I asked about a car loan over the phone. Operator confirmed that I need to provide SSN, proof of income and proof of identity (passport in my case). Upon arrival to the office, I had a talk with a loan officer for 20 seconds. He asked for a California driver's license, and when I said he only had an international driver's license (issued by another country), he simply said he couldn't approve a car loan. I asked why the person on the phone had not given me this requirement. He said "have a nice day" and fell silent. Very bad customer experience. I just spent money for a taxi and get the information that can be provided over the phone in other places. Please take care that you have all information before visiting the office.

Recently went to get my vehicle refinanced. Great service from Marino who helped schedule my appointment at a time that works best for me. Albert helped me with all the paperwork which was quick and easy. Made the environment feel inviting and was very friendly. Not the greatest parking around this area but the employees make it worth the wait.

I wanted to take a second and let you know that Chris helped me today on several questions I had for our Non-Profit account. It is service like his that keeps me at SMCU-- just wanted you to know that he was helpful, kind and generous. thanks again for all you do...shout out to Chris:)

This branch is the worst Bad customer service. The employees have little to no knowledge. They have no control with the line, they talk to much about personal issues and not about banking and they hold up the lines, from the bank manager to the clerks.

They are not very professional; the service is terrible! Who is hiring these people?

Absolutely horrible bank. Customer service is offensively bad. Good luck trying to do anything with the loan department as workers will be slow to reply to you and even slower to process paperwork/requests. And even then, they will not due their due diligence and will give you outright wrong information. Avoid having to work with Melissa Tolentino, a loan agent, at all costs. Her manager, David, is equally unhelpful as he is more interested in making excuses for incompetency than actually proposing solutions. Worst customer service I’ve ever had from any type of business. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere.

I was leaving for college and needed to deposit some money the night before i left. I came to this location to use the ATM and the machine had some error and told me it could not make a deposit and to grab my cash... except the machine was broken and did not give me my money back. Because it was late there wasnt much i could do. I wrote an email with pictures of the atm to smcu customer service since I could not be anywhere near a location, but never recieved a reply. So atm took my money and they didnt even care to acknowledge me when i wrote them.

Margaret is great! She's been helping so much through the technology upgrade with time sensitive documents I needed. Excellent service.

3:30 on a Friday afternoon. I wanted to make a deposit. Line out the door, only two clerks and the manager comes out and one clerk goes away. Horrible staffing decisions.
