    Going to try and clean this up the best I can. Been with Rivermark a few years, I like that they have a small credit union feel, and have always had good, straight forward service. Recently I inquired about upping my credit, there was clearly a miscommunication, and rather than trying to understand why the info given was wildly out of pocket I posted a bad review, in error. Since then Janet reached out and she was AMAZING! Janet offered her email up and began to have some resolve. I was sent over to Kelly in lending, Kelly explained everything to me and helped me finish my transaction with upmost attention to detail and prompt responses.. I will say this much, Rivermark will go above and beyond to help you get what you need. Thank you for all of your hard work and patients with me.

    I've been a member with Rivermark before it was Rivermark. I've had lots of experiences over the years good, bad, but always reasonable and I never encountered anything that caught my off guard. This "video teller" experience though, it's really different. I'm all for technology making things in life better, but I don't see how the sterile interaction through a video with a teller that isn't even in the same building is an improvement. Maybe I'm old fashioned (I can't believe I'm saying that), but I miss the personal interaction, especially in regards to my money. Give the people an option, have some real people there, and maybe some video kiosks as well, and give your members a choice instead of what I can only assume was a cost saving method. And give the people a freaking chair to sit down in if they are going to be at a kiosk. I had to wait for my deposit to be signed off on due to the size. I'd have liked to sit. I can imagine lots of other scenarios where people would like to sit and wait for the teller to come back to them.

    Hello Durran! Thank you for your feedback. Having the personal teller kiosks allows us to assist our members M-F 8-8 and Saturday 10-6, instead of only during normal banking hours. I will certainly pass along your request for a chair. There should be lobby chairs nearby that can be moved for the times when someone would like to sit. Thank you for that suggestion! ~Janet B

    I accidentally left my debit card in the ATM the evening(9/27) before an emergency dental procedure. Paul an employee called me to inform me I had left it and a customer reported it. He said they would have to issue me a new card the next day. I was distraught because I needed to pay for my procedure early the next day. Paul worked with me to find a solution. I was able to come into the kiosk inside and he assisted me from the virtual teller kiosk getting the cash I needed for my procedure. Thank you Paul and Rivermark for being the best a customer could ask for. I recommend you guys to everyone.

    In person experience is terrible at this branch location. Don’t expect to walk in and be helped, or bother to schedule an appt. you’ll either get “double booked” or get “rescheduled” to a new date even though the day prior when you made the appt they had full openings, but suddenly couldn’t make room for your appt after double booking you with another member. Poor management. Very disappointing as I and many of my family members bank with Rivermark and have for years. Debating on leaving this credit union. It’s a competitive market out there to have such poor customer service and work ethic in your staff.

    If you own a business, do not take your accounts here. Rivermark has been changing their business practices over the years to eliminate customer service for businesses. Does your business use change of any sort besides what an ATM can dish out? You won't be able to get it here. Does your business deposit checks routinely? You can only put them through the machine one at a time. Do you deposit through their online system? If they reject a check ONE TIME after 15 years of doing business with them they put you on a 3 month review before you can online deposit again. They no longer care about any individual customer, they want to serve only those customers that don't actually need any service besides a machine.

    I've banked with Rivermark for 10+ years. I've never had a problem at any other branch. I scheduled an appointment to meet with a banker to discuss some financial questions. First problem, they don't have my appointment scheduled. Can't find it! They ask me to wait a few minutes. I end up waiting 45 minutes until I ask the branch manager for an estimate. She connected me with a banker about starting an account. I shared that I was there to ask some questions about my finances, not start an account. I was then informed that the person who would be able to give financial advice was not there that day, but they could have him call me. A nearly Kafkaesque situation with poor service. Consider using another branch.

    This branch is so hands off that it's like pulling teeth to get a live person to assist you. I just needed change and that took an act of congress to complete which I didn't end up getting. I just ended up going to OnPoint. They at least have change in their drawers.

    Very hard working yet friendly staff are in this place. They are busy at times, but never too busy to say hi, have a good day or goodbye. Even if you're there to use video tellers, they will help make things go smoothly.

    I have long touted Credit Unions over commercial banks when talking to friends and family, because account holders “own” the institution - as opposed to shareholders of commercial banks, who see account holders as the product/profit source. But after a couple of years I closed my account at this particular credit union because I felt nickeled and dimed to death like I was at Wells Fargo or Citibank. I regret ever telling friends and family about rivermark. Additionally, there was NO interest in customer service here. My questions about oddly timed Overdraft fees were ignored, and my questions about loans were also (apparently) a waste of their time to even acknowledge. I have only ever once before closed an account at a small credit union, and that was because I was moving out of town. When I closed that other credit Union account years ago, they bent over backwards trying to convince me to keep my account open. They practically begged me at their branch, and sent me cards in the mail. Some VP of whatever at that credit union called me to ask if their was anything they could do to keep me there. Not so with Rivermark. I called to ask about what I needed to do to close my account, and the rep on the phone seemed downright eager to lose my account. Don’t get me wrong, it was helpful - but I was kind of shocked how quickly they were like, “ok you mentioned that you were thinking about closing your account so it’s done, your balance will be mailed to you as a check, don’t let the door hit your butt on the way out the door!” Not even one second of “Sorry you’re leaving, why? Is there a way we can keep your business?” standard procedure that I would expect from a professionally run financial institution. Good riddance. Their online banking is clunky, their branches are in weirdo/awkward locations, and the only other Rivermark member I’ve ever met IRL was a straight-up con man. They’re giving out nothing-down mortgages now too (80/20 loans) so if I were still a member I would be worried about their solvency.

    I had previously given you guys a 5 star review but today I hit my limit on how much can be tolerated as a customer. I tried resetting my password over the phone and I was being asked random security questions that did not relate to my account. After answering 4 questions and still being asked more, I was fed up and decided just to go to the bank and get a debit card. When I get there, I am asked to give the teller/banker my pin number. PIN number is supposed to be something that you keep yourself and not share it with anyone. Why would I give the banker that information? To remedy it, I was told to call and make that change but why would this exist in the first place? If both customer service and the branch are providing this level of service then this is extremely unfortunate. I hope this reaches out to people wanting to give this place a try. I don't know exactly what happened in the last two years but this credit union has changed for the worst.

    Outstanding service from Kevin Dolan and team on getting my Mortgage done at the best rate and in an extremely timely fashion. These guys are good and were very clear with me every step of the way. I would highly recommend them again and again!

    You will not find a worse credit union to deal with. I've been a member for many years. They were very good until about 5 years ago, since then the service has become significantly worse. Had problems with credit reports they caused, double charges that were eventually fixed, but the worst part is, their customer service flat out does not care or show any concern. Most replies to the problems I've had were a very weak apology, they never resolved the credit report mistake they made, never followed up, and the ladies I spoke with after showed absolutely zero concern. If I didn't have a credit card with them, I would terminate. By far the worst customer service I've had from any credit union.
