Excellent experience working with Owen Weddel of Smart Mortgage Centers. Owen worked to insure I received the lowest possible rate on my refinance and did a super-quick turnaround on my closing. The Portal was super easy to use when uploading documents and the process was super easy. This is not the first time I've worked with Owen. He is a great loan officer who kept in touch almost daily to insure everything was in order and I highly recommend him. Thank you Owen.

I recently went to this business location in Naperville to discuss my plans to purchase a new home this year. When I got there it appeared to be a completely closed down branch with no one there. I called their number listed online and it was routed to their Plainfield branch location. I spoke to someone there that confirmed that the Naperville branch was closed down and that they moved to their new branch in Plainfield last year. This gave me an instant bad feeling about this company. This company should have updated this information online last year when they moved like they are required so that people like myself and other potential customers in the area do not end up wasting their time with unnecessary confusion while searching for services online. I find it completely unprofessional and misleading that this company regularly updates their advertisements online under the Naperville branch location while also misrepresenting that it is still an open branch location doing business. I got a bad vibe from the whole thing and went with a different company in the area for my needs.

I've been in my new house for a little over 3 months, and I credit Michael Houston from Smart Mortgage Center for getting me through the financing portion of the house-buying process. From my first inquiry to be pre-approved through the closing, Mike was responsive to my questions and kept me informed. This is why I felt compelled to write this review: if it weren't for the Google reviews, I wouldn't have called, so the least I could do was add to the positive. My refinance was completed last week and working with Smart Mortgage was a pleasure. I had a sticky situation and others told me they would not be able to complete my loan but Brian Noe at Smart Mortgage was efficient and effective throughout the entire process. The rate is very competitive! There was clear communication throughout the entire process which made it much less stressful than it could have been. Did a refi took long but got done. They need to work on communication it lacks deeply and to answer the phone with a bothering “lo” no greeting I thought I had the wrong number Jon knows what I’m talking about because I dialed 203 his extension *Has nothing to do with Michelle. The rating has to do with Jon and how he answered the phone. He’s also apart of your company and his actions reflect on your company. Also My rate reflects my credit score along with historically low interest rates at the time I locked in and rating a VA loan/refi. Nice try

Brian is the best. As a business owner I worried the most about financing but that part was a breeze with Brian making it as easy as possible. I never had to spend more than 5 mins at a time to get him information. Took the time later in the evening to talk the plan through for about a hour. Very efficient and he put the stress on himself and not me to work with my attorney seamlessly. Now we’re in our dream house and Brian is a big reason why. Can not recommend him enough.

I was hesitant to write a review because I wasn't completely satisfied with Michelle, who I worked with. She did get my mortgage approved fast once I submitted all my paperwork. I wasn't happy with the communication from her. We started the application for our mortgage early in the year but our closing wasn't till almost 2 months later. We had a low interest when we first started the application. Our file was sitting there till we needed the clear to close. Our rate wasn't locked in and we had to pay higher now. I felt like she did not advise me well and obviously wasnt updating her current clients about the rates. I've been told by many people that their lenders update them in the rates so they can determine a lock in rate. I wouldn't work with her again.

Let me start out by saying I normally do not write reviews but due to the great job Ryan did for us at Smart-Mortgage i felt we should do something to show how wonderful of a company they are. So to start out we randomly called up Smart-Mortgage on a weekend evening and he guess who answers Ryan, Who we have been working with from day one he helped answer all of our question and was very thorough. We maybe spent 2 hours on the phone just going over details. Little did we know he would also be super knowledgeable about every aspect of buying a home. He really showed great patience and that he cares about his customers and he does his job to make sure the end result is the best outcome not only for the lender but also for the customer he helped get us in a great program that best fit our specific needs and requirements. He laid out clear options and made sure we where informed every step of the way. We where informed of every change and any deadlines with advanced notice as well as email text or phone calls. Before I came to Brian to get my refinance done on my home I had gone to 3 different mortgage brokers. None of them were able to find a better solution or help me with my refinance. When I finally called Smart Mortgage Center, Inc to get some guidance, I spoke to an operator who assured me that he was going to have a mortgage officer call me within minutes. As promised, Brian Noe called me and went over my refinance options and got me started on the application without further delay. He went above and beyond to assist me. He always kept in contact with me and updated me on the application process. He was able to get my payments down by about $300 a month and a better rate of interest. Had a great experience with Brian Noe at Smart Mortgage Centers. I refinanced my mortgage with cash out. Was a little worried at first about dealing with someone that I didn't meet face to face. Brian made it a smooth process for me which eased my fears. Brian contacted me the day after I filled out the online questionnaire showing my interest in a refinance. The next day I had the paperwork at my door to start the loan process. Brian did such a fine job that I did not have to send any other paperwork throughout the process. Any concerns or questions I had throughout the process were immediately answered by Brian. If I could not reach him right away, he always returned my call within the hour.
