Their staff is amazing, exceedingly helpful with ideas and alternatives. Miss Debbie answered every question I had and offered helpful suggestions. The Model homes were fantastic and helped visualize what the alternatives would look like.

Wouldn't use them even if my only option was living in a Box under a bridge, atleast I would know it was built right...

Our salesperson was very helpful and knowledgeable even though we ended up not being able to build at that time they out in a lot of effort for us for no charge before our land deal fell through. And their architecture/new build floor plans and upgrades and just flat-out amazingly beautiful. We hope to build with them in the somewhat near future when we're ready for that step again!

The sales staff treat you very good until you sign the final papers at the construction meeting, after that, good luck. Very rude customer service at the Akron location. The very first day of construction (Dig Day) began the horrible experience. There was no top soil skimmed and set aside for final grade. The excavation began with digging and throwing of soil and shale. They covered all the topsoil with the rock and shale leaving the final excavation a mess. No one will respond to assist with the mess and now I will have to spend more money just to bring in top soil to get grass to grow. The siding that was put on the house was the wrong color and the day it was being installed I stopped the contractor to tell them it was wrong. I called the Akron office and stated that the color of my siding was incorrect and they did nothing to help and put the wrong color on my home. I originally chose this company because after visiting over 5 different builders I felt that Schumacher was the best construction for the money, however the sub contractors used are the lowest bid and hurry to get done and on to the next one. I saved and planned for my home for years, and after retiring from the Army thought I was going to finally have my dream home. Now I feel like I have to live with something I never asked for and it is criminal.

A friend's home build is coming along horribly. This build only has poor craftsmanship (a monkey that's learned through a YouTube tutorial could do a better job), numerous delays in build, poor communication, and a lack of professionalism. Avoid at all costs.

Beautiful looking business. But, honestly I was broke down and waiting on a towtruck . It's true if you run over a plastic shopping bag, it can cause damage to your car !! It made my car smoke so bad ! If I could afford a home I would definitely go to Schumacher and check them out !!

They gave me a check to refund allowances not used... trouble is my bank cant secure the funds from Schumacher. The inside of the home is a disaster, the roof leaked, and drainage from the roof runs right down the front of my house leaving water pooling at the foundation. They never cared about grading.. there’s piles of clay higher than my house and their “25 foot” final grade is a joke. My grit is cracked my finishing trim looks like they beat every edge and corner laying the floor, they placed a mobile home storm door on the front that won’t open or close and told me they would refund the money for the door bringing me a “change order” the next day to sign and no one ever showed. Not surprising. Hopefully they’ll soon get the cash to pay me the money they owe me. Interestingly enough, if I were the one to owe them they would tack the 10% interest on top for the delay instead they make their own rules. Horrible company. Complete nightmare. Please look somewhere else to build your new home

My husband and I stopped by to walk through the homes and were met by a friendly sales person who put no pressure on us. Gave us paper work describing houses and simply said stop back with questions. We took our time and again, when we asked questions, there was no pressure regarding purchase. Just gave us all options available. Very friendly and would recommend.

Very nice company to build with. Staff at this location seemed very rude and didn't want to take me serious. I'd go to the other Schumacher in northern Columbus.
