I had a very pleasant experience with Finance of America during my home loan process. Rodney Massie was always friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and available. I emphasize available! My realtor was very impressed that any time there was a question Rodney was right there. I cannot give enough praises to him and his associates. I have given Rodney's name to several people that have asked if I knew a good mortgage broker. I would rate my experience as AWESOME.

Rodney and his staff did a great job for us. We had just relocated to Florida and had no old relationships to work with. Rodney stepped right up and had us on the right track in no time at all. He and his staff were fully involved, were courteous and were always available to answer the myriad of questions that came up during and through the transaction, even "after hours". Obviously, we would use him again and without reservation endorse him.

I was extremely pleased with Finance of America. Rodney and Candice were great. They made sure everything went smoothly. Answered all my questions and kept me up to date and informed with everything along the way. Overall great experience. I will recommend them to anyone I know looking to get a mortgage in the future.

If your looking for a mortgage company to inform you on the night before you close on your house that nope, you do not have a loan and are denied. Then your in the right pace and this is the place for you. Thousands of dollars lost, supposedly pre-approved, Survey done, appraisals, inspections, septic pumped and also inspected. This was all for at 8 pm the night before we were all set to close, we received a call informing us that we were denied our mortgage. I have never experienced anything like what this company did. Do not waste your time here. Please learn from our mistake and do not put your family in the hands of this company. They are reckless, unprofessional, and have no care for you or your family.

Home buying can be a very confusing process and I would NEVER recommend Rodney or his team as a lender. Not once were we provide with a timeline of when documents should be submitted in order to maintain the projected closing date, which was postponed 3 times due to their lack of punctuality . We were hassled at 8pm on a Saturday night for further information. Not only did Candice ask for our personal banking login information but when confronted about the level of unprofessionalism in this request, no response was given. After closing, a month ago, we are still being solicited by FOA daily to enroll in other coverage policies. It was important to us to have a local lender, however what FOA won’t tell you is they will sell your mortgage to a larger company and you become just another account holder. Be mindful when shopping for a lender, this company doesn’t have your best interest in mind, only the bottom dollar.

Total professional, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, efficient, problem solving and more than willing to go out of their way to make things complete. Rodney and Candice knew how to meet our needs and answer all our questions and make our home purchase happen. From the first step to the final closing I would recommend anyone use Rodney and his resources to finance and purchase a home. If you want a successful transaction then use Rodney and Candice to reach a satisfactory completion. I highly suggest you contact Rodney for you financing needs.
