I love this branch! I don’t live in the area but I will travel to this location just to handle my business. For starters you feel so welcomed by just walking thru the doors by the way all the staff greet you with their genuine smiles. Their hospitality is amazing and unmatched. They always have something to offer whether it’s snacks, pens, trinkets, you name it! Above all that I’d like to acknowledge one very special staff by the name of Robert Vargas. He is so kind, soft spoken, very patient, helpful and professional. He definitely went above and beyond and addressed all my needs and then some. He is definitely executing in his position and is giving SchoolsFirst a perfect representation. With the resources Robert provided me I will be on my way to fixing my credit and becoming a homeowner. It may be his Job but he’s moved mountains for me in a short period of time. Its very rare that you get exceptional employees so I’d like to make sure he’s acknowledged if he isn’t already. I hope this review finds the right people and that many get to experience banking on another level. Thank you Robert and the lovely team at Crocker village.

The website loads forever when trying to log in. The app is better but its starting to crash. If I didn't have a car loan there I would have moved my entire account to a smaller local CU. The people who work there are good people, the business needs to figure out their issues fast. Its been months since the merger and yet nothing but broken promises.

    Response from the owner

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, Qhua, but the feedback is appreciated. We will share your remarks with the team and hope to have the opportunity to demonstrate our dedication to you.

Their customer service and attention to detail is far below industry standards. They spammed me with cards and mail when they merged with Schools CU. The correspondence they sent me had no information on how I could move forward with my accounts. I loved Schools Credit Union and once the merger happened (Which was done poorly with lack of personnel to support customer confusion in branch and on the phone) it changed the entire way everyone thought about the credit union. For me personally, I'll be canceling my accounts and I already moved my payroll to my other CU. Coming from banking and management myself, the job could have been done far better. Whomever led the Marketing, Tech Support, Dev, and Operations initiatives heavily dropped the ball. Not to mention I still can't get logged in to my OLB and I'm having to go in person to get my business done to do these account cancelations and cancel the numerous cards I was sent. Amidst COVID, this merge was far below expectations as to how much better it could have been in this climate or even the credit union atmosphere. From a financial standpoint, even if the budget had to be reported in 2020 to accommodate this merge, it should have waited over the overwhelming idea that the members of the CU and their banking come first. Having a contract with MasterCard apposed to VISA is really behind the times as well. Although VISA may be potentially more expensive, I don't know anyone who would prefer MasterCard. I hadn't even heard of Schools First until they posted their name over Schools CU. Seems like it may be an issue with the board with Schools First.

Non existent customer service. They blame the long delays in reaching a customer service agent on COVID 19 (shame on you); when in fact the merger was poorly executed and they do not have nearly sufficient trained staff (per your own customer service agent) to handle accounts. This company does not deserve your money. They have had an extended period of time to get it right and they either don't care or don't know how to. If my account extremely important to you; your company has a very strange way of showing it. I think we should show our support of you by withdrawing our money.

I was a member of my prior CU since 1993 and since they merged with Schools First CU it has been nothing but a nightmare. Zero customer service help. My account, routing, and card info automatically changed and ruined automatic payments . I have no access to my prior banking info and dont have a local branch to call. Sad that after 27 years this makes me leave

I have followed all that was required of me as a member, I can't access my online banking nor can I set up a new online banking account. I called to get my member # but the call couldn't be completed. I may cancel my account and go with my husband's Golden 1 account where we have never had any issues. My family and myself have been members since the seventies. So much for loyalty...I’ll give them a week to get there act together!

Member of original Schools CU since 1996. Merger has been rough. Online access and bill pay interface is poorly designed. No one was able to set up bill pay for my auto loan (that originally came from Schools). Looking for a new bank, but UHG! what a big hassle setting up all the new bill pay accounts.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They will cancel your card without notice and wait until you go to use it and it gets declined for you to find out. They make it next to impossible to enroll for online banking leaving you no access to the money you ALLOW them to hold for you. They will then take a week plus to "express" ship you a new card leaving you literally no access to your money in the meantime. They will do this on the first of the month so you get behind on all your bills and when you call to complain they will say there is nothing they can do. This bank disgusts me and their customer service is abysmal. Hope they plan to pay for all of the late fees on our bills that are now overdue as a result of their negligence!

Worst bank when it comes to member services. I been trying to set up my online banking since yesterday. Today the hold time went from we will return your call to this company is temporally not available. Not to mention when I called a week ago and the customer svc rep said that member service will be open over the weekend to help transition accounts. That was a lie. Who does that!!!! Not sure about you but this is my money they are playing with and I am not happy about this service. I will be looking for a new bank.
