So I never believed that I would ever be approved, and I was told by many that paying a mortgage these days is cheaper than renting. So I decided to try. the first agency I contacted were totally not for me, and then I reached out to Andrew Borges at Shamrock Home Loans and I have to tell you it was the best that I could of done, Andrew was simply amazing. he always told me to think positive even when we hit a few bumps along the way. he never gave up on us, he went above and beyond and he really did make our dream come true so now we are home owners and it is all thanks to Andrew and his team., I cannot say enough about how amazing he was, he is a person that really cares for all his clients, very professional, kind, and courtesy. he just is all around a awesome guy to work with. I can not say enough good things about Shamrock Loans! You will not find an easier , friendlier transaction from any other loan institution. From our first conversation, you felt like family. We were processing our transaction on a 6 hour time difference in 3 different states and they were so on top of everything. I was working with an amazing employee and she ended up resigning from Shamrock Home Loans a week before my closing date. The team that picked up my loan process was unable to get me to close on the original date and was unable to keep me up to date about why things were being held up on their end. Shamrock told me 30 minutes before my appointment with the closing attorney that I would need to reschedule because we were not clear to close. Nothing I needed to do on my end, they just didn't have their end ready in time. We had sold our house and thankfully were able to move into our new house before we officially closed on it, or else - because of Shamrock - we would have been on the streets until they got their stuff in order.

What a horrible company frankly. They were unprofessional, unorganized, and unhelpful. After having at least 4 different conversations over the phone with 4 different people- who asked me the same questions over again, I was confirmed for an appointment with a loan officer. We showed up to the appointment and were told we would not be meeting with that officer but with another who also wasn't there. Long story short- don't waste your time here! Also not sure where all these positive google reviews are coming from but the yelp reviews seem much more realistic..

The entire Shamrock team were exceptional to work with. Deb handled everything professionally and on a personal level as well. Much was done electronically, my preference, but the personal touch was clear and evident. The disclosures and mounds of paperwork were carefully and clearly explained yet not beaten to a pulp as I’ve experienced in the past. We had an issue with our decision to not follow thru on a purchase post inspection and when we reached a deal on a different purchase out transition of info was simple and stress less. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Shamrock Financial, but more specifically my loan officer, Heather. Heather is a Cape Cod resident, but when I told her I was looking to purchase in central Massachusetts she didn’t flinch. She got me pre-approved almost immediately by taking the time to review my application line by line with me over the phone at my convenience. I must’ve called Heather over 100 times throughout the process with questions that she had probably previously answered, but she never made me feel like I was a bother. She made me feel like I was her only client (during a time when I know a lot of people were refinancing/buying). Heathers communication is superb and exactly what I needed as an overwhelmed first time homebuyer. She walked me through every step and explained what I should expect next. She was available to me when I needed her most and was able to find answers for me almost immediately, any time of day. I was working with Shamrock on obtaining a loan for a condo. On the last business day prior to close, I was informed that they did not know a piece of information that myself and real estate agent already knew and canceled my loan. They could, however, give me a different loan but at a higher rate. This appears to be a bait and switch. I immediately refused this offer and let the representative continue to talk for a couple of minutes about a breakdown in communication, without allowing me to comment on this. This is where I can speak! They have many good reviews (??) on Google so maybe this was a simple lapse in communication??
