Sierra Central Credit Union E 1st St, Chico

I went there today I have been a member for probably eight years now three different car loans and have never been late one time. I placed an online payment on the fourth and it didn’t post until the sixth that is one day after my due date. I did get a late fee of $20 and asked the front desk supervisor if she could please waive that for me she said nope sorry we can’t. I know better I am in customer service it is my livelihood. I’ve been proceeded to call a number that was placed on my bill and they offered to waive the fee I did not have to even ask. I will never go into that branch again honestly I might even get my car loan through a different bank. Just remember customer service is #1

Rude staff hard to work with big waiting time just to talk to a banker

Horrible customer service especially with Stephanie she's so rude I do not recommend this company at all. You're safe with going somewhere else! I've had nothing but problems on going continuously.

The people that work here are knowledgeable and friendly. I switched from a large bank while buying a car because the big bank wouldn't give me a loan even though my credit is great, and Sierra Central hooked me up. I'm really happy to bank with them.

These folks are so friendly and professional. I really enjoy that they have gotten to know me personally and have a wonderful attention to detail. I'm really pleased to have chosen Sierra Central as my banking institution.

Car loans rates can't be beat. Tellers and loan officers pleasant and get the job done. Rather be here than at a bank. When I got my new car the salesman found it hard to believe the rate and terms of my loan.

I’ve had an account with them for a year now and it’s just been a mess from the beginning. First they took away my ability to capture my check via the mobile app for months due to a mix up, then they deposited my money into someone elses’ account, and just the past few days my check was deposited twice into my account. They’re generally good with things, so I’m not sure if i just have bad luck or what. I will be changing banks soon regardless.

Yesterday I deposited a check in this bank's ATM. Half way through the process the machine locked-up. A customer behind me commented, oh yeah, the ATM's shut down at 3pm. So I go into the bank and speak with a teller. The teller and branch manager go into the ATM room, come out and instruct me to go back outside and see if my ATM card has popped out yet. I go outside and still nothing. Go back in bank, they cannot find my check, but did return my ATM card. Workers there said, well, you just happened to catch it when the machine was shutting down. I asked, "couldn't it be programmed to complete a transaction before it shuts down"? I just received blank stares with that question. The branch manager (Patty?) appeared to think that this whole affair was quite entertaining and it didn't cross her mind to apologize. I finally did get an apology from the teller as I was leaving the bank in dismay. The check was entered the next day after I phoned them at 9am. I get the feeling that Sierra Central Credit Union is a loosely managed establishment. It would benefit the organization if they improved training in customer service and communication between different departments.

Stood in line behind 4 people just to be told I need an appointment just to open a savings account... Guess I'm going to keep searching for somewhere else to bank my money.
