Salem Five Bank Rogers St, Lowell

I've never had a worse experience at a bank. I opened a CD account back in 2017 and in 2020 my account was closed and my funds were turned over to the state without so much as a phone call. The only attempt to contact me was through a single letter sent in the mail which I assumed was a statement and tucked away. Once I realized what it was I contacted the bank only to be told I needed to contact the state to claim my funds. After a good amount of back and forth for over a year trying to locate my money I was informed by the state that the bank reported the funds under the wrong name and that was the reason they couldn't locate it. I contacted the bank to have them correct the error but it's been over 2 weeks since and no one seemed to care. I still haven't gotten an apology nor has anyone made any real effort to help me. I keep getting the run around and I'm still waiting for them to fix the issue. I would never recommend banking with Salem Five. They really don't care about maintaining a relationship with their customers or keeping them happy.

I called twice and both times the teller was not helpful and rude. Hard time trying to get the information and she proceeds to hang up on me twice. Extremely rude.

Lisa helped me open an account for my son and I, helped answer all my questions in professional and timely manner. account was opened in 10 minute. Pleasant experience.

Very friendly, conversational when appropriate, and helpful. I always leave satisfied.
