Riverfront Federal Credit Union S 4th St, Reading

As a small nonprofit it is incredibly important to have a financial institution that is as aligned with our focus on serving the community. Having the opportunity to speak with a local service team and not be routed through an endless computerized system makes my job easier. Their products are the right fit and their service team is amazing.

This credit union wasn't that great when I first opened accounts here. Now they've gone from bad to worse. They closed their South 4th branch without notice, but gotten a new ATM that doesn't work most of the time. I'm disabled and it's hard for me to go to another branch. Before they shut it down, they closed the inside and you could only go through the drive through. I could go on, but I think you got the idea. Find another place to avoid the incompetence at all their branches.

I called this place once to inquire about a loan for my mom and the staff wasn’t very helpful. Not sure if she was having a bad day or just not willing to assist us. We prefer to get the money from a friend and paid her in 8 months. No hassle no attitude no interest.

I think they're great. They have always been there when I needed a loan and gave me a great rate. Credit Card with a great rate. Very friendly staff, alway the same people. Not a huge turnover like at other national banks. Remember this is a local business. So yeah it takes a little longer for things to clear, there's only two ATM/locarions, small fees nothing crazy like the $115 dollars mentioned by someone. Find me a bank without fees, please these other national banks have ridiculous fees. Riverfront has come a long way with the digital and mobile services. I've been a member for 15+ years, love this place wouldn't not bank anywhere else!

Horrible customer service, and the tellers and manager are incredibly rude. Clearly, customer retention is not their top concern. My husband is from the UK, and he was just made a permanent resident. However, while we were going through the immigration process, my grandfather wrote us both a check, as a wedding gift. Since my husband did not have a Social Security Number, Riverfront refused to cash it - even though my name was also on the check, and it was to be deposited into my account. We took the check to another bank, in the area, and we did not need to jump through the bs hoops that Riverfront requires. Now, today, we took a check to Riverfront, with my husband’s name. He was just issued a permanent residence card, and Social Security Card. Riverfront would not accept the check, because he does not have a state ID. WHO THE HELL MAKES THESE BS RULES?! I have never experienced such bs from any other bank!! We took the check to M&T, and they were more than happy to cash the check. I know where I will be moving my accounts.

Inside lobby has not been open for months. You must use either the MAC machine or the two drive-thru lanes for all transactions. Drive-thru requires LOTS of patience and wasted fuel. Terribly slow service with 1 teller handling BOTH lanes. Now, thus branch is closing every service but the MAC machine effective in May. Personal Customer Service has steadily been killed in favor of mobile banking apps. I will be moving my banking needs to another credit union that truly values customer service and is close by my home.

If I could give this bank no stars I would. My card has been locked 4 times in a month and they do not even notify you. It’s now a holiday and they are closed and no body can help me out. I cannot wait to cancel my account with them tomorrow.

This is honestly the best bank in Reading. I called to apply for a loan and Vivian answered the phone, she was so professional and polite and told me exactly what I needed to do their was no confusion at all. Vicky is great as well.This bank continues to impress me every time I go there. All the employees really know their stuff. I love it here.

Absolutely the worst credit union in the entire world ! Fees, fees, fees, oh and more fees!!!!! Not only that the people working their don’t know what they are doing either took forever just to get help to set up the mobile app! And it was way harder than it needed it be! Also super slow at processing your money and they will withhold it as long as possible so they look like an awesome bank with money when it’s really your money they’ve been withholding for a week and then bounce your check because the funds you put in a week ago still didn’t clear yet when most banks would have had it cleared in 2 days! Seriously the most atrocious bank ever ! Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this place !

The absolute worst credit union I have ever dealt with. They are unwilling to work with you in any way and they love putting the fees on your account. Glad I only have a loan with them. I’d never put my money in this credit union.
