RVA Financial Robin Hood Rd, Richmond

The reviews on here are a sham to rope people in to thinking it's a better institution than it is. Whenever good service is provided staff are instructed and even financially incentivized to ask for a good review. I know personally, because I used to be one of those staff. Don't believe the hype. This credit union is the most inept institution I have ever had the pleasure of working for. I literally quit and risked my entire financial livelihood after two years working there because of it. I was able to start my own business and am now above water but I risked everything to escape from this cesspit. One star service. One star staff. One star clientele. Need I say more?

After trying for a while to get a live person at the credit union, service was awful. My daughter and I are working on a refinance of our home and we needed information from the credit union. Tonji Coleman was very rude and disrespectful. Her lack of concern for what we needed was insulting. Timing was very sensitive to the matter. We needed to speak to her several times and her abrupt and blunt response was " I spoke to you already" "it's nothing I can do". When working with a customer I would think the credit union would have more respect for the customer. Still waiting on Carla Tuckwitter to return my call to discuss my concern. It's been a week today. I do realize we are all dealing with cov'd but being respectful is 101 customer service. Donna

Odie was amazing! Spent 30 minutes on the phone with him, his insight and experience was able to help direct my decision making and made me feel comfortable in doing so. Had spoken to a dozen major banks regarding when and how I should proceed with numerous major financial decisions and in which order... he laid it out clearly and concisely for me to understand how and why these decisions should be made in the proper order. No matter what you are looking to do financially, call RVA Financial and talk to Odie first. Thanks for your time and knowledge Odie!

I’ve been a member with RVA Financial since I was 17...31 years. Even through many name changes I’ve NEVER had a bad experience. Once again they made me happy... I found my dream vehicle and I had been watching the price waiting for the dealership to drop it. And on the day they dropped it below book value. I acted fast called the loan department to get pre approved and Danazia did her magic. The next day I was on the road to pick of my BEAUTIFUL dream vehicle. Even though the dealership tried to talk me into looking into a better rate with one of their finance companies, In my experience the dealerships have never offered what RVA Financial has. The process has always been quick and easy, the customer service is impeccable. Lastly with everything going on with Covid they even offered the convenience of sending all my paper work to sign through my online banking so didn’t have to go into an office. Thank again for all you do.

Don’t EVER bank with RVA. I cannot stress this enough. They make the most simple tasks difficult and drag them out for months!!! And don’t even bother calling to solve banking issues…because they’ll tell you themselves they don’t know.

Amazing customer service from Yolanda Evans!! She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. She went out of her way to make sure that I received the assistance that I needed and even called me back. Yolanda is a stellar employee and represents RVA Financial credit union well!

I have been with RVA Financial since I was a teenager and they are nothing but the best. Jason and Nourdjan are amazing at understanding exactly what you need. I truly appreciate the support and loyalty RVA Financial has for their customers.

This is absolutely the worst place to do business. They are rude and if you’re a non member they will not help you until all members have been helped first. They will threaten to call the cops if you speak out against the policies. I will never utilize this bank for anything and would suggest others stray away less they be treated as less than. The manager told me the members have precedent and I would just have to wait. I Would give zero stars in that was possible.

This is the WORST FINANCIAL INSTITUTION in Virginia. Wait times to speak with Customer Service is very long, It takes over 2 weeks to get a replacement debit card. You have to schedule an appointment to do any banking services with this Credit Union. They are not even part of a Shared Branch. DO NOT! and I Repeat DO NOT deal with RVA Financial unless you can stand to loose time and money.

This is a terrible credit union. Unprofessional service, lack of follow-up, and they don't even offer the basic services you'll find in most banks. Years ago they were called "New Generations Credit Union" & they were much better then, since the rebrand they have gone down the tubes.

I reached out to the online loan service and had the pleasure of speaking with Ms Danazia Canas. In 48hrs she had me approved and on my way. I couldn’t believe it. She was abreast on everything step by step. She was amazing!!! What a pleasant experience! I would definitely recommend her and use her again if I am in need of any assistance in the loan department. I've been a member of this bank since I was 14 and I'm now 42 even through all the bank name changes. The employees are so professional and has been so helpful with all my needs. They even taught me a few things about banking when I first started out. I always recommend this bank to everyone looking to open a bank account for themselves, children, or other family members. I really appreciate everyone at both bank locations. Thank you all!!

They have changed alot with the drive thru. No more tellers, you would have to go inside to talk to one.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Nourdjan recently as she assisted me in financing the purchase of my new vehicle. OMG, she was heaven sent! Searching for the right vehicle was a bit frustrating for me and once I found the right vehicle I just knew the financial part of the process would be also, especially with the pandemic of COVID-19; and processing of the paperwork necessary in completing the transaction. However, in working with Nourdjan during this process, she was amazing! She was courteous, very knowledgeable and professional and I felt like I had met a new friend.
