Sound Credit Union 196th St, Lynnwood

Best WA bank I have ever been apart of. They offered me a credit card and vehicle loan better than any institution locally and even than nationwide banks. I have been blessed to have such an amazing staff at my branch to help with all the questions and service is amazing. I going to continue banking with sound for years.

I worked with Turi for an auto loan. I don't think anyone has worked harder for me! She didn't have to, but was in constant contact with the dealership to make sure all went well. If you need a good loan officer ask for Turi. She will really go above and beyond.

Got an instant approval online for a $7500 visa. I got a confrimation call from corporate 30 min after approval letting me know I can go to Lynwood to sign... fast forward 2 days, I went to the Lynwood location. Upon walking in to the place a lady asked how she can help, i replied I am here to sign for a credit card, the lady had this really sour look on her face and asked me to sit down. I was then greeted by kami, I advised her I’m here to sign for cc, a slight hint of attitude but whatever. Kami couldn’t find my approved app only an incomplete one. After searching a bit she said the cc app was denied (various reasons) I told her it was instant approval online, she told me it must have finally gone to an underwriter and they decline it. Kami was trying to get me out the door, I told her she needs to get the underwriter on the phone which she did. I spoke to tami, she gave me the same reasons why I was declined I told her I was instant approved and now declined? I wasn’t rude but I was very stern. Tami said it was too many inquiries and new accounts recently (which is correct) it was almost like she was slightly talking down to me and was educating me on what not to do with my credit. I wasn’t pleased but again I kept my cool. After questioning her on why I was instantly approved and now declined she told me she can get something approved for me and to go ahead and open member savings account. I signed up and was approved for $2500. I was also approved for a new car loan or refi online. They seem ok but it sound like it could have been catfishing me to sign up for car loan... I’m not positive. I left with my new debit card and visa in the mail 7-10 biz days... the employees seem ok, I know their job can be tough but this approval then denial was ridiculous. UPDATE: Spoke to Tami, I discussed my frustration with whole process. She granted me $5,000 scli. And my pre-approval auto refi option. Thanks

I have visited this establishment a few times... Sebastian (apologies if my spelling is incorrect) is fantastic at his job! I haven’t had the opportunity to meet other individuals there, but I appreciated the customer service of everyone involved!

Sound always felt more like a bank than a credit union that actually cared. Go with BECU or another reputable local credit union.

Came in looking for assistance with our car loan. It had been a stressful few days with our car being totaled and needing to get a new one. Crystal went above and beyond offering advice and guiding us through the process of getting a new car. I wish she could help me with more than just banking! Thank you so much Crystal!

Very friendly and speedy service. I’ve visited the Lynnwood and Bothell area locations and both have been pleasant experiences. Signing up was simple and the customer service was excellent during that as well.

I thought a credit union was supposed to work FOR their members. Avoid these people.

Worst customer service I've ever received. 2 ladies at the front were so rude and not helpful. Never coming to this location again.
