Built my home with Rockford had 2 major issues. Basement floor leaked and builder just sealed interior using paint looking coating and started to use concrete for new homes in my community. My AC broke within 3 years and it was poor installation. Builder and contractor said they cannot do anything about it cos am out of 1 year warranty. Builder uses contractors hence they cannot control quality or stand behind their construction quality.

I'm currently in the process of building a home with Rockford homes. Buyer beware of the complete dates that they provide you. Or beware if they don't provide you with a complete date at all. The communication during the first 15 months (still waiting) Yea has been close to non-existent. Highly disappointed and don't want to hear about covid and supply chain issues when I see other builders knocking homes out. Just started reading reviews and it seems like this is a common theme. The crazy part is that if they just communicated I would be in a different place. Be better!

I waited a long time to write this, because I kept hoping that Rockford would redeem thenselves, but it has been 3 months and we are having a extremely similar experience to the below reviewer, "Sam". Almost identical, right down to them installing the wrong tile and being blown off by everyone. We have almost 100 things on our punch list that were supposed to be addressed by closing 3 months ago, and none have been done. I wish we would have delayed our close, but we would have lost our interest rate lock. If you go with Rockford go in with the lowest of expectations, then go lower, then go miles and miles below that, deep under the Earth's crust, and you probably still won't be low enough. Prepare for everyone to deflect, blame, and try to pawn you off on somebody else. The *supply chain issues* that they blame have nothing to do with the fact that are ok with installing damaged items, ignoring emails, installing wrong items, trying to drywall a house with leaks, and even then, they are actively advertising about "new neighborhoods", and "New lots!" So it must not be that big of a concern.

Great organization to work with! They listen to you and do what they can to accommodate. If they can’t do exactly what you are looking for they offer other suggestions.Unlike other home builders in their category they let you make structural changes. We recommend Rockford Homes to anyone thinking of building a new home. This is our third Rockford Home!

Lovely place. mostly lovely people. Staffers are lovely. Well taken care of and groomed. Do a lot of HVAC work here very friendly with a lot of the homeowners.

We have dozens of items that were never addressed on our punch out list and are now hitting our 90 day follow up after we have closed and are still receiving push back on items that were never addressed. Communication is atrocious. We have been flat out ignored more times than not. Rockford cuts corners and knows the demand is so high for the housing market that they can get away with horrible customer service. We have found damaged items in our new home that are simply not acceptable yet Rockford pushes back on us (if we are lucky enough for them to respond) saying it's good enough or they just may offer to repair it instead of replacing it. This is a NEW home. Damaged items shouldn't be repaired, they should be replaced with a new item. It would be like going to pick up your new car and seeing them buff out your door because they put a giant scratch down the side of it and then saying "good enough right?" It took over 5 months to get them to replace our bathroom tile that was installed incorrectly. I'm confident their business approach is to make the process as miserable as possible so their customers simply give up and then Rockford doesn't have to do anything. Once they have your money they simply don't care anymore. This is all after being delayed by over 4 months and now we still have workers coming in to fix their mistakes 3 months after we closed. We had workers here the last 8 days and more coming back in a couple weeks to fix items that were brought up before we closed. Rockford's inability to execute in a timely fashion has been extremely burdensome and has impacted us financially.

They charge a premium price with average to below average quality of work. Poor communication. Unresponsive or completely ignored at times. I understand the building process is generally hectic, but I’m guessing Rockford has really started to subcontract these builds and have lost their quality.
