    I have been a member with First Tech Credit Union for over 35 years. On Thursday 03/31/22 I went to the Cedar Hills Branch to deposit checks for my business which has been with First Tech for 15 years. I can tell all of the tellers and manager are NEW. I am angry that Masha the manager was rude and put a 2 day hold on my funds. I approached her and asked if this is new policy, since about 1 year ago they put a 1 day hold on check only releasing $500 the first day and then the following morning the funds were available. I am a small business owner and cash flow is important. Masha told me that she does not know me and the check was larger so SHE decided in her infinite wisdom to put 2 day hold on the check. As this is not policy I asked if she can follow policy and she declined. I was mad that I am being treated like a criminal or dishonest requiring a 2 day hold. I deposit over $250K to that institute every month. Due to the negative experience I had with Masha I am going to consider changing banking institute. I typically go to the Nimbus branch and have never been treated like this. I give the Nimbus branch 5 stars. Cedar Hills Branch need to improve on there customer skills. Especially Masha. NOT HAPPY.

    All you hear when you come here is "the wait time looks like about 45 minutes" or "looks like we don't have any availability for that today" It's so frustrating how slow and inefficient they are, if you're going to make people wait 45 minutes to withdrawal from savings you need to raise the amount that can be pulled from the ATM. It's pathetic how long you make people wait. Find faster employees. EDIT: wait times are still trash. Waiting 35 minutes for a replacement card and there’s 2 reps standing and doing nothing. Usual. God why haven’t I switched banks? Before you go in make sure you have an hour to watch people stand there and do nothing

This means members without appointments may have longer wait times or may need to schedule an appointment for another time. Virtual appointments are a great way to meet with a First Tech representative without needing to visit an Experience Center. You can schedule an appointment to review your financial needs and provide alternative options. Appointments are not needed to use a drive-thru or ATM.

    We bank with USAA (primarily online military banking) but had to find a local credit union/ bank who would be able to give us a cashier's check without having a membership with them. We called around to many places, many would not even allow us to connect with an agent without having a membership or others couldn't meet our needs. We called First Tech which had a call back service so we didn't have to hold on the phone. We got a return call in less than 20 mins and they were very helpful on the phone. It turns out that they have to outsource the customer service calls due to the sheer amount of calls they have been receiving during the pandemic so customer service gave us inaccurate information. HOWEVER, the staff onsite still agreed to accommodate us and at no charge which we greatly appreciated! There was not a long wait and there was a staff member who would come in and out of the branch to talk with clients/ answer questions while we waited. Overall we had a great experience and were so thankful to First Tech for being able to help us out! They will definitely be at the top of our list if we choose to get an account with a local credit union.

    I have been a member of this branch for over 20 years. Since the move of location and a system remodel, the wait time is terrible. To simply deposit cash into my account it is a 20 min wait. There are only 3 people here in front of me...can the branch please go back to multiple tellers and get rid of the “lobby” style wait. This is a HUGE inconvenience!

    The customer service is friendly but the wait times and new apple storewaiting system is awful. For only a few customers in the store it took over 10 min for someone to help me. I wish they would go back to the regular bank format

    Terrible experience. One actual "teller", 15 people waiting for help. Waited for 30 minutes to make a simple deposit. I really HATE the new branch model. Also overheard 2 potential customers being turned away, with "sorry for keeping you waiting, we can't take care of your request, you'll have to come back during the week". I've been in this branch 4 or 5 times now, always the same problem. Guess I'll travel all the way out to the Cornell branch, which is a traditional user experience with real tellers and only takes a few minutes to make a deposit.

    This is a terribly designed location and a shame that they closed the other branch near by, the other branch was so much more useful. No drive thru or drive up services, only a walk up ATM at this location. Banking inside is a weird experience, it's like standing in the middle of the lobby at a computer kiosk with the teller. But that's only after you have to check in and wait in the lounge area to be called for service. I dont need a lounge in my bank, I want a teller at a counter and a drive thru ATM.

    Only 2 stars compared to what used to be 5 stars. I hate that First Tech no longer has direct contact phone numbers for each branch. I just need to talk to someone local...and not wait on a generic phone line unable to reach a human. I liked that First Tech used to be more of a homey local bank, but now feels like Wells Fargo. I waited on hold for over an hour to talk to someone last time and my total time for one issue on the phone was over 1.5 hours. I now have a very urgent need to close on my hhouse and cannot reach a human. One thing I do like is that they have free overdraft protection. I've been with this bank for more than 20 years, and am no longer as happy as I was at the beginning.

    If I could give them a 0 I definitely would ! I had closed my accounts and twice they kept on harassing us about over drafts ! Paid the first one then one of their team members calls my husband and is so rude to him and disrespectful not letting him have a word ! Over 66 $ Come to find out they had been holding 850$ of our money and not even letting us know !! I will never ever In my life bank with them again ! So unprofessional! It’s unreal !!!

    I’m kind of surprised at all of the complaints that I am reading about the new branch. As soon as I got through the door, I was greeted and then assigned to someone to help me with my accounts. I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Sure, it doesn’t look like your typical bank, but I love the new layout. I also like the fact that I can go to one person and they are now cross trained to handle various types of transactions. As for complaints that there is no privacy, that is not true. If you do not want others to hear what you are saying, there are private rooms that anyone can go to. The only complaint that I do have is regarding restroom facilities. In the former branch there was a restroom for men and a restroom for women. Now there is only one toilet available for all. That was definitely a poor move! I do have one suggestion… In the waiting area it would be nice to have a Keurig machine. (I accidentally posted this review on the website for another branch)
