will most definitely be opening a new account with them and recommend this to anyone in the area.

SOUTHERN LAKES CREDIT UNION REQUIRES A THUMBPRINT TO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT! After the long process of beginning a new savings account I was told by the twenty-something with zero customer service skills that "uh, all that's left is we need your thumbprint." I asked why. She answered, "Uh, I think it has something to do with 9/11." I closed the account and went on my way. AVOID Southern Lakes at all costs!

Refinanced my van loan with Barb. She saved me over $100 a month and around $6,000 over the life of the loan. I highly recommend them as a financial institution with Heart and Soul

I had a car loan with almost 30% interest and they were able to refinance me to 10% and cut what I owed in half, the staff are very polite and always have the answer to any questions I have, its almost impossible to get a late fee since you have 10 days after the loan is due to make a payment, they also have a protection plan that will make your payments if you were put in a bad position where you couldn't work.

I had problems in my account, totally my mistakes. They helped me both times with courtesy and real concern to help me.
