    Always encounter fantastic customer service here. Appointments are reasonably kept. Financial transactions are always handled smoothly. Never had an bad encounter with an employee here. All are knowledgeable about finances and how it works. They also give you tips on how to improve your credit.

    There are no absolutes in life so I can't say that everything about SECU is awful. There are still good customer service agents but I'm finding that to be the exception - not the rule. I've been a member for 20+ years and there has been a noticeable decline in the level of service. Wait times are now, on average 20 minutes. To be fair, this is an improvement from when they were consistently 40 minutes (a few months ago). Businesses needed time to adjust to the changes COVID forced on us all but SECU seems to be lagging terribly. The most disappointing factor leading me away from SECU is that more often than not, customer service agents (I've dealt with representatives in the checking, loans and debit card departments) don't seem to have a confident grasp on their product lines. I've noticed their responses to questions often contain words like "should" or "might". When dealing with people's money, there should be a greater sense of certainty from agents and a feeling of confidence that they will follow up and follow through on issues (as circumstances dictate). SECU is not a horrible bank. It's middle of the road and perfectly fine if you never have to call in with questions or concerns but shouldn't a bank be more?

    During this covid it has not been the best experience at all. I had to get a new debit card and it was longer than a 15 days. We are in covid. I don’t have a credit card. I just have a debit. I’ve been borrowing money. then go to the bank for them to say oh we don’t print. What is going on ?? I don’t understand how hard it is to print a card

    I left secu for mecu because things was not going in a good direction the employee did not push me to stay he just granted my request and gave me his card after he listen to why I was leaving the company and apologized for my inconvenience. Needless to say the next day I reopened my account with the help of this employee in fact I opened 3 accounts. I appreciate the help of Mr.Alexander for taking the time to help me with awesome customer service skills 1000% a customer that will never leave again.

    Waited for video teller for about 30 minutes and thern deposited money and they couldn't print out a receipt. I have lost money in the machine a couple of times. I really don't like that there isn't a person to talk to and give my money to. I am really considering changing banks.

    I was leaving for vacation and I experienced an account compromise which almost canceled my hotel reservation. Once Secu issued me a new card same day, I was able to restore my reservations and have a wonderful trip after all. Appreciate your excellent service Secu Bank !!

    I met with Lauren P., she was so professional and walked me through getting multiple accounts with ease. The branch was clean and they had procedures for covid that Lauren followed every step of the way. I recently left Security Plus Financial and Lauren made my transition perfect! The teller machine was even more impressive. The teller was so friendly and welcoming. I am excited that I found a credit union that is up to date with technology for online banking and fraud protection. I am even more happy that they are close to my home, while offering many ATMs in my city that I can use. They are everything that I did not receive from Security Plus Financial in 7 years! Thank You Lauren for your customer service!!!

    I just dont like the new set up. Barely no human interaction. Everything communicated over a screen in a lobby with other people, not really secure to me. I really wish they kept the outside drive thru atm machines the way they were. The atm is now kind out and away from the building. Then every now and then, you got some moron patrons thinking the drive thru atm is walk thru atm. I will say this, even though I dislike the setup of the branch, their customer service is the best. Friendly and attentive always.They assist you to very end and make sure whatever issue you are having is dealt with and done.

    I waited close to 40mins to speak to an attendant after signing in. The one I was assigned to was a VERY RUDE woman that spoke fast, didn't allow any chances for questions almost as if I annoyed her, useless to say the least because I left with questions unanswered & it was honestly the worst customer service experience I've had in a bank. Especially one that I've been a customer for close to 6 years now. I even had to ask what her name was. Imagine my shock when she hands me her card and it says Prerna Jani ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER. Horrid, horrible service. Enough to make me close my account the next time I visit and post this lengthy review!

    The elderly woman at the front desk (with the wig, wears glasses) is very sarcastic and acts as if she doesn’t value her job, very poor customer service. She should honestly consider a different field, customer service isn’t her strong trait.
