My husband and I attended The First Time Home Buyer's Workshop which was hosted by Randi Davis, with Rocky Mountain Land Trust. While this class is required for certain home loans, Randi made it as fun and enjoyable as possible. She provided excellent information, interactive responses, and even had fidget items to keep you busy while listening to the riveting information. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Land Trust's First Time Home Buyer's Class!

    Response from the owner

Thank you for the lovely review! We're glad you enjoyed the workshop.

Office hours state Mon-Fri 830-430. However it's anyone's guess if they'll actually be open during those hours. Twice now in the last week I have gone to the office once at 10am and once at 4 pm with noone there and the door locked. Rang the bell for a good 10 min and knocked noone unlocked the door. This is not the first time they've been closed during "business hours". Very frustrating especially when I'm trying to pay them money.

    Response from the owner

We're sorry for your experience. We are a small staff of three people, and can't guarantee that someone will always be in the office (especially around the holidays). Feel free to call the office at 719-447-9300 x5, before you make the trip, to make sure someone is here.

I am so very grateful to RMCLT, with their help and guidance I was able to purchase my home four years ago. With what has happened in the last four years I don't no where I would be right now, certainly not in my adopted state of CO. Each of them helped me at every stage. Big hugs to Vicki, Randi, Pricilla (realtor), and Tracey (proj mgr. Love you all!

My father happened on to aGazette article 11 plus years ago about RMCLT. I contacted them and took their classes. As it happened, I qualified and started my home search. Clearly, in 2009 the market was a whole different thing. But I happened on a house, and they approved it. Fast forward to 2020. If it wasn't for this program, I would probably still be renting. And hating every minute of it for various reasons. I used to be a rental consultant, I know what the Springs has to offer. And now, the cost of renting makes no sense when you can own. Whatsoever. RMCLT made my dream come true. The reason I waited this long to review, I have no answer. The only reason I didn't give a "5" was because I wasn't perhaps made as aware as I should have been about how they recoup their investment. I'd recommend that interested parties make sure they understand. There is nothing like home ownership and I thank RMCLT for making that a reality.

    Response from the owner

Thank you for the review, Tina!

The stipulations that have to be met are RIDICULOUS. Seriously, 49k for 2 people combined? If I made that little, finding a home to own would be the LEAST of my problems.

    Response from the owner

Thank you for your thoughts, Meg. Obviously you are not a low-income family. Consider yourself lucky that you can afford to purchase a home on your own. This program is not for everyone!
